http://harrypodderpodcast.blogspot.com | 13 December 2005 - Back from the dead but not nearly as icky as inferati, the Harry Podder Players bring you more Wizard News and a touch of drama. Hopefully today's chapter was worth the wait. Be sure to let us know what you think!

Today's chapter is just Wizard News. We had THAT much of it. We had many field reporters send in their own segments, too. So cool! Thanks, guys! Chapter 12 will be here soon with the Muggle news and the letters section - still featuring our very impressive letter guy, Mr. Bart Fargo! BTW, we are so happy Mr. Fargo finally got a girlfriend. She's apparently a really big fan of his letter readings. Teria gets all weak in the knees when she hears him, too! (I do not!)

Chapter 13 will be out at the end of Christmas break featuring the ever popular but annoying (Hey!) Teria. Spread the word! Let people know about our podcast. And Happy Christmas!

Unbelievable! We actually recorded a new chapter. Chapter Eleven, part one, is almost ready to post. Just a few post-op tweeks and it'll be up before Monday evening. I bet you thought we'd forgotten about you? Actually, Terra forgot how to use our muggle equipment. She tried over and over again to pull out some weird floating green quill and wondered how to plug it into the iBook. Silly witch.

While Terra was recuperating, I couldn't help myself and kept twiddling with the script, so it's 93 pages long now and square bound. Terra says it's too big so I've broken the next chapter up into three parts to be finished from now to the end of Christmas vacation. Be sure to spread the word on online forums and at school. Thanks!

Thank you one and all for your kind emails. Terra's infection took longer to shake off than we had hoped. There were a few relapses, especially because she kept pushing herself. Worst of all, she fell behind in school so she's been swamped. Making her go on air for our show seemed needlessly cruel.

I had considered going solo on the show. You have no idea how many fans I have. People demand more Perth! (It's very tiring to be me.) But Teria felt I was delusional. Terra concurred. I don't know what's up with those two. They don't seem to appreciate me very much. Unfortunately, Teria has jinxed the mics so I can't record anything on them. Well, that's not entirely true. Everytime I try to record the show by myself I end up wearing a viking helmet, singing opera, and looking like Elmer Fudd. What a weird jinx. I threatened to release my operatic podcast just to spite them, but I don't like being three feet tall so I'll just wait until Terra is on top of her work again.

I suppose I will just rewrite the script seeing how it's 8 weeks old. That should keep me busy. And read my fanmail. There's so much of it I can't keep up. Maybe I'll finish by Friday. I hear Terra doesn't have school this Friday and might be able to record. Here's hoping she has the strength for it.

Terra has been in school every day this week. She's still not up to her original energy levels, but things are looking great for this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed. Thanks for all your encouragement and submissions.

Just a quick update. Terra has relapsed and is out of school again. She feels terrible letting you folks down, but I've told her not to worry. So many people have remained subscribed - nearly 800. I told her they all have faith that she'll recover. Some of you have even sent in well-wishes. Thank you for your kindness. Keep them coming!

The kidney infection has hit her hard - she mostly just sleeps all day as her body fights it off. Maybe by this weekend the anti-biotics will do their stuff and let her start recording again. Thanks for your patience.

We had some people think that when we announced Terra was sick with a kidney infection we were just kidding! I suppose it might be easy to assume that. We tried to stay in character and called her illness the Magical Mumps and Floo Powder Flu. But the sickness is real and as you folks know we haven't missed a week since July until now. This kidney infection has hit Terra hard.

Terra returned to school three days ago. She's a good trooper, but the effort tuckered her out fiercely. She would come home from school, take a two-three hour nap, wake up to eat, do her homework, then go back to bed. She insisted on attending dance class on Thursday but it wiped her out cold. She's taking it easy this weekend and maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to start recording on Monday that podcast we had scripted three weeks ago.

We sure do appreciate all of you folks staying subscribed. We love entertaining you and miss putting out the show. Some have wondered why we just didn't do a show with Perth and Teria, but the truth is that Teria has her own podcast already! Harry Podder was Terra's baby. So it wouldn't be right to do it without her. Now she's terribly behind in school so we're worried about the fate of our little show.

Terra still needs your wellwishes. Please send them along to HarryPodder@gmail.com.

Oh, and Terra wanted me to ask you if any of you had figured out the secret of our names. I'll print them out for you here.

Terra has begun to return to her normal self today. She's able to walk around a bit and the coloring has returned to her face. She's even been zinging Perth again - always a good sign of recovery. I wouldn't say she's ready to record yet, but tomorrow is looking hopeful. Wish her well. Drop her an email if you can.

Love ya, dahlings!

Terra's been mostly bedridden for several days now. She spent the evening at the local children's hospital. The Floo Powder Floo was a small misdiagnosis. This was a muggle ailment - a virus turned into a tract infection on its way to the kidneys. It's been brewing for the past two weeks off and on. Fortunately, we caught it before it hit the kidneys. Wish her luck and thanks for your patience.

We received an email last week from a very earnest listener who hoped we wouldn't spill any beans about Book 6 or else he'd have to unsubscribe. We thought that everyone would know that Perth was just joking, but maybe that listener wasn't the only one with that fear. Please spread the word that we won't be spilling any beans for some time. Perth's mother hasn't finished reading Book 6 either and she'd never forgive him if he spoiled her fun. He won't spoil yours either. Or I'll give him a jiggly lips curse and make everything he says sound much funnier than it really is. :)
