And now some top tips on the Knight Manager skill from the excellent John Snowling: I thought I’d write another post to let you know the latest goings on in Knight-manager. Things are going to get very interesting, especially into next season. As you know the Thorium shards can be made into both arrows and spears. The arrows we use in the dark forest to hit the dragon with and hopefully get Dragon Scales. We now have something called the Dragon Rock in game where you can go to the top of the mountain and donate gold to bring a new dragon back after the old one has been defeated. For that gold donation you can possibly get a Scale Shield Blueprint which you can learn to make scale shields from 25 scales and 10 silver bars. If you kill the dragon in its lair then you would obtain 3000 diamonds from the king and a blueprint for a dragon saddle. At the end of this season, both the dragon Saddle and Blueprint will carry over to the next season. Oh yes if you equip your scale shield and if you have more than 2 of them then you have a chance if you fight the dragon in his lair of getting a dragon egg. Once you have your egg you equip the shield to get out and go to the dragon nest where you wrap your egg in a wolf hide. Over a few days it takes up to 5 wolf hides to keep your egg warm and eventually a baby dragon will hatch. You need to feed your baby dragon regularly with orc meat from warriors otherwise it will fly away. Once the dragon has gone up a few levels it will b a young adult and can help you find resources in the dark forest and also help you in the arena. Think of it as having an extra member of your tag team who can do 10 times the damage that your able to do to a knight. Once your dragon gets to level 10 and if you have a dragon saddle, you can ride him in the dark forest and your dragon likes to eat orcs which is fun. I haven't managed to get the dragon egg yet but maybe next season i'll do it. The next big changes are hunting. The developers are planning to bring in some new hunting skills next season. There is already a command to select what hunting skills you want active. You can have up to 3 hunting skills active so if you owned them all you can do strategic hunting in the dark forest so if you know the zombies are out you would want fire power to deal with them if normal orcs then maybe other hunting skills you would utilise. Shaun will probably know that the blackjack in the Tavern has changed. You now see the dealers card first before he gives you your cards. I think its incredible the changes that are going to be coming and trust me I think there are more changes coming up. One good tip I want to give is if you can and you have the diamonds buy lots of tickets for the fair. I did this a couple of weeks ago and last week. The first time I bought 300 tickets for 1500 diamonds and have one hell of a blast at the fair. I came away with probably 15 bonuses probably more tons of servants tons of arrows, mushrooms and apples and about 5 million in gold plus about 900 in diamonds. I loved the free spins I kept on getting and it was so much good fun I was laughing with tears running down my face. When the first order gets to 80 percent I'll start building up my tickets for the next season. Your diamonds, skills,bonuses and tickets carry over to the next season so it would be good to go to the first fair of a new season and get tons of stuff to help my knight out. One other small thing I have noticed is when you do the daily adventure your knight is summoned by you from his castle and asked to undertake the adventure. I must admit I do love prestige mode 1 which is opened after you complete the first 100 adventures. You repeat the 100 but they are 30 percent harder and you do get a really good pay out of gold and diamonds the further on you go. Anyway Robin and Shaun am loving the shows you have done so far. Amazing additional insights into a Knight Manager's day-job, provided courtesy of the listener who goes by the name of Headwig in said epic game:

The order hall is where you go to upgrade the Monument of Haste, the Shrine of Luck and the School of the Servants. The monument of haste boosts every member of the orders speed, the Shrine of Luck boosts everyone's Luck in the order and the School of the Servants means you have a better chance at producing arrow makers with Bridget. The Monument of Haste and the Shrine of Luck are upgraded by donating gold to it while the School of the Servants is upgraded by donating surfs to it. At the time of writing the Shrine of Luck is at 89, Monument of Haste is at 89 and School of the Servants is at 36 so you get a boost to your speed by 89 percent, luck by 89 percent and the higher the number for the school means you will produce more arrow makers.

One event that didn't get mentioned is the one that takes place on Sunday. This is the province battles which are done by those in orders. You have to be level 50 to be put into an order by the King. There are 4 provinces that willl boost different things for your order.

DARKSHORE IS HELD BY THE MERCIFUL ORDER The Order that can occupy the Dark Shore will receive a 25 percent discount from the Blacksmith.

HIGHLANDS IS HELD BY THE LAZARUS ORDER As long as the Highlands are occupied by an Order, all members of the Order will receive 10 percent more experience points in battles and adventures.

SWAMPS OF SORROW IS HELD BY THE MERCIFUL ORDER If the swamps are occupied by an order, its members receive 25 percent more experience when hunting in the Dark Forest.

PLAGUELANDS IS HELD BY THE LAZARUS ORDER If an order occupies the plaguelands, the members of this order get 15 Percent more Gold per hour.

You will be given a certain amount of Province coins each week depending on where your order finished in that particular battle. So if you finish 1st you get 30 province coins, second 40 and third 50.

Crafting This is fairly new to the game itself. You have a backpack that you put any mushrooms, apples, axes or Orc Meat you get from orcs in the dark forest. You can get scrolls and Blueprints and Recipes that you can learn to make different things. You can get these from the different non-player characters (npcs - controlled by the game and not other actual players) like the king, Bridget, Marcel Joe etc. You have access to a work place i'm not sure what level that opens but I think it would be before level 50 or just after. In the cooking pot you can make Fried Mushrooms that give you a 75 percent heal in the dark forest if your attacked by orcs like Grunts and upwards. yes, orcs now attack you that is new. Apple Pies give your fighter 200 more energy points and are very useful for double thursday when you want to boost your energy. Small meal will give you a heal while battling in the arena. Wolf Baite (which is very hard to make) will allow you to hunt wolves in the dark forest at night. If your lucky to win a hunting tournament, then you win a blueprint for a wolf coat. This allows you to wonder the forest and you can't be seen by the orcs nor the Dragon. Those sort of skills train your cooking skill. Your engineering is trained by making silver bars from 500 silver arrows. You tend to get the blueprint from the Blacksmith after paying for an upgrade to your sword armor or quarters using diamonds. Throwing axes can be used in the dark forest. When I first started, you used to pick up the axe after you killed an axe thrower and throw it at the next orc. Now you have to equip axes and mushrooms in order to use those in the Dark Forest. Thorium Arrows are made from 100 silver arrows and a Thorium Shard which you tend to find in the dark tower. These are used when the Dragon makes an entry into the dark forest. If your lucky to hit the Dragon with one of these arrows which you have to equip before entering the dark forest, then you get a Dragon scale. Thorium Spears are really great in those high levels of the dark tower for killing the mobs.

There is so much to this game its incredible. The developers are going to add more and more and the Facebook group is a great way to ask questions and get help from other players: https://www.facebook.com/groups/knightmanager I strongly recommend you go to the dark tower when its open because that is the best way to replenish your diamonds and servants til yourable to kill Orc Surf traders in the dark forest.

At the end of a season the order that reaches 100 percent wins. Any bonuses and skills you have bought in the shop, will go with you to the next season plus diamonds. You will lose arrows, servants, gold and your crafting stuff plus all your hunting bonuses but to be honest I don't mind that. Even after a year and 3 and a half seasons I am seriously loving this game.

Its probably the only thing my A-lady does now - when i'm not in the arena I am in the dark forest while my energy regains.

If you can, though, get as many Chains bonus and as many Feather beds as you can. Chains will stop your servants from being stolen and Feather bed will boost your energy so you can do more fights in the arena. Tag team is good if your in the dark forest, then you will still help your team mate if he or she is in the arena. Blood Guard is one of the combat ranks that you can be promoted too on Wednesday. Its also worth mentioning if you don't play for an amount of time or you have a lazy week you can be demoted a combat rank too.

Also, don't get frustrated if you don't get promoted for weeks at a time it can be based on the activity of people at your rank or a number of other things. If you can try and go to the bar once a day and have a beer, play cards with Joe and buy potions as well as doing upgrades. Trust me, you will love it if you get up to levels like General and higher. I'll leave you to find out what that unlocks for you but trust me its brilliant.

Finally I wanted to mention another command. If you don't want to listen to the whole fight then either using fast fight or quick fight you might find easier.
