This week on the #3UNIQUES Podcast, I share my word for 2023.

I haven't always been consistent with picking a word for the year. If it suits me I will.

I remember back in 2018 my word was INCREDIBLE because I didn't want to respond when people asked me how I was doing to say, "I'm fine". Most days that year I wasn't fine. I was on my gap year, finalizing my divorce, transitioning my daughters to a new home, and unemployed. It was easy to default to being fine to escape how I was really feeling. I made a commitment to myself if I couldn't respond with "I'm feeling incredible" that I needed to do something that day for me to step into the feeling of being incredible.

I skipped a few years and then came back to the word of the year in 2022. I chose UNLEASH and I keep using it in my business.

Listen to this episode to learn my word for 2023.

I'm curious what your word is. Leave me a reply on my IG page @your3uniques.

This week on the #3UNIQUES Podcast I am talking about 10 money beliefs I cultivate when I am scaling my business.

I fundamentally believe the more money you have, the more fun you can have, and the more you can help people. Aspiring to have more money asks you to be more of who you genuinely are.

You may think the opposite of that is true, that the pursuit of money makes us greedy. It forces us to treat other people terribly, and we shouldn’t ever try to achieve wealth, or we’ll hurt someone on our way there. These beliefs are quite pervasive, and people cling to their thoughts about money.

However, we can all agree that money solves a lot of problems.

I love to look at these 10 money beliefs regularly in my life and business. I do this intentional work as I know from past episodes in my life that my money blockers will come up. Typically, when I am taking on something new in my business, even if I desired and masterminded it.

This week on the #3UNIQUES Podcast, I'm distinguishing between Get Goals and Purpose-led Goals.

Often we are in a reactive state around our Get Goals because we are solely focused on the result. We have a win/lose scorecard going on in our head. While it's okay to have that some of the time, where we typically see transformation is with Purpose-led Goals. These goals inspire learning and growth and long-term behavioural change.

So ask yourself, is your purpose in life to win every shot...or to become a better player?

Join me this week as I talk about my #1 business strategy is partnering with my brain. A close second, is partnering with my nervous system.

Yup…it’s not a SWOT Analysis, 7-S, Balanced Scorecard, SMART goals, OKR’s, Porter’s Five Forces, PESTLE Analysis, VRIO Framework… oh my gosh!!!

I have learned and applied all of these and more in my lifetime of leading teams and organizations. I have studied these in certifications, courses, diploma programs, university biz school programs, executive meetings and retreats with top business consultants.

And none of these even come close to increasing my effectiveness as a leader and business entrepreneur to partnering with my nervous system as a key business strategy.

Hi Friends!

I'm back with another solo episode on the #3UNIQUES Podcast.

Today, I'm talking about the how to develop more leaders in your organization and what is required to do this. More specifically how coaching supports leadership development growth exponentially greater than technical training.

If you are a first time manager, you may need technical training and supervising your department, i.e. submitting payroll records for your team, hiring training, etc.

If you are a manager not new to your role and has career goals for higher levels of advancement, then you need coaching.

Listen to understand the difference and reach out if you have any questions, or would like to pursue coaching with me.

Next on #3UNIQUES - Catherine Roscoe Barr - Neuroscience-based Wellness Coach.

Catherine started her fitness career in 2001, when mindfulness was absent from the industry and the spotlight was on pain and deprivation – long gruelling workouts, bland calorie-restrictive diets, and little attention to the power mindset and mental health play in habit formation and success.

Having received a neuroscience degree years prior,  Catherine was drawn to the emergent field of mindfulness.

Research into contemplative neuroscience, neuroplasticity and stress management completely blew her mind – these were the missing pieces that together with exercise and nutrition were the secret sauce she’d long felt was missing.

Catherine is one of the Guest Mentors in my ALIGNED AF leadership coaching experience - enrolment starts in June for a July 2021 start.

In 2016 Drew Madden and Emily Yeates co-founded Rivers To Sea Stickers.  Inspired by their love of water centric sports, Rivers To Sea Stickers became a way for them to spread their artwork to surf and river towns all across the west.

For Drew, growing up in a family of river guides, rafters, and kayakers- he was immersed in river activities from a young age.

His 10 year career as a river guide has influenced his artwork and now he creates stickers and illustrations to remind people of their outdoor experiences.

Drew’s art is light hearted, cheery, and uniquely his own.  Each sticker is hand drawn and watercolored- distinguishing himself from other computer illustrated stickers.

Helping people recover from anxiety is Dr. Russell Kennedy's life’s work. His own anxiety started as a result of growing up in a chaotic and confusing household with a father who suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar illness. Russell wrote his book Anxiety Rx to make his father’s eventual suicide and the suffering of his family mean something: to help others like himself who experienced chronic worry to understand and fix the pain that was sucking the life out of their lives.
