One of the biggest issues I see people face when it comes to their wellness goals, business goals, social media, healthy habits, etc is lack of consistency. In this episode I dive into tips that have helped me to be consistent/build consistency in different areas of my life that you can use too!

Consistency has a lot to do with MINDSET & COMMITMENT! Ask yourself these questions:

Determine your commitment level:

  • Do you want this bad enough?
  • Are you making the time for it?
  • Why is it important to you?

Remove roadblocks :

  • What factors are stopping you from being consistent?
  • How can you address those/make changes?

Start with small goals:

  • This will help you achieve quick wins and build momentum.
  • Drop the all or nothing mindset!

Being consistent is following through with the commitment you’ve made to yourself. Consistency builds trust with clients, audience, family and YOURSELF!

Don't forget to share on your stories and/or with other's who will find this episode helpful!

It’s impossible to be happy and ungrateful at the same time! Think about that for a second. If you’re practicing gratitude daily you are finding joy daily. Just having another day of life on earth is a freakin GIFT! So how can you practice gratitude more often?

  • Start or end your day with gratitude - Keep a gratitude journal.
  • Text, call, mail a card to someone in your life that you’re grateful for and let them know you appreciate them.
  • Visual reminders - Post quotes and images around your house to remind you of what you can be grateful for.
  • Prayers of thanksgiving - if you pray daily don’t just pray for blessing and for help through challenges but also thank God for the blessings you already have right now.
  • What did past challenges teach you/give you? Look back through old journals, photo albums, social media posts of hard times in your life and make notes about what helped you get through them and what lessons you learned. Use that information to help you find the silver linings in current troubles.
  • Bonus - Try gratitude meditations, gratitude yoga workouts

  • The biggest mistake Network Marketers make

QUOTABLE MOMENTS:

“Got to, didn’t have to, got to decide to be proactive instead of reactive. Sometimes we have to be backed into a corner to realize we have skills and gifts that we sit on.”

“Not everyone is going to agree with what you’re doing and there is more than one way to do something.”

“One of the best ways to stand out is to take something you’ve learned and create your own method.”

“Social media metrics don’t equate to what actually matters in business. Do you just want numbers of people looking at you or do you want to make money? Because until you get clear about that, your actions will not likely support what you want.”

"Ask your followers “what is their takeaway from this post?” Did the post inspire them to take the action you wanted them to take?"

“Sacrificing short term money grabs for long term legacy.”

“As a mom you can have all the things just not necessarily at the same time.”

Amanda Walsh is a mother, wife, and creative entrepreneur who owns The Launch Hive, a custom brand & website design studio for the bold and badass. From starting a side hustle that didn't work out, to being a full time solopreneur, she is going to share branding and social media tips with us to help you along your business journey.

In This Episode:

  • Tips on how to build a brand if you are just starting out
  • How to stand out in a saturated market
  • The difference between branding + brand identity and why you need both

Episode Notes:

If you’re just starting to create your brand:

Choosing your brand: colors/color palette, fonts, style for brand recognition

Free training on branding visuals: https://view.flodesk.com/pages/60257042fa7051428a396fac

BRANDING vs. BRAND IDENTITY

Brand Identity: The way your brand looks - the visual aspect.

Branding: The foundational pieces that make your brand - your mission, values, beliefs, your why. Deeper rooted questions.

What to refine before creating your brand identity:

Who is your ideal client/who do you want to help, how you can help them/how they are feeling?

"HUMANIZE your brand."

Unfollow or mute accounts on social media that you’re comparing yourself to. Stop following so many people in your industry. They are NOT your ideal client.

How to stand out in a saturated market:

  • Be real, show up as a your authentic self on social media
  • What is your unique value proposition?
  • What is something your ideal client needs that you can offer?

“You all don’t have the ideal client, although you may do the same thing you aren’t helping the same people.”

Keep the ideal client in mind when you are creating content, messaging, how you are showing up on social.

Market research - ask your audience and clients more questions! Use polls, question box, quiz box on IG stories.

“You can have a board WHO (who you help) as long as you have a specific WHAT (what you help them with)”

I’m not gonna sugar coat it, being rejected sucks. It makes you question yourself and feel like a failure. It hurts and it stings. It makes you feel down & out and causes your head to spin with negative self talk.

Instead of wallowing in the negativity for days try moving forward with positivity. But like how do you do that when you’re feeling rejected?! This is what’s worked for me:

  1. Let yourself feel the emotions for a little bit - sadness, hurt, disappointment.

  2. Talk to those around you who are positive & supportive about how you’re feeling - they will reenforce positivity and help you see the silver lining.

  3. Learn and acknowledge that Rejection is just REDIRECTION - everything happens for a reason. Opportunities will pass you by in order to make room for something bigger & better. God has a plan!

  4. Move forward with positivity and focus your energy on something new - Don’t dwell on the rejection. Instead plan a new project or find a new opportunity to focus on and get excited about!

Rachelle Welling is a Photographer & Business Mentor who quit her 9-5 career when her son was only 10 months old to start her own photography business. She not only takes stunning photographs but also helps others find the same success that she did by teaching them photography and business skills! What sets her apart from other photographers in the industry is how she shows up authentically on social media to grow her brand.

In this Episode:

  • Scarcity vs. Abundant Mindset
  • Actionable steps to take to start your own business
  • Daily habits to get you on your A game
  • How to use social media to grow your brand & business
  • Learning how to pivot when faced with an unexpected challenge

Quotable Moments:

"Scarcity says you’re a victim, but abundance says you’re in the driver’s seat!"

“When I was at my desk job, I sat down and quieted my mind, and I envisioned what my ideal life would look like. I would steal 5 minutes in an empty conference room and meditate on it.”

“I have learned more as a business owner than I have ever at previous jobs. Owning and operating your own small business/side hustle is literally like getting your real life MBA.”

“Start getting comfortable, getting uncomfortable, and getting used to failure. Analysis by paralysis is real!”

“You can choose to be victim of your circumstances or you can take responsibility for how you choose to perceive them.”

Episode Notes:

Actionable steps for starting a business:

  1. Do a CODB (Cost of Doing Business).
  2. Raise your prices.
  3. Do it the right and legal way. File for your LLC, get business insurance, and pay your taxes.
  4. Don’t half ass it. Invest in your business.
  5. If you don’t talk about your business, no one will. Stop being afraid of sales and treat this like what it is, a business.

When Rachelle is on her A-game, she’s found that this trifecta catapults her to show up as her best self:

  1. Daily movement (which for me looks like 20-30 minutes of exercise)
  2. Meditation (5-15 minutes, guided or unguided)
  3. Journaling (I write 3 things I'm grateful for, 3 affirmations, and 5 things on my to do list)

Rachelle’s advice to her 21 year old self:

  1. Ask for what you need.
  2. Set boundaries.
  3. Outsource.
  4. Join a networking group with other like-minded women.
  5. Invest in your growth.
