For Episode 33, Sirk and Tara talk about a taboo subject that many are curious about. Sex is definitely the salt and pepper of an intimate relationship but what if it is elevated to another level? Those levels can be difficult to define but swinging and engaging in threesome are options that Sirk and Tara are open to in order to savour the benefits in terms of their relationship.
Today, we are also joined with Melissa and Karina, our relationship gurus, to assist me in asking questions and sharing views about the topic.
Episode 32 is the first installment of a 3-part series which tackles unique, if not unusual practices of a modern couple. For this episode, we are joined with Sirk and Tara, who will share their views on what should be the present-day approach for couples with exes, what is the set up for their children, why ego should be chucked out and on how to make things flow smoothly and lighter.
For the next 3 weeks, let us open our minds and see these options discussed by Sirk and Tara. We might learn a thing or two and may ease complicated set ups.
We are so excited to proceed with this episode. It's just so positive that it fits as our comeback episode. We haven't been so productive as podcasters for the past 8 months and we apologize for the long wait but we really tried our best, it's just that we were so occupied since last October.
For today's episode, we have Jenny Francisco, a former human resource manager turned yoga instructor and practitioner, to talk about passion income, her pathway towards wellbeing and her love for yoga. She will also talk about an upcoming event in the City of Pines on the 19th of June, to be held in Baguio Convention Center, entitled: Hilom 2022- International Day of Yoga.
Please listen to our long postponed comeback. We hope that you have missed our voices :)
What solidifies a band? Can a band name carry through many generations despite their changes in line up? How can perseverance and passion play in what we call as the band's soul? These questions are substantiated by the experiences of these three individuals. Listen to their wisdom and have a glimpse of their music.

Genre is not defined by the musical structure of the songs we play but what emotion our souls feel as notes travel through our thoughts; transcendence possesses harmony, and that itself is when genre is born. But what genre can music be classified if it entices an aura of extreme beauty?
Sheela and Django came from different worlds of musical genres, fused to bring forth magical tunes that show passion beyond validation and recognition; to leave a mark in this world.
Listen to them talk about their group Ethereal 2600. Be amazed by their perspective on this manifold of musical subjects.
This episode may be considered early for the month of October but the grim that the Halloween, Dia de las Brujas and Day of the Dead, is present; like a magnet bringing you to a different dimension of the unexplored. For our 28th episode, we have Russell of the Uno Juan Youtube Channel. An unexpected chances of prodigious stories sporadically bloomed throughout this hour of recording. Listen and be amazed.
The pandemic has brought much of the worst in humanity despite the need to be united. It has created divisions of ideals and intensified loathing towards self and others.
This episode proves that all of these negativities can be defied by a group with purpose of enriching the noble Filipino value of ‘Bayanihan.’
Let’s listen to Baguio Barter Community’s Tante Galang and let’s learn how her borrowed idea from the 8000 year-old Mesopotamian way of trade, flourished into a gigantic cause in the city of Pines.
Welcome to our 26th episode here in the Adobo Collection Podcast. Together with Steffie, we will talk with our ate Caleen R. Picart to help us digest more of the contents of her book entitled: Begin from Your Being. It is an 18-chapter book filled with her wisdom. Let us take part of that knowledge that our mentor has to share. Consider this also as a sneak peek of something that you will have to read, hopefully after listening to this episode. Enjoy.
FOR A FREE COPY OF THE BOOK, please send a message to caleenrpicart@gmail.com. As mentioned in the podcast, she's happy and willing to give you a copy of her book. Let her be your mentor and feel what we experienced as a team here in The Adobo Collection Podcast.
Some might say that our modern day heroes are our OFWs but suffice to say, it is an understatement. Behind the folds of remittance receipts are blood, sweat and tears. Being a hero is a choice but there's no say when you choose to work abroad. Migrant workers do it because it is something that needs to be done.
Despite that dark tone of these introductory words, Auwie, Jhalyn and Marco still try to take everything as a pathway for growth. Positivity is something we pick up as we take our chances teaching in another country. The passion of sharing knowledge overpowers the loneliness and struggles.
This episode is not only about hardships but it also aims to help people who are planning to make a transition working abroad- for them to know the specifics and have an insight on what they have forward.
Doing freelance work and doing your jobs remotely are new pathways that are being embraced by the society nowadays. With the onset of this pandemic, people are more open to these options and local companies, apart from the usual offshore offices, are now finding ways to accommodate this idea. What choices do we have at present? Is this the new thing for many career moms out there? Is there an avenue viable for men? What are the perks and the struggles? Let us listen to these experts: Stacey Lim-Quero, a work from home mom with more than 10 years experience of freelance work on her belt; Laurice Apilado, a former BPO analyst, currently working from home as a virtual assistant; and Niegel La Guardia, a former office-based employee and now working as a team leader for an online ESL school.

It's been two months since our last episode. We were dried out, exhausted, busy of our personal schedules and unproductive as a team. We hate to admit it, but it's part of a creative journey to stumble upon days like these. It is part of the enigmatic vortex sucking down ideas from our productivity soul. The important thing is that we are back and recharged. Part of our recuperating regimen was to munch on some of the amazing food that is sprouting nowadays. It's as if a culinary explosion happened while the world is suffering from this pandemic. It's as if the restaurateur god suddenly broke loose and sprinkled encouragement to all chefs, making them open up places for people to be cured of the psychological toll that this pandemic has imparted to us.
Today's episode is the pilot for our "Food Stop Series." Our 21st episode is something special since we have a local creator Rachel, who manages her page "Chubby Shell Dyornal." She reviews, makes videos, streams and writes content that focuses on local hangout spots in Baguio City.
We talked about new and old places, spots where some not aware of, our comfort places that offer us some food blanket when we are hungry of nourishment. Some of the places mentioned here are: Cafe' Sabel in Ben Cab Museum, 2D Cafe', Cafe Moto, Oishi Ramen Bai Baguio, American Rib House, Craft Burgers by BrrGrr, White Canvass, Le' Blume and Yolk Korean Egg Sandwiches.

It all started with nightmares, sweats and catching of breath which progressed to anger and dependency to alcohol. All of which we see in people suffering from PTSD. What may have caused this symptoms to Emcy has been kept deep inside of her for years. Listen to her story and understand her advocacy. For people out there who are in similar situation, we hope that you'll find strength not necessarily to speak up but to realize that you are not alone in this fight.

Listen to this simple conversation with The Adobo Collection's Marco and Steffie, where they talk about the current books that they're reading, what is their reaction to The Social Dilemma and what do they prefer when reading books (Kindle or Paperback)? A laidback topic to keep us calm amidst the chaos brought up by this pandemic.
We have not posted anything for three weeks and this is an episode that brought us back to the cycle of creativity. It reminded us of what our purpose is and what we really love doing. Books play a major role in our lives and it molded us to what we are now. Our ate Coleen helped us realize how these information coded on pieces of paper affected our personality.
There's a myth as shown in the Bee Movie that states: there's no way that bumblebees should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyways. Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. This is definitely not a fact but it's good to see it as a motivation for us to do more of what we are capable of, to exceed our limits and to think that we can be the best of who we are. The idea of humans reaching the ceiling of possibilities is non-existent.
Listen to our Ate Coleen talk about how powerful human will is.
March is National Women's Month and we spent time with Jade P. Leung from Young Women Initiatives and Pagkakaisa ng Kababaihan para sa Kalayaan to share insights on topics such as: the struggles of many Filipinas in the modern times, methods to combat VAWC cases, the dissent of many against Duterte's sexist remarks, gender-related discrimination, and the positive effects of Feminism.
This close to 2-hour episode gives you a picture of a 21st century woman and her fight to achieve a glorifying-stature of empowerment. We encourage you to listen and be part of You Win's and Kaisa Ka's programs and advocacies.
Joneiley Borromeo was 15 when she got pregnant of her first daughter. Listen on how she describes her struggles of a difficult but fruitful journey as a teenage mom.
Let this story take you to a dimension where most of us fail to understand. This is what this episode encourages, especially for March is considered the National Women's Month in the Philippines. We want to empower our teenage mothers who are being looked down and judged by some fraction of this society. Joneiley is a perfect example of a woman who stood up and proved to everyone that the term "teenage mom" is synonymous to "strength."
Coleen believes on on John Maxwell's take on success- being able to find your key strengths. Listen to her explain more on this as well as answer the question "How does success look like?" Let this inspiring pilot for our mini-segment be a guiding light for your journey through growth.
This is Adobo Talks, a mini-segment under The Adobo Collection Podcast: which aims in connecting an individual to the society. No questions, no hosts, just pure idea.
We have been producing material for almost four months now and we are very thankful of the overwhelming support that we are receiving from everyone. This podcast has served as a therapy for all of us during these times of pandemic, that it makes every episode so exciting to create and publish.
We do understand that most of our episodes are almost an hour or two in length and not everyone has the luxury of time to listen in our discussions, this made us create the Adobo Talks. Adobo Talks is a mini-podcast series under The Adobo Collection Podcast that aims to provide voice to individuals who want to share about anything, any topic that resonates to them. We are hoping to find people who want to inspire, motivate and educate others of whatever cause or advocacy they have. This is what the world needs and we have to do it now for time and energy will never be limitless.
The Adobo Talks produces episode every week or as often as possible. It will showcase speakers who will share their ideas for 5 to 20 minutes, no questions, no hosts and no limits on what the presenters want to say. Its primary aim is to help people connect their ideas to the society and initiate freedom of sharing.
If you want to be part of this project, share your opinion and be a speaker, please send us a message on Facebook or email us on the following email addresses: theadobocollectionpodcast@gmail.com or marcoadmin@theworldandmarco.com
This episode was recorded on January 31st. Listen to Coleen Rilloraza-Picart, a clinical operations manager, a writer, a teacher and a big fan of BTS. She shares her insights on humility, stoicism, being on rock bottom, the search for success, setting milestones, New Year's evolution, her experience of writing a personal check of 1 million dollars as an affirmation; and the importance of looking for a mentor as well as connecting to the universe. It may seem bulky for an introduction, but this description will never be enough to show the things that we have learned during this episode.
P.S. Tapusin ninyo ang episode na ito. Napakahalang mga mensahe ang maririnig ninyo.
Welcome dito sa Adobo Collection Podcast. Bagong panlasa kami ngayon.
Naway magustuhan nyo itong bagong episode. Enjoy.
Three brave souls share their stories of courage in the face of desolation. This two-hour conversation about their personal journey towards self-compassion showed me the real value of happiness; for happiness may be a very superficial concept, to some it is a term with an off target definition. This an evening full of tales that will bring you to another side of the social spectrum, that will raise your awareness, that will awaken some of your emotions, and that will make you question if there's such a hack for happiness. Listen to Yts Alvarez, Cerberus Mel and Alex Cruz Patawaran and be awed by their life narratives.

Depression has always been a dreadful topic to talk about. The stigma attached to it tortures the people who associate themselves with this condition. 2020 and the pandemic have catalyzed a huge number of cases of depression-related suicides. In this episode, Marco and Steffie welcome Karina and Alex, both of which had bouts with depression and anxiety. Listen to these speakers and learn the true picture of depression.
It's a night full of music here in the Adobo collection podcast. This podcast has been an idea in the shelves for a very long time. A sudden gathering of music enthusiast suddenly changed everything. Joining is in this episode are Raphael Pong De Guzman from his seminal bands, hairy god mother, swine, and stab. We also have Allan Dayle Basa whose recording was unfortunately not saved due to technical issue. I want to take this chance to apologize to everyone for not having the opportunity to hear his exceptional wisdom. I promise to work with him on future episodes and you'll understand the regret that I have right now. Also we have Bien Bulatao, a bandmate of Pong in HGM. Some parts of Bien's recording was also not saved by the recording site that we were using. Together with Allan, I'll make sure to have them more on this podcast in the future. Lastly we have our first woman guest, Karina-Lopez Barientos, our ate. All of them will share a simple discussion with Mary and me Marco to talk about music, influences and suggestions on what to listen to.
Please enjoy this episode.
Are Filipinos considered a passive nation? Is criticizing a form of civic duty? Does our constitution allow us to voice out our concerns and demand for a progressive change? These are the questions that the group tackled on a politically-fueled evening. Listen to Marco and Mary as they exchange their views with Epi Fabonan III from the sought-after podcast Epic Analysis. Be enlightened and feel the strong-spirited discussion of these 3 patriots.
Listen to Mary, Steffie and Marco as they talk about the so-called doomed year. 2020 has taught us a lot of things and this deep dive session will make you realize what are those changes. Is it a good change or a bad change? The group stepped up by touching critical issues on politics and how the government butchered the proper policies that our citizens should've benefited from. They also highlighted how this pandemic affected the mental-wellbeing of many of us. This is the our take of 2020. We do hope that you'll enjoy this last episode for this year.
Steffie, Glenn and Marco were all born and raised in Baguio City. They sat down one evening to talk about their experiences, memories and nostalgic moments during holidays while growing up in the city of pines. The cold weather, Session Road, Burnham Park and failed exchange gifts. Listen to them this Christmas day and you might even have your own recollection of Baguio's version of Christmas. Enjoy!
A comeback episode after a very busy pre-holiday schedule for everyone. The group decided to end this series on movies and work on a holiday special for the next episode. This last installment focuses on thrillers, horrors, slashers, and supernatural. Mary, Marco and Glenn share their chosen movies/series that satisfied their revulsion of fear. Are their choices related to their innate fear? What made these movies/series special for them to consider it part of their list of most horrifying films they ever saw?
Movies serve as great escapes and fantasies for viewers, especially if the two people finally overcome their difficulties, declare their love, and experience life "happily ever after", implied by a reunion and final kiss.
Marco, Paul, Steffie and Mary talk about their favorite drama, romantic, or love-filled movies of all time. Their choices might shock you but eventually, at the end of their conversation, you'll learn that the language of love is universal.
Can a movie affect how a person perceives happiness? What makes a film funny? Are comedic films underrated? These are the questions that come to the collective's thoughts when they started this episode. This is the first installment of a three-part episode about movies and their impacts in human lives.
The moving pictures have come a long way from silent gestures, odd and obscure to inspiring figures that shaped perceptions, feelings and ideas. The group decided to discuss movies/documentaries that framed their views about happiness. Steffie shared how she decided to live a zero-waste lifestyle because of watching "The True Cost." Marco strengthened his political views after witnessing the Gwangju massacre in "A Taxi Driver," and Mary was stirred up on how "Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap" can be a form of statement in a society where change is needed. These movies provided an implicit happiness to these three individuals despite the very diverse genre of each film. Listen to this short conversation and you might pick up films that can change how you see things.
The group met on another weekend to discuss what timeline is for them; how do they deal with important decisions in life-the factors they consider; and what are the worst conditions that can fuel an individual to follow a certain path. Remember that this collective never claimed to be experts in life but their goal is to share, help and somehow empathize to people who are/were in similar situations as theirs. They are The Adobo Collection Podcast. Listen to this week's flavor. Enjoy!
This is an unplanned episode. One Sunday evening, the spontaneity gasoline has filled the arteries of the collective on a supposed to be short meeting. Driven by a simple question that piled-up to form this experience, all revolving within the context of fear, the group decided to record it and see where it goes. The conversation took it's course through sharing of thoughts about having regrets on their deathbeds, committing to life choices, dodging the expectations of other people and finding how to deal with the never-ending uncertainty of the future. Let's hear how these individuals worked to conquer the life timbre of their fears.
This is the pilot episode of The Adobo Collection Podcast. The collective welcomes you, sets your expectations and gives you a taste of their adobo. Get to know the speakers and be enlightened of the things to look out for in the future episodes. Listen to Steffie, Marco, Mary, Glenn and Paul. Be part of this collection.
