S07E11: The Seeds Among Stones
Series Title: The Parable of the Sower
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to today's Episode of the Fountain of Life Podcast. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus gives us more than an agricultural illustration—He gives us a spiritual diagnosis of the human heart. The same seed is scattered, the same word is released, but the outcome is not the same because the condition of the soil is not the same. Today, we focus on the seed that fell on stony ground: the heart that receives the word quickly and even joyfully, but lacks the depth needed for lasting growth. On the surface, there is excitement. There is movement. There may even be visible signs of life. But beneath that shallow layer of soil, something hard remains untouched. And when pressure comes—when trials, temptation, opposition, or disappointment rise like the heat of the sun—the plant withers because it has no deep root. This is one of the most sobering lessons in the parable: spiritual growth is not sustained by emotion alone. It requires depth, grounding, endurance, and a heart willing to let God’s word penetrate beyond the surface. So what does stony ground look like in our lives today? How can we recognize shallow faith before pressure exposes it? And how do we allow God to break up the hidden rocks in our hearts so His word can take root and bear lasting fruit? Join me on the Fountain of Life Podcast as we explore the lesson of the stony ground and discover what it takes to move from temporary enthusiasm to deep, enduring faith.

S07E10: The Soil Matters
Series Title: The Parable of the Sower
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to this episode of the Fountain of Life podcast. In the parable of the Sower, Jesus gives us a powerful picture of how the word of God is received into the human heart. The same seed is scattered, but it does not produce the same result everywhere it lands. Some seed is quickly taken away, some begins to grow but withers under pressure, some is choked by competing cares and desires, and some falls on good soil where it takes root, grows, and bears fruit. Through this parable, Jesus shows us that the condition of the heart is central to how we hear, process, and respond to God’s word.
So what really happens from the moment we hear the word of God? Why does the same message transform one person while seeming to disappear from another? And what can we do after hearing God’s word to make sure the seed does not remain on the surface, but germinates, takes root, and becomes fruitful in our lives?
In today’s episode, we will explore the journey of the word from the ear to the heart, the spiritual conditions that either hinder or support its growth, and the practical ways we can cultivate good soil within us. Because fruitfulness does not begin with the seed alone; it begins with a heart that is open, attentive, obedient, and willing to let God’s word take root. Join me as we reflect on the parable of the Sower and discover how to receive the word in a way that leads to lasting transformation.

S07E09: Why Jesus Used Parables
Series Title: The Parable of the Sower
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Jesus often taught in parables not merely to give information, but to awaken understanding. A parable has a way of slipping past our defenses, stirring the imagination, and inviting us to examine the condition of our own hearts. In the parable of the sower, Jesus uses the familiar image of seed falling on different kinds of ground to reveal how people respond to the word of God. In today’s episode, we will focus especially on the seed that fell by the wayside—seed that never took root because the ground was unprepared. What does this image teach us about distraction, hardness of heart, and spiritual vulnerability? And how does it speak to our own walk of faith? Join me as we reflect on the lessons of the wayside soil and what it means to truly receive the word of God.

S07E08: Why Jesus Used Parables
Series Title: Lessons from the Parable of Jesus
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Have you ever noticed how a simple story can slip past our defenses and land straight on the heart? Jesus often did not begin with an argument—He began with a picture: a farmer scattering seed, a lost sheep, a father waiting at the road, a Samaritan stopping to help. And somehow, those stories still read like they were written for our moment.
Welcome to the Fountain of Life Podcast. Today we’re beginning a new series: Lessons from the Parables of Jesus. The parables are more than memorable Bible stories—they are mirrors that reveal what is happening inside us, and windows that show us what the Kingdom of God is like. They speak to timeless human realities: pride and humility, fear and faith, forgiveness and bitterness, distraction and devotion, greed and generosity, justice and mercy. That’s why their lessons are still deeply relevant in a world of noise, pressure, and competing voices.

S07E07: Improving The Stories That We Tell Ourselves - Pt 7
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The mind is a master storyteller, but not always an accurate historian.
Growth begins when you notice which parts of your story are interpretations, not truths. Many limiting narratives survive simply because they’ve never been questioned. Writing down the “story version” and then listing only the verifiable facts underneath it is a surprisingly effective reset. Before we ever change our direction in life, we usually change the story we’re telling ourselves. What are the important things we need to know or do to change the narrative about our lives if we know the stories we are telling ourselves are not helping us grow as individuals?
Long before our behaviors change, the meaning we assign to our life usually does. When the story we’re telling ourselves stops supporting growth, what’s needed isn’t denial or forced positivity, but a deliberate and compassionate narrative update. I discuss some principles and practices to help change our internal narrative. I discuss some of these practices and principles to help change our internal narrative

S07E06: The Stories That We Tell Ourselves - Pt 6
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to today's Episode. We all live by stories—stories about who we are, where we come from, and what we are capable of becoming. Some of these stories empower us, while others quietly confine us, shaping our choices, our courage, and even our faith. Have you ever stopped to think about the story you’re telling yourself right now?
Before the prodigal son ever packed his bags and left his father’s house, he had already made up his mind—and that decision was driven by a story he told himself. A story about freedom. About fulfillment. About life being better somewhere else. It wasn’t a true picture of his reality, but it was convincing enough to cost him everything.
And then, somewhere in the middle of the brokenness, another story emerged. A different one. This time, it was a story filled with humility, hope, and the possibility of grace—and that story led him home.
The truth is, we are all living out the stories we tell ourselves. Those stories can quietly pull us away from God and wreak havoc in our lives, or they can awaken us to God’s love and point us toward redemption. In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about the stories we tell ourselves—and how those stories shape our choices, our faith, and ultimately our destiny in God.

S07E05: The Stories That We Tell Ourselves - Pt 5
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to today's episode. Have you ever noticed how much the stories you tell yourself shape the way you live? The way you talk to yourself about your past, your abilities, or even your calling can quietly determine how you show up in life. Some of those stories push us forward—but others keep us stuck.
In today’s episode, I want us to look at this idea through two familiar biblical characters: Gideon and King David. Gideon’s story is one many of us can relate to. He saw himself as weak, insignificant, and unqualified—even while God was calling him a mighty warrior. There was a big gap between who Gideon believed he was and who God said he was, and stepping into his purpose meant rewriting that inner narrative.
David, on the other hand, did something different. When he faced fear, opposition, or uncertainty, Scripture tells us he encouraged himself in the Lord. David reminded himself—again and again—of God’s faithfulness, power, and goodness. Those reminders shaped how he saw himself and how he faced his battles.
So today, we’re going to reflect on the stories we tell ourselves. Are they grounded in fear and limitation, or in the truth of who God is and what He can do? Because when our inner narrative lines up with God’s truth, we become far more ready to be used by Him.

Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to today’s episode, where we explore the stories we tell ourselves—and how those inner narratives can quietly shape our faith, our choices, and our outcomes. In the parable of the talents, the servant given one talent, acted from a distorted view of his master, and that belief limited his fruitfulness. In contrast, David’s life shows what can happen when our inner story is grounded in the truth of who God is. Together, we’ll look at how these narratives form, how they influence our walk with God, and how to replace limiting beliefs with truth that leads to freedom and growth.

Still, testing can produce deep spiritual growth when we approach it with the right posture. We don’t have to be afraid when we understand how God views our trials and how faithfully He walks with us through them.
In this episode, we explore how to overcome the fear of trials and embrace the strength God provides along the way. My hope is that this conversation encourages and equips you today.

S06E16: Unto us a Son is Given: Christmas Episode
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Welcome to the Fountain of Life Podcast! It’s Christmas time—a season full of joy, family, and celebration. But you know, Christmas isn’t just about gifts under the tree or festive meals. At its heart, it’s about the incredible gift God gave us: a Son, sent with a purpose that goes way beyond the manger.
Think about it—when a family welcomes a son, it’s about carrying on traditions and values. But when God gave us His Son, it was about sharing His love and purpose with the whole world. The prophet Isaiah gave us a hint about what this Son would mean for us, and as we celebrate, it’s a great time to reflect not just on Jesus’ birth, but on what His sonship means for our lives today.
So, as you’re enjoying the holiday season, let’s take a moment together to dig a little deeper. What does it mean that God gave us a Son? How does that change the way we see Christmas—and ourselves? I hope this episode brings you encouragement and a fresh sense of hope. Wishing you and your family a wonderful, blessed Christmas

Ingratitude can be very costly. It not only deprives us of positive experiences but also fuels negativity in our lives. When we are not actively grateful, we create space for discontent to flourish, which can detract from our mental well-being. Persistent ingratitude can lead to a negative outlook, causing us to push away friends, family, and colleagues. Additionally, ingratitude makes us miss out on the beauty of life. The negativity bias, which is the tendency to give more weight to negative events than to positive ones, can dominate our attention. A life of gratitude is a deliberate choice which we must make. While it is not always easy, being grateful for the positive aspects of life can have a profound impact on our mood, outlook, and overall well-being. For instance, expressing gratitude for the support of family and friends can strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging. Studies have shown that people who regularly practice gratitude experience a 23% lower level of stress and significant increase in happiness and reduction in depressive moods. Additionally, acknowledging the small joys in life, such as a beautiful sunset or a kind gesture from a stranger, can enhance daily experiences and contribute to a more positive mindset. Furthermore, practicing gratitude aligns with God's will for our lives as it encourages us to recognize and appreciate the blessings we have been given. Thanksgiving is more than a verbal response, it is related to gratitude, an emotional and rational sense of appreciation of good. Consequently, gratitude is the foundation of true thanksgiving, and thanksgiving is actually gratitude in action. I discuss the basis of gratitude and how it relates to thanksgiving in this episode.

Nature therefore speaks and glorifies God. But what if the Sparrows and fields of Lilly were extinct at the time? Unfortunately, because humanity has accelerated the extinction of uncountable number of species of plants and animals over the ages, we are losing species before we ever get the opportunity to hear and understand the divine messages they embody and how they may benefit the well-being of humanity, which is not what God intended. In the Bible, God has laid out principles of sustainable utilization of plants and animals which are still relevant to modern man. I discuss some of these principles and the wisdom of God behind them.

S05E15: Biblical Principles of Sustainable Usage of Land & Water
Series: The Church and the Environment
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The Cuyahoga River in Ohio has caught fire on 12 previous occasions, but the fire in 1969 finally got the attention of the US govt to the fact that, ordinarily, Rivers don't burn. The Govt's response was the formation of the EPA in 1970 to control pollution in the US. The dust bowl of the 1930's due to poor land tenure system and agricultural practices elicited similar response with the formation of the National Soil Conservation service, part of the USDA. The Bible likewise provides guidelines which God has put in place to safeguard the sustainable utilization of the earth's resources. Humanity often pay a steep price when the wisdom embodied in these guidelines are violated. In this episode, I discuss some of the guidelines God established for ancient Israel with regards to sustainable usage of land and water, which are still relevant today.

S05E13: This is God's Earth
Series: The Church and the Environment
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The Bible establishes unambiguously that God created the earth and everything therein and God entrusted it to the care of Mankind, a position which the Church strongly upholds as opposed to the theory of evolution. So, why then is the Church silent and largely indifferent to any abuse and misuse of the earth? What is the Church's responsibility to the earth and the environment in which we dwell? Should the church even bother to be engaged in any discussion about environmental issues? These are questions many Christians grapple with. I discuss some of these questions in this episode and subsequent episodes in this series on the Church and the Environment.

S05E14: God's Laws Governing Nature
Series: The Church and the Environment
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
God has guidelines for how humanity utilizes the earth and its environment. These natural laws are laid out in the written word of God and in nature. When we break those laws there are always dire consequences. I discuss some of the guidelines and what God experts of humanity in this episode.

S05E12: Our Garments
Series: Foundational truths of Christianity
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
In the Parable of the prodigal son, his father gave an order to have his son clothed with the best robes as he received him home. Similarly, God our father offers us various garments when we come home to him. While we receive these garments by grace through faith, it is our responsibility to wear and maintain them. In this episode, I discuss what these garments are and how we should maintain them.

S05E11: The Father's Invitation
Series: Foundational truths of Christianity
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
What we don't know can hurt us, the saying goes. It is not any different in our walk of faith. Knowledge of our position and privileges in Christ is our strength. In this series of episodes on the Foundational truths of the Church, I discuss several topics on the very foundation on which our faith is based: grace, mercy, love, righteousness, as well as our responsibilities in maintaining these privileges we have in Christ. Our faith will be strengthened when we understand these basic concepts. I discuss God's abundant grace towards us in this episode using the model of the invitation to the King's wedding feast.

S05E10: The Good Shepherd
Series: Foundational truths of Christianity
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
We hear a lot about how we ought to be loving God and consequently, loving the work of God. In fact, we hear it so much so that we feel that God only loves us when we are 'performing well' based on men's estimation. However, have we paused to ask 'how much does God also love me? Understanding that God's love is not based on how well we think we are performing, and that nothing can separate us from the love God of can be very liberating and empowering since, all our actions are then in response to His Love. God first loved us when we were unlovable as sinners, how much more will He love us now that we are His children? In this episode, I discuss how God uses the concept of the good shepherd to demonstrate his love for us.

S05E09: Foundational truths of Christianity

We hear a lot of about how we ought to love God and God's work, in fact, so much so that we are made to feel that God only loves us when we 'perform' well by men's estimation. How about we pause and also ask: how much does God also love me? Understanding how God loves us frees us to love God unconditionally, irrespective of how well we seem to be doing as Christians, after all, God first loved us when we had nothing deserving of God's love and our love for God and his work is in response to His love. In this episode I discuss how God loves us as sheep of His pasture.

S05E08: The Wind
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Wind, the movement of air is an enigma. Beyond sustaining all life on the planet, the wind's power and utility is unfathomable. Notably, everything which flies needs air to generate lift, the wind in sails enabled humanity to explore the oceans and travel to distant lands and much more. The wind has also been a divine signature and emblem of the Holy Spirit. What do we learn about the Holy Spirit when we study the wind? In this episode I discuss the wind as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

S05E07: The Fire
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Fire catches attention, whether as a burning bush which is not being consumed, Nebuchadnezzar's furnace or a rocket hurtling into space. We always react to fire either fearfully or with admiration and awe. The benefits of fire to mankind are endless, we have harnessed the power of fire to do mighty things such as the internal combustion engine to make us travel faster and rockets to help us escape the power of gravity, transform materials, as well as mundane things such as cooking food and much more. But the destructive power of fire is also apparent and so we create safeguards to protect lives and property from fire. It is therefore no coincidence that the Godhead, The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit use fire to communicate their intentions, attributes, personality and presence to humanity. So, what does fire teach us about the Holy Spirit when symbolized by fire? I discuss the significance of Fire as an emblem of the Holy Spirit in the Episode.

S05E06: Rain Drops
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The importance of rain to life on earth is undeniable. However, the rain can also have deadly consequences depending on how we relate to it. In the Scriptures, God similarly uses the rain to show his favor and illustrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on His People, but He also uses the rain as an instrument of judgement. So, what does the rain teach us about the Holy Spirit when it is used as an emblem of the Holy Spirit? In this episode I discuss how God uses the element of the rain to show us the invisible attributes of the Holy Spirit.

S05E05: The Rivers
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Rivers have influenced the development of human societies, and still do, such as the Nile, Danube, Thames and many others. They awe us with their power, resilience, and ability to sustain all kinds of life on the planet. It is therefore not a coincidence that Jesus compared the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the flow of rivers of living water. There are several lessons that we can learn from the river systems on the planet which would help us understand a bit more of the attributes and operations of the Holy Spirit. As symbols or emblems of the Holy Spirit, rivers of water do show us the majesty, power and beauty of the Operations of the Holy Spirit in our lives and Ministry. I discuss Rivers as emblems of the Holy Spirit in this episode.

S05E03: The Dew
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The dew is important for the survival of life forms on earth, especially in the arid regions where rainfall is scanty and water is scarce. The dew is so important that when Elijah pronounced a judgement on Israel because of the wickedness of King Ahab and Jezebel, by imposing a drought, he also withheld the dew. Similarly, when David cursed Mount Gilboa where King Saul was slain in battle, he withheld not just the rain but also the dew from falling on the Mountain. There are interesting parallels between the dew and the holy Spirit which allows us to understand the intangible aspects of the personality of the Holy Spirit. I discuss the dew as a symbol or emblem of the Holy Spirit in this episode.

Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit

The Anointing Oil is used widely in the Church, and rightly so because the Church embraces the connection between the Holy Spirit, Anointing, and the Anointing Oil. However, there are strict guidelines governing the Anointing Oil in its first appearance in the Scriptures when God asked Moses to formulate it. These guidelines give us hints of the nature and invisible attributes of the Holy Spirit which we have to be mindful of in our fellowship with the Holy Spirit. I discuss the Anointing Oil as an emblem of the Holy Spirit and what that means to our relationship with the Holy Spirit.

S05E02: The Dove
Series: Emblems of the Holy Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The Holy Spirit is a person. A person, who as the third person in the trinity is responsible for the regeneration of the sinner, leading the believer into the will and purposes of God, and transforming the believer into the image of Christ. While many believers in Christ know about God the Father and God the Son, God the Holy Spirit remains a mystery to many believers. However, knowing the Holy Spirit personally, makes all the difference in our walk with God. The word of God helps us to know the invisible aspects of the personality of the Holy Spirit by the symbols or emblems used to characterize the Holy Spirit. I discuss some of these emblems in the next series of episodes, starting with the Holy Spirit symbolized by a Dove.

S05E01: Lessons from the life of Rebekah
Series:
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
David the psalmist posed a question which echoes down the generations when he wrote, 'If the foundations are destroyed, what shall the righteous do? Foundations support everything standing on them and also define what can be built on them. The church is built on a foundation, which is the knowledge of Jesus Christ as the Son God in the flesh, who came to die for the sins of the world. That foundation cannot be changed. However, we live in a world which is constantly changing, shifting social structures, political and religious landscape, how does the church maintain the integrity of it's foundation? In this episode, I discuss some of the cardinal truths on which the church is built and how we should know about them and protected them.

When God's judgement finally came on Jericho, Rahab knew to say and do all the right things. Her actions saved her life and that of her family. It also earned her a place among the people of Israel and possibly in the genealogy of the Messiah. So, what lessons can we learn from Rahab? what did she do to earn herself a mention among the heroes of faith in the Bible? In this episode, I discuss Rahab as an example of how God uses women in his plan of salvation.

She was a childless young widow with a devastating personal and family story. But Ruth did not let her past be her final destination. She consistently chose to do the right even at great personal cost and God recognized that. What are some of the lessons we can learn from the life of Ruth, a life which endeared her to God?. In this episode, I discuss the life of Ruth and how that can inspire us to move past our adversities and setbacks
S0422: Lessons from the Life of Tamar
Series: The Female In God's Plan
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Judah means praise or praised, but for most part of his adult life, he was anything but praiseworthy. His life was spiraling downwards until he was forced to confront himself when he crossed paths with a Canaanite woman called Tamar. What is it about Tamar that helped Judah turn things around and earn himself leadership of the people of Israel, the blessings of Israel, and ancestry of the messiah? In this episode, I discuss how Tamar gives us an example of how to persevere for what is right against all odds.
S0421: The Role of Women In the Jesus's Ministry
Series: The Female In God's Plan
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The body of Christ is divided over the role of women in the work of ministry, but God has no such problem. Actually, God has had women in His plans before the foundation of the world. Since Jesus is the Lamb slain before the foundation the world, God must have known that the Lamb had to become flesh by being born of a woman, a virgin in Nazareth, called Mary. Also, right after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God made an alliance with Eve against the devil. So, why does the body of Christ struggle with the role of women in the church? In this episode, I discuss how Jesus embraced women in his earthly Ministry as an example of how God views women in His Plans for humanity.
S0420: I am a girl, a woman and in God's plan, not an afterthought
Series: The Female In God's Plan
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Does the world fundamentally misunderstand women? Are women an afterthought of God's plan for mankind? Unfortunately, many cultures and religions seem to think. They don't only believe this and other myths about the female members of human society, they act it out and enforce it under the guise of political, religious or cultural norms. The effect on females has ranged from subtle subjection to out right deadly consequences. How did humanity get to this place of perennial misconceptions and mistrust of women and is the church any different? In this episode I lay the foundation for a series of episodes on the topic: The role of women in God's plan for mankind, by examining what God's original intent was for woman or females in his creation.
S0418: Steps to Contentment

S04E19: The Loving Father
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Rev Derek Amanor
When Jesus told the Parable of the prodigal son, he was introducing his audience to God as a father and the attributes of His Fatherhood, which was part of his mission on earth. Knowing God as a father and experiencing the Fatherhood of God is a tremendous blessing because it brings emotional stability and overall security to our lives, irrespective of our personal experiences with the fatherhood of man, which may not always mirror God's expectations of fatherhood. In this Episode, Rev Derek Amanor joins me to discuss the Parable of the Prodigal son from the perspective of his father and how that illustrates the Fatherhood of God.
S04E16: Relevance of Contentment
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Contentment in life is being satisfied with our present reality while trusting God's goodness towards us, that the turns our lives take will be for the best. This creates internal stability and optimistic outlook on life. The absence of contentment however denies us of the peace of mind available in God, real satisfaction in life, potential for stronger relationships with others, an ability to distinguish between our true needs and wants, and the joy of simplicity in life. In this episode I discuss the importance of contentment in our lives.
S04E15: The Foundation of Contentment
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
For the believer in Christ, contentment in life is a 'be-attitude', it is not a given, it has to be cultivated. Fortunately, our contentment is not rooted in our circumstances, but in the unchanging nature of God. Our trust in God's sovereignty and goodness produces inward peace, joy, and ultimately leads to contentment regardless of our external circumstances. In this episode, I discuss the foundation of contentment in life.
S04E14: Contentment in Life
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
What was it that made Eve believe she would be better off in some mythical existence beyond what God had planned for them in the garden of Eden? did she eventually find what she was searching for?. Eve's desires were beyond the level of her present needs dictated by her circumstances and her supply in God. Jesus used that analogy in the parable of the prodigal son. Unfortunately, the same forces which drive the myth of the 'greener grass' demonstrated by Eve and the prodigal Son, continues to gnaw at us today and the failure to control those impulses is responsible for many of the heart aches, harmful and self-destructive actions in human society. In this episode I discuss contentment in life, our ability to be satisfied with the present while still embracing God's plan for tomorrow without anxiety and worry.
S04E13: God's Solution to Loneliness
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
S04E12: Responding to God's Grace
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
When we encounter the power of God, either individually or as a congregation, it can be an awe-inspiring and transformative experience which may last a lifetime. Actually, God expects that kind of response from us whenever he gives us a privilege to glimpse His majesty and power. What happens if we don't even take notice of it, or when we do, choose to ignore it altogether? In this episode, I discuss how God expects us to respond to those moments He chooses to show us the supernatural aspects of our walk with Him.
S04E11: Generosity: Blessed to be a Blessing
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
When Peter lent Jesus his boat on Lake Genesaret to preach to the multitudes, Jesus responded to Peter's kindness with an act of generosity. After Peter obeyed Jesus's command to launch into the deep and let down his net for a catch, it resulted in a massive haul of fish. However, he faced a choice as often happens to us all, to either keep it all to himself or share the bounty. He chose to share, and there was enough to spare, in fact, there was more than enough for him and his fishing partners. God's blessings and generosity towards us is always more than enough, it always has room to spare because he expects us to be a blessing. In this episode, I discuss the dynamics of generosity and how it is a vital part of our walk with God.
S04E10: The Blessings of Obedience
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Our relationship with God has been variously described as that between a father and child, sheep and shepherd, bride and groom. In each of these descriptions, a vital requirement for reaping the full benefits of our relationship with God is obedience. In this episode I discuss how Peter's obedience to Jesus's instructions led to a bountiful catch of fish and ultimately a change of his destiny
S04E09: The Alabaster Box: Responding to Extravagant Love
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The characters in the Easter story remind us of the role of women in Jesus's ministry and in God's plan of salvation as a whole, beginning with Eve in the garden of Eden. At Easter, it took a woman with an Alabaster Box of very expensive perfume to show us how to respond to God's extravagant Love for humanity, which would be demonstrated in the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made, to pay the price of our Salvation. Her singular act of inexplicable love and devotion a week to the crucifixion of Jesus has memorialized her for eternity. In this episode, I discuss how the woman with the Alabaster box sets an example of how to respond to God's extravagant love for us.
S04E07: Embracing God's Grace
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Do we sometimes fall into the trap of being transactional with God, expecting a certain measure of reward for a measure of service? Have we felt bitter and angry with God because we feel we have not been fairly treated and we deserve more from Him compared with other believers based on our own standard of evaluation and judgement? When this occurs, it usually stems from a sense of entitlement and blindness to the very essence and meaning of God's grace. In this episode I discuss how Jesus used the parable of the Landowner and his laborers to teach us a vital lesson of grace and why we should never try to be transactional with God.
S04E07: Leaves without Figs
Series: The Cursing of the Fig Tree
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Sometimes we wonder why Jesus went looking for Figs on a tree when it wasn't yet the time for Figs. What was it that attracted Jesus to this particular Fig tree and was it right that he ended up cursing the tree when he found nothing but leaves? These are some of the questions I address in this episode. I also discuss the broader implications of this miracle of cursing of the Fig tree to our faith as Christians.
S04E06: Importance of Interpersonal Relationships
Series: THE HUMAN FACTOR IN MINISTRY
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
God considered Abraham a friend, and by the end of Jesus' earthly ministry He called His Disciples Friends, including Judas Iscariot. So, these divine friendships were regardless of the occasional human imperfections. These relationships carried over into the early Church and created an atmosphere of growth and impact of the early Church. Do we value and nurture relationships in our Ministry? In this Episode, I discuss how Jesus managed interpersonal relationships in His Ministry including dealing with conflict, insecurities and the challenges of growing a healthy team to support His Vision and Mission for the Church.
S04E05: The Importance of Structures and Processes
Series: THE HUMAN FACTOR IN MINISTRY
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
God established order in creation through well defined processes and structures, and God maintains that order by His word. He did the same when He set up formal worship for the Jews under the old testament with the Levitical Priesthood. Therefore, it takes more than anointing and spiritual gifts to be successful in Ministry. In fact, we are only as successful as our supporting cast, structures and processes within our Ministry. If Jesus had a structure and he set up processes in His earthly Ministry, we can't assume that we would be successful without it. In this Episode I discuss how Jesus enforced order through well-defined processes as He MInistered and the lessons we can learn from how he went about Ministry to apply to our Ministry.
S04E04: Importance of physical and emotional well-being
Series: THE HUMAN FACTOR IN MINISTRY
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
While here on earth, Jesus worked with a human team. He had to deal with their drama, trauma and generally the weaknesses of just being human. So, how did Jesus navigate the foibles of this motley human team of fishermen and tax collectors including his own family drama? What lessons can we learn from the Public Ministry of Jesus which we can apply to our own journey as servants in God's house? In this episode, I discuss how Jesus approached the physical and emotional well-being of his team.
S04E03: The Exemplary Prayer Ministry of Jesus Christ
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Apostle James Nii-Aponsah
S04E02: The Essence Of Faith In Our Walk With The Lord
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Apostle James Nii-Aponsah
None of us saw Jesus Christ while he was on earth and we have no empirical proof that heaven exists, still we invest a lifetime in our belief system as Christians. So, what drives us as believers in Jesus Christ to continue to have hope of salvation and eternal life? It is faith, the cardinal principle of Christianity. In this episode Apostle James Nii-Aponsah discusses the role and essence of faith in our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
S04E01: The Compassionate Shepherd
Series: Lessons from the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ
Jesus' public ministry teaches vital lessons in how we too can be effective in organizing and ministering to people. Although his ministry was in a different cultural setting and dispensation, he dealt with many of the challenges we face today in ministry including, dealing with people, organizing an effective team, addressing interpersonal conflicts in his team, managing personal relationships with immediate family and financial support, among others. In this episode I address how Jesus organized his ministry and the various lessons we can learn when we understand how he went about the human-related things in ministry. In this Episode I focus on the foundation of ministry, which is compassion towards the people God brings to us.
S03E18: Occupy Until I come Part 2
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Rev. Prof. Spencer Duncan
God has created us human beings for a purpose, so that we might bring Him pleasure in fulfilling His calling upon our lives by employing the services of our body, soul and spirit to their optimum. However, our difficulty is finding our position, office in ministry or specific tasks God wants us to perform, or worst, how to consistently be at our best. In this Episode, Rev Spencer Duncan guides us into the plan of God for our lives and how to find our calling in God, using the theme; Occupy Until I come, a theme of a parable Jesus used to teach God's purpose and expectation for His Children.
S03E18: Occupy Till I come Part 1
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Rev. Prof. Spencer Duncan
S03E17: How Victory moves through the gates
Series: What Lies at the Gate
When the disciples prayed for Peter's deliverance from death at the hands of King Herod, God answered their prayer. But when Peter came home to them, they left him standing behind the gate while they debated in unbelief whether it was really him or his ghost. Similarly, when the Prophet Elisha prophesied an end to the famine in Samaria as a result of the siege of the city, the lepers who sat at the gate brough deliverance out of courage and faith, but the Kings Steward who doubted Elisha's pronouncement died at the gate out of unbelief. Sometimes the answers to our prayers have either been left at the gates or died at the gates out of unbelief. In this Episode, I discuss how we can allow our victories to move through the gates, by exercising expectation and faith
S03E16: The Voice of Mercy
Series: What Lies at the Gate
When the Angels got to Sodom and Gomorrah, they met Lot sitting at the gate of the city. That righteousness man has been tormented and exhausted by the evil of the people in the land. Similarly, Uriah the husband of Bathsheba slept for days at the gate of the Kings palace, not taking the bait that David laid for him, out of righteous intentions. For both King David and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, what did they see in Lot or Uriah? Some of the things lying at our Gate, may represent the voice of God appealing to us to come into His mercy and kindness. In this Episode, I discuss how God uses our life circumstances to communicate His love, mercy and kindness to us and we need to pay attention.
S03E15: The Voice of Mercy
Series: Christmas and New Year Series
As we look forward to a New Year, top of our prayer lists for the New Year would be things which we want God to do for us. As important as that is, we need to remind ourselves that our eventual evaluation by the Judge of all the earth would be based on what we did or didn't do for God. Therefore, we need to revise our wish list to include what we would also do for God this New Year. In this Episode, I discuss three things which we can do for God this year and which should be on everyone's prayer list as we welcome the New Year.
S03E14: While the World Waits
Series: Holiday Series
We might never know why Jesus Christ, the promised messiah came when he did, but the Apostle Paul described the timing as 'the fullness of time'. So, why did God wait to send Jesus at that particular time in human history? Christmas and the advent of Jesus is therefore an exercise in waiting for all the characters in the Christmas story and indeed for all humanity. During Christmas, children learn to wait to open their presents at the right time, as do families also, having to wait to eat the Christmas meal at the right time. What is the value of waiting? In this Episode, I discuss how the characters in the Christmas story had to wait for the promises and how Christmas therefore teaches the vital lesson of waiting which is invaluable in our walk with God.
S03E13: The Cost of Indifference
Series: What Lies at the Gate
When Eli the Priest heard about the demise of his sons and the loss of the Ark to the Philistines, he fell from his chair, broke his neck, and died at the gate of Shiloh. His epitaph, if written by God, probably would read, 'here lies the man who was indifferent, apathetic to the things which lie at his door and honoured his sons more than Me'. On the contrary, when the Philistines set an ambush for Samson at the gate of Gaza, intending to kill him in the morning, Samson arose at midnight and took away the gate and its pillars to a hill top. Indifference to the things which lie at our gate could shape our destiny, our fights of faith and ultimately our walk with God. In this episode I discuss the cost of indifference to the things which lie at our gate.
S03E12 The Power of Choice
Series: What Lies at the Gate
When Peter and John made a decision to not ignore the lame beggar lying at the Beautiful gate as they went into the Temple to Pray, their interaction with him resulted in the first miracle performed by the early church, over 5000 souls were won, and they received an extraordinary manifestation of divine endorsement when they gathered the rest of the disciples to pray. On the contrary, when God warned Cain about sin lying at his door and he having the power to overcome it, his choice in response to God's warning sealed his destiny. It resulted in the first murder and he became an accursed fugitive. The things lying at our door may elevate us or degrade our relationship with God and they may shape our eternal destiny. In this episode, I discuss how the choices we make in handling the issues which lie at our gate may affects us.
S03E11: Addressing our Priorities
Series: What Lies at the Gate
When Jesus told the story of Lazarus, a diseased and hungry man lying at the gate of the rich man, the unspoken part of that story was why Lazarus ended up in heaven, and it wasn't because he was poor and neither did the the rich man end up in hell because he was rich. Their eventual destiny might have been more as a result of what they did or didn't do in their lifetime. The constant presence of Lazarus at his gate gave the rich man opportunity to influence his own destiny, but he failed. We all have things lying at our gate, things that only we can address and we have the resources to do so. In this series of episodes dealing with things lying at our gates, I discuss the relevance of addressing our priorities and the things which we should not ignore because they may affect our eternal destiny or that of others.
S03E10: The Real value of a Soul
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
We know that a Soul is precious to God. But how precious? we can only imagine. However, based on the parables taught by Jesus, such as a shepherd leaving the 99 sheep in search of the one lost sheep, or a merchant selling everything he owns to buy one precious pearl, we can infer that a Soul must be the single most valuable item on the shelves in God's treasure Store. In this Episode, I discuss the true value of a Soul based on how much it cost God to make it and also buy it back.
S03E09: God's Value System
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
When Jesus interacted with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, the divergence of their value systems quickly became apparent. There are several lessons we could learn from their conversation which would inform us about God's value system, His priorities and definitions. When we are willing and armed with the right kind of information, we too can create and live by a value system which aligns with God's such as Jesus was impressing on the Samaritan woman. In this second episode of my discussion of God's value system, I discuss some of the major points in that conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman which outlines God's value system.

How then do we lay up treasures in heaven even as we live? In this Episode, Rev Dr James Commey, discusses how we can both prosper on earth and also create wealth in heaven.
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta

S03E05: Fellowship of The Spirit
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta

All believers have been left in the care of the Holy Spirit, a Person who being part of the Godhead, yet comes to our side with strength and leads us to maturity as Sons of God. But how is our relationship with the Holy Spirit? how sensitive are we to His leading and Lordship? How much room do we allow the Holy Spirit to operate in the Church over which Jesus is Lord? In this Episode, our guest, Rev Thelma Odonkor explains what fellowship or communion with the Holy Spirit is all about, and how we can grow that relationship and benefit from all that the Holy Spirit was sent to accomplish within and among the believers in Jesus Christ.
S03E04: How God values things
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta.
If we are to appreciate what really matters to God, and be able to create value by the things we do in God's House, we need to understand God's valuation system, the criteria God uses to assign value to things. In this episode I discuss some of the parameters of God's valuation system based on the conversation Jesus had with the Samaritan woman at the well in Samaria. This episode is part of ongoing series of episodes on the theme, Treasures of the Kingdom: God's perspective of our faith.
S03E03: What Really Matters to God - Part 1
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta.
When we understand and agree with God's priorities, objectives and definitions, we would be able to spend our effort on activities which create value for time and eternity, because it is only God who defines what is valuable. Moreover, our walk with God would be harmonious since, two cannot walk together unless they agree. In this episode I discuss God's priorities which include his glory, will, and his position as the Father and how we need to humble ourselves to embrace these priorities. Since God is perfect and cannot change, whenever there is a conflict in our walk with God, it is humanity which needs to change and embrace God's will and purposes. We should not make our walk with God about us, it should be about God.
S03E02: Stewardship & Accountability of God's Blessings
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta.
After Jesus fed the five thousand and four thousand, he asked the disciples to collect the fragments or what is left over after the people have had their fill so that nothing is wasted or lost. The question is, why bother to mitigate waste in the midst of abundance? This instruction to the disciples is a reflection of God's attitude and mindset towards wasting his blessings, both on a personal and congregation level. In this episode, I discuss what the bible teaches about good stewardship and accountability from God's perspective.

S02E46: Origin of the Tithe
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
God has a plan for the financial success or prosperity of His Children. This plan is part of our Salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross. However, as with the promises of God, there are conditions associated with God's plan for financial prosperity or success and we need to understand and fulfill the conditions to access it. Giving, including tithing is part of the mechanisms God has put in place to establish financial prosperity for His children. In these series of episodes, I discuss the Tithe, its origin, application and transition from Abraham, the Mosaic Law, and to the church dispensation as well as its role in God's plan for financial success.
S02E45: The Man behind the Words: Reflection on Psalm 23
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
The Bible occasionally provides the circumstances under which David wrote some of his Psalms. The Psalm would therefore reflect his state of mind, motivation and desire as he approaches God in either praise, prayer or worship during those circumstances. When we understand the circumstances under which he wrote, the words of the Psalm become more meaningful. In these series of Episodes, I relate the Psalms to the events in David's life and the relevance of each Psalm to our own journey of faith.

Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta

Description:
It takes humility to walk with God, because our walk with God is a journey of discovery and learning. King David walked with God and left a good legacy because he had a heart which was teachable. Hw wasn't perfect, but he was willing to allow God to teach him the right way. He wrote a lot about this desire for God to teach him His ways in the Psalms. In this Episode, I discuss an example of King David demonstrating his desire and ability to learn from a mistake he made as he tries to do the right thing for God. He sets us a good example to copy in our walk with God.

When Joab David's army commander killed Abner, the commander of the army of Israel under Saul in cold blood, Abner's effort to unify Israel under David as King after Saul's death, also died that day and with it, David's hope of finally completing his transformation from a shepherd boy to the King of Israel as promised by God. That setback would be many in David's life throughout that journey from promise to realization. Experiencing setbacks may be familiar to all of us, but how we handle them may differ and so will be the outcomes. In this Episode Rev Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh discusses with the host how David handled setbacks in his life and the lessons we can learn from David's experience in successfully handling setbacks in life.

S02E33: A heart hungry for God
Host: Rev. Dr. Charles Zuta
Guest: Elder. Bethel Donkor
If you had the opportunity to chat with King David, what would you ask him? what would you want to know from him? David has so much to teach us about how to walk with God, how to fail, fall and rise up again, how to be rejected and still prevail and above all how to sincerely love God. Above all else, the primary observation about David is that he had a heart which was hungry for God and God reciprocated that attitude by walking closely with David and eventually describing David as a man after His own heart.
In these series of Episodes on the life of King David, the host and all the guests will attempt to determine the principles which made David stand out among all the people God used to illustrate his relationship with humanity.

God doesn't only give us a song in the night to give us hope, courage and strength to win our battles in our moments of adversity, in fact, he also brings light into our darkness of disappointments, uncertainty, worry, and anxiety. Those moments of deep disappoints are indeed our appointments with God, as he uses those moments to help us learn more about him, see his power and test our faith and do us good eventually. The question is, how do we deal with disappointments so we can benefit from them? As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we continue our journey of faith in God through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.

S02E19: The wilderness Experience: Lessons from the wilderness
Host: Charles Zuta
Guest: Rev. Prof. Spencer Duncan
When God led Israel out of slavery in Egypt to the promised land of Canaan, God chose a route through the wilderness of the Sinai desert, not cities and population centers as he led them to their promised destination. There may be several reasons God chose to lead Israel through the tough wilderness, but ultimately, the desert was a proving ground for Israel. The challenges of living 40 years in the desert was to refine, and transform them to a People who God could relate to, guide and continue to be called as His own people. The desert experience can be both traumatic and rewarding if we learn from the trials and lesson we are exposed to since God is always present with us, as he did Israel. In this Episode, Prof Spencer Duncan discuss how God used the desert experience to refine us on our journey to the promised land of eternal life and continual fellowship and relationship with Him. Title: The God of time and seasons
Introduction:
It is normal to have mixed emotions as we welcome a new year. Hope and apprehension are normal emotions this time of the year as we look ahead not knowing what awaits us in the coming months of this and every new year. However, we need to remind ourselves, that God above all else, controls our times and seasons. That should bring some comfort and peace to our lives. In this Episode, I discuss how God, both gives us and manages our times and seasons and how that should bring peace to our lives. As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we continue our journey of faith in God through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord.
Title: The Word became flesh
Introduction:
The Christmas story begins with two announcements by God through the Angel Gabriel to two related families. Both Mary a young virgin engaged to marry and Zacharias a Priest received the same message of a promise of a child under near impossible circumstances. Although both responded the same way, their heart attitudes were different. Zacharias responded in doubt and God made him mute until the promise was fulfilled but Mary responded in humility and acceptance of God's will and purpose and thus translated the promise of God into reality. These two people give us an example of how to not let our circumstances limit our ability to receive from God. In this Episode, I discuss how Mary and Zacharias offer us lessons on how to react to the promises of God under difficult circumstances. As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we continue our journey of faith in God through Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord.
Title: Confidence in God
Introduction:
The Gospel message is eternal and unchanging, but our circumstances do change, because we are living in a world system which is constantly changing and is increasingly anti-Christ. We need confidence in God through life's twists and turns and God is willing to offer us reasons to keep hoping in and believing him if we ask Him. In this episode, I discuss how God provided a basis for hope to Abraham in hopeless situations. As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we go through the difficult times in our journey of Faith in God through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Season Theme: The blessings in the night song.
Introduction:
What is the purpose of the Night Song God gives to us in our times of adversity? How do we use that song to wage our battles? In this episode, I discuss how God gave songs to Paul and Silas, Jonah, King Jehoshaphat, and others to change their circumstances. I discuss how the night song given to us by the Holy Spirit helps the believer experience God as He comes into those difficult moments of our lives and guides us and how we can better experience God even at the darkest moments of our lives. As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we go through difficult times in our walk of Faith in God, through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Title: Our Song in the Night.
Introduction:
It is easy to sing in the 'day time' when everything is going the right way and we can see our way clearly, but not so much in the 'night time' when we can't see far nor what is in the shadows. It is at these moments that God comes our way with a night song. God indeed gives us a song in the 'night time' of our lives to lift us up and gives us strength and hope to fight for victory. In this episode, I discuss how God gives us a song in the 'nights' of our lives and how that song should be our anthem for our fight for victory in the difficult 'night' times. As usual, we will turn to the scriptures for insight and find answers to the questions on our minds as we go through our walk of faith in God through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Title: Staying relevant in a changing difficult world.
Introduction:
The Gospel message which we demonstrate by our lives and share with others is not a time-bound truth, it existed before the world system and its relevance is eternal. However, because we are living in a world system which is constantly changing and is increasingly anti-Christ, we face the challenge of demonstrating this truth of God’s word in the face of all the hostility and nuisances of a fallen and evil world. Since ‘we are in this world but not of It’, our lives always run counter-current to the world system and, which creates challenges for us. Our challenge therefore is staying relevant in a world system opposed to and seeks to eliminate every form of Christian value and principle. Additionally, our Christian walk entails constant purging and pruning by the Holy Spirit to help us grow and bear more fruit. These experiences can at times be painful but rewarding. In these series of episodes, the Host and guest presenters will help the believer understand the relevance of the refining experience, make sense of adversity, those moments when we experience our own ‘Gethsemane’ or are in the wilderness as we work towards our promised land. As usual, we will turn to scriptures for insight and find answers to these and other questions we may have.

However, because we live in a world system which is constantly changing and is increasingly anti-Christ, we will always face challenging circumstances both in our personal lives and in demonstrating God's word to the world. Our lives will always run counter-current to the world's expectations. The challenge therefore is, how do we stay relevant in a world system opposed to God and seeking to eliminate every form of Christian value and virtue? As part of Christian maturity and growth, we experience pruning and refinement from God. These experiences taken together can at times make our walk with God a painful experience.
In these series of Episodes, the Host Charles Zuta and Guest, Rev Prof Spencer Duncan, will help the believer understand the relevance of going through the fire of adversities, what to make of those experiences and how to endure and overcome.

S02E05: What brings about the Blessings of God
Host: Charles Zuta
Guest: Rev. Dr. Samuel Sakyi-Hyde
Title: God’s Plan and Purpose for Success.
Introduction:
The Apostle John wrote in his third epistle, 3 John 2 that he wishes his friend will ‘prosper’ and be in health as his soul is prospering. Since the biblical definition of ‘prospering’ includes being successful. I am therefore using success in this context, as synonymous to prosperity. Unfortunately, the teaching of prosperity in the church stirs up so much controversy, to the point of it being labelled as promoting greed and excess, sometimes rightly so. The discussion of the topic of prosperity in church therefore raises several questions including: How do we define prosperity? is prosperity really bad, does God endorse and want us to prosper? As usual, we will turn to scriptures for answers to these and many other questions we may have. Fortunately, The bible is very clear about God’s plan and purpose and boundaries of our relationship with prosperity. In these series of Episodes, I am joined by guests to discuss various topics relating to how God views prosperity, wealth, and riches and how we can relate to them the way God envisaged.
S02E04: God's Template for success
Host: Charles Zuta
Guest: Dr Douglas Dickson
Dr Douglas Dickson discusses wealth, riches, and prosperity from a biblical perspective and how we can relate to them as required by God.

In these series of Episodes, I am joined by guests to discuss various topics relating to how God views prosperity, wealth, and riches and how we can relate to them the way God envisaged.

Title: Season 1 Summary
Host: Charles Zuta
Season Title: The Cross- God’s eternal message of love.
Introduction:
The Cross is a universally recognized symbol of Christianity and serves as a reminder of the pain, suffering and ultimate sacrifice which Jesus Christ made to atone for the sins of the world and bring salvation to humanity. In fact, on the Cross, God was punishing Himself in Jesus Christ to meet the demands of divine Justice for the penalty of death God imposed on Adam and Eve and their descendants. The Cross, therefore, is not only a place of shame, rejection, suffering, and death, but it is also where God demonstrated His love for humanity. While we may never fully comprehend the mystery of God’s love for humanity which drove Him to endure the death of the Cross, we by accepting it, and trading places with Him, position ourselves to benefit from that sacrifice. In the episodes in this Series, I will discuss what Jesus’s death on the Cross accomplished for humanity and how we may effectively benefit from it.

Part 12. Purpose of Hope
Host: Charles Zuta
Episode Description: In this episode, I discuss how hope works to protect our minds against worry and anxiety.
Title: Escaping the anxiety trap: How to worry less and care more
Introduction:
Worrying may be a natural reaction to several situations in life which make us afraid, discouraged, insecure, uncertain, and generally as a response to being in circumstances which we think we have no control over. Worrying may therefore appear to be an innocuous emotional exercise, but when out of control, it could lead to emotional and physical dysfunction including anxiety and possibly many medical conditions. Worry and anxiety are therefore harmful to our physical and emotional well-being. The bible is emphatic about God’s opposition to worrying and anxiety and provides us with assurances of God’s provisions for security in several areas of our lives. Those provisions guarantee our emotional and mental well-being by ensuring we have the means to address our reasons for worry, fear, and anxiety. In this series, I discuss the causes of worry and how to prevent progression of worry to anxiety based on the Bible. I also discuss how to obtain liberty from anxiety based on God’s provisions for us in the Bible.
Part 11. Basis of Hope
Host: Charles Zuta
Episode Description: In this episode, I discuss how when we make God our foundation, He gives us hope for our lives, which protects our mind against worry and anxiety.

Episode Description: In this episode, I discuss the ultimate provisions of God for our lives when we learn to trust him, give up control and our independence.
The bible is emphatic about God’s opposition to worrying and anxiety, and provides us with assurances of God’s provisions for security in several areas of our lives. Those provisions guarantee our emotional and mental well-being by ensuring we have the means to address our reasons for worry, fear and anxiety. In this series, I discuss the causes of worry and how to prevent progression of worry to anxiety based on the Bible. I also discuss how to obtain liberty from anxiety based on God’s provisions for us in the Bible.

Part 11: How God dealt with the source of our guilt
Host: Charles Zuta
In order to break the yoke of guilt arising from the memory of our sins, and its attendant impact on our lives, we need to know how God has dealt with the sins we have confessed and forsaken. In this episode, I outline all the ways God has dealt with our sins. This knowledge helps us reprocess the memory of our sins and build alternate narrative to what our memory and emotions are relaying to us, and what the devil uses to accuse us. Knowing how God deals with our sins after we have confessed and received forgiveness, elevates us to the place of continuous victory over guilt and condemnation.

Although this encounter was an emotionally difficult one for me, it provides a clue to how to find redemption if self-harm is the only option we have chosen in response to memory of traumatic events in our lives.
Part 6: The effect of emotions on our lives – Positive Emotions
Host: Charles Zuta
There are positive actions associated with positive emotions and often these actions stem from remembrance of positive events in our lives. In this episode I discuss how God also uses remembrance and memory. However, unlike us, when God remembers individuals or groups of people, it is always associated with an intervention. I also highlight how God expects us to leverage memory and remembrance of his acts to elevate our faith and quality of our spiritual lives.
