In 2018 the company launched the world's first desktop holographic display dev kit; in 2019, started shipping the world's first 8K light field display; and in 2020, launched Looking Glass Portrait, a personal holographic display. Lukasz believes that the Metaverse will revolutionize both education and communication. And that the exchange of ideas for education and understanding is at the core of civilization and the technologies around it are some of the most vital in the world.
Lukasz discusses on this podcast about the state of art headsets that we can currently expect to have ourselves within five years and how photorealistic the current virtual reality technologies currently are. In this podcast, I caught up with Dr. Neil McArthur, Professor of Philosophy at Manitoba University and asked him about the term Digisexual. Digisexuality is a term first introduced by Dr. Neil McArthur and Markie Twist's, 2017 Journal of Sexual & Relationship Therapy paper, 'The Rise of Digisexuality - Therapeutic Challenges & Possibilities'. A Digisexual is someone whose primary sexual identity comes through the use of Technology - so if a big part of your sexual experiences and connections with another person via things such as sexting or Skype. You're probably also a Digisexual.

Murray Shanahan is a professor of cognitive robotics at Imperial College London and a senior research scientist at DeepMind. With a PHD from Cambridge University he has carried out work in artificial intelligence, robotics, and cognitive science. Murray was a scientific advisor for the 2014 film Ex Machina. In 2017 he joined DeepMind, retaining his professorship at Imperial College on a part-time basis.
In the podcast we spoke about John McCarthy, the son of an Irish immigrant also called John from Valentia Island in Kerry and maybe the most important Irish American computer scientist pioneer and inventor, known as the father of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

A DAO is a network of stakeholders with no central governing body, just a set of rules encoded on a blockchain. We believe DAOs have the collaborative potential the world needs. The DAOstack project is building a modular, open-source software stack for DAOs that includes a library of governance protocols and friendly interfaces for creating and managing DAOs. DAOstack is an open source project advancing the technology and adoption of decentralised governance.To tackle today’s biggest problems, we need to coordinate around our shared values more effectively than our current systems allow. Blockchain makes a new type of organisation possible: the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO).
Kate Beecroft is the Ecosystem Lead at DAOstack. The company and platform grew substantially including the ICO in May 2018 creation of the GEN token, the launch of the first dApp Alchemy in 2018 and Alchemy Earth. In this podcast Kate discuses DAOstack and the future of decentralised technology.
