The Battle of Jolo, also known as the Burning of Jolo or the Siege of Jolo, occurred in February 1974 in the southern Philippines. It was a significant clash between the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the Philippine government, marking a key event in the early stages of the Moro insurgency and sparking resistance against martial law imposed by Former President Ferdinand Marcos.
