Encourage Now Podcast teaches the Gospel to encourage us and help us to apply the Word to our lives.
It's important today to realize that Jesus always spoke in relevant terms to His audience. For fishermen, he talked about catching men. To farmers he talked about planting seeds and how they perish or grow depending on the soil as accepting the Word of God. So as we look at Jesus introducing Himself with the term I AM, also see how the parables and lessons relates to the things that are happening at that time so the people had a point of reference.
We dive into the crucifixion of Jesus and what that means to those who accept Him as Savior and Lord.
All that we need, all that we have, all that we are is complete in Jesus. When we are down and depressed, it's because we are not focusing on our Savior, Jesus the Christ, the Anointed One. When we are financially struggling it's because we are not honoring Him in our giving. So it's important to learn about who Jesus is.
We live in a time and place that can fill our hearts and mind with despair, but we can't give up hope. We must find the courage to hold on to our God and know that His mercy endureth forever. Many things are not in our control, but even in a world of chaos, we can trust in God's love, mercy and grace. Today we will take a look at God's mercy....that never fails, it is new every day and endures forever.
These are busy times and we are always doing something. So much so, that we don't allow ourselves to rest. Slow down, breathe, smell the coffee, enjoy the roses, take a beat... get enough sleep. You can't be of good service to anyone else if you wear yourself down....So today, I want to say Rest. It is a gift of God.
Relationships are very important. One thing the pandemic has shown is that we need occasional contact with other people. We actually crave human touch. Our mental health has taken a serious hit when we can't see or be with our loved ones.
Our Lord desires to have a close spiritual relationship with us even from the beginning when He created man. And there is a spiritual part of man that is only whole when we have that relationship with God.
This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. I will give Him the glory for all that He is and that He has done. I look to my God for guidance and directions. Sometimes He speaks through His Word and sometimes He speaks through life experiences.
I can't change the past, but I can learn from it and press on. Press on and give it my best effort
It's time to get up, wash your face, shake off the cobwebs, get to work.
God has much in store for us. Get ready to receive. Be prepared for the open doors and windows. We don't know where the blessings are coming from or how He will do it.... so....
Don't slow down, don't quit, don't give up. Hang on in there.
Jesus is definitely the Friend that will stand by us and never leave us. We can call on Him anytime and anywhere. He is everywhere at all times...and sitting on the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us. So looking at the words of the hymn, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, and why the words are so precious.... The scripture backs them up.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
We can't tell it all, but we can let somebody know that God is Good and His mercy is everlasting. Some times we face challenges, but we should continue to praise Him...because He's worthy....because He is always Good.
He sent His Son to save us and now we praise Him.
It's personal and it's corporate...He's been good .... yeah.. He's been good.
FOR JAN 1, 2022, LET US RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE ALREADY BLESSED AND THINK OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO BEGIN YOUR DAY WITH PRAISE... YOU'LL BE SURPRISED HOW THE DAY WILL GO, WHEN YOU PUT THE LORD FIRST AND GLORIFY HIM FOR ALL HE IS AND FOR ALL HE'S DONE ALREADY.
I CHALLENGE YOU TO REFOCUS YOUR THOUGHTS, AMBITIONS AND DESIRES TO ALIGN WITH THE CALL OF GOD ON YOUR LIFE.
It's Christmas time and so many people are out shopping for that perfect gift. So let us take a break and remember the real reason for the season. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.
Thanksgiving holiday was last Thursday. Everyone was considering all they had to be thankful for especially being able to get together with family this year. The pandemic kept us apart last year, so it was so good to get all of us back together again. It is good to have a season or occasion to remember to give thanks....but we should remember to Thank God every day and for all things.
By yielding to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him access and control over our emotions, feeling, thoughts and therefore actions, He then works though us and the light that shines, the life that is visible, is the Fruit of the Spirit.
When anxiety and worry knocks at our doors, we have to remind ourselves of the goodness of the Lord and how He has always taken care of us, even in the storms, even when things don't go the way we thought or wanted.
Today our focus is on the Joy of the Lord.
How do we handle things when the answer to prayer is "Not Yet"? We have to Wait. This is when we really have to Trust God another way, with Faith, Patience and Hope.
When you pray, Have confidence -- you are his child and he wants to hear from you and bless you...
When we pray, we are usually thinking about ourselves, family, friends and personal concerns. Today we are reminded to pray for others and to allow the Holy Spirit to help us pray when we don't know what to say.
Take our needs and concerns to the Lord in Prayer, then praise him for answered prayer. Believe, Trust and have Faith. Give God the Glory.
When we are overwhelmed and wondering which way to go...Pray. Simple. No special words. Talk to our God.
Trust in God's provision and deliverance. Live better by forgiving others. Glorify God for ALL HE IS.
Being in a relationship calls for communication. Being in the presence of our Lord is a privilege and honor. We honor our Father God as we stay connected to Him and to His will for us.
Do you feel lost or alone? Do you know that our God is waiting for you to Talk to Him about all that you need or feel? Let's take it to God in Prayer.
Go after God. Seek His face. Get to know Him for yourself. Be filled with his love, mercy and grace. Open your heart to receive Him fully and Worship him.
