Eric and Kevin, two great friends discuss the what mean the most to them. First, living as children of the King. Second, living the Christian life with Jesus' saints in ordinary life. Third, a love of movies, church matters, history, book, and lots of Indian food! All from a biblical and historical perspective (even the Indian food).
In today’s episode, Eric will sort through the constant tensions we are surrounded with as believers in a world that can be confusing. How do we handle those areas of life the Bible does not specifically speak to? How should we act? How should we respond? How do we walk with freedom in Christ and how do we under no circumstances add to the gospel? Whether you call it “not of this world”, gray areas, matters of conscience, etc; this podcast will provide some great topics to think about and how to clearly stay Gospel focused.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated on 9/10/25. He was one of Eric's modern day heroes. Eric briefly shares why the life of Charlie Kirk was inspiring to him and what we can learn about free speech in this brief episode.

In today’s episode, we’re diving into the topic of anger—a powerful emotion that can be a buried topic because we are told “don’t be angry ever!” The Bible teaches us that not all anger is sinful, but how do we tell the difference between sinful anger and righteous anger?
We’ll look at examples from Scripture, including the times when Jesus Himself became angry—such as when He cleared the temple courts and confronted the Pharisees’ hypocrisy. His anger wasn’t about wounded pride or selfish desires; it was about protecting God’s glory, defending others, and standing against injustice.
Together, we’ll explore:
🔥 What sinful anger looks like: rooted in selfishness, bitterness, or personal resentment
✨ What righteous anger looks like: moved by love, compassion, justice, and a desire for God’s truth to be honored.
🕊️ How to spot the difference in our daily lives and pause to ask: Is my anger about me—or about God’s purposes?
❤️ Practical steps to handle anger biblically—learning to slow down, pray, think about the log in your own eye, and channel emotions toward loving action, grief, and empathy instead of destruction.
The goal isn’t to suppress anger but to let it be transformed by the Holy Spirit, so even in our strongest emotions, we reflect Jesus—living as compassionate, loving people who stand for truth and justice without sinning.

In this podcast, Eric reopens the topic of friendship and dives deep on what a biblical friendship is and what it is not.
Eric does not consider himself an expert, a guru, a professional, a master, or scholar of all things friendship. Nor that he has all the answers on the topic, but a deep desire to explore the Word as he seeks to figure out what the Lord calls us to in this concept of friendship. He will explore friendship in four categories.

With the sad new stories of men disqualifying themselves from vocational ministry, these questions must be asked:
1. Are Elders/Pastors necessary?
2. What standards are in the Bible for Elders/Pastors?
3. Why do Elders/Pastors keep being removed from vocational ministry?
4. Are Elders/Pastors being removed a "good" thing?
5. Do we trust the leaders to make these decisions, or should the lay congregants have input?
6. What to do in the church if an elder or pastor isn't qualified anymore and they will not leave?

Spurred on by a video from Allan Parr's YouTube channel The BEAT, Eric and Kevin discuss those who have deconstructed the faith or are in the process of it. What does it look like to pastorally approach those who are going through this, and what about specific questions or objections?
Not one to back down from a challenge, Eric regales us with the life and work of Walt Disney, with special attention given to Walt's work on Disneyland.
Eric and Kevin challenge each other again to recount a favorite moment in history, but in twenty minutes. In this case, Kevin discusses a favorite moment and favorite figure in the 300's AD.

Eric and Kevin discuss history once again (what can we say, it always relates back), specifically our culture's bizarre inability to define objective good and evil, and yet has a simplistic understanding of people in the past as either good or bad. So how is it possible for there to be objective evil with people being complex?
