Success under pressure is never accidental. It is built through preparation, integrity, and a commitment to doing the right thing when the stakes are highest. In this episode, we sit down with Mark O'Mara, Founder and Lead Attorney of O'Mara Law Group, to explore how more than four decades in the legal profession have shaped his approach to leadership, decision-making, and long-term success.
Mark reflects on his journey from prosecutor to nationally recognized trial attorney, sharing how listening, empathy, and careful preparation have guided him through some of the country's most scrutinized legal cases. He discusses what it takes to stay focused when emotions are running high, why reputation is earned through consistency rather than talent alone, and how integrity influences every professional decision.
Mark shares lessons from navigating intense public attention, explains why strong leadership requires letting go of control, and offers practical advice for professionals looking to grow beyond technical expertise.
We also explore the role of commercial real estate in long-term wealth creation, balancing business growth with investing, and why meaningful success comes from showing up every day, doing the work, and thinking beyond the next opportunity.

Building a successful business takes more than ambition. It requires long-term thinking, trusted relationships, and strategic decisions that create lasting value. We have a conversation with Dan Hilken, Regional Market President at Seacoast Bank, to discuss the lessons he's learned from working with small and medium-sized businesses through decades of economic cycles.
Dan shares why resilient business owners invest in experienced advisors, prioritize thoughtful planning, and focus on sustainable growth instead of short-term gains. We also explore how commercial real estate can become a powerful wealth-building tool, when owning property may make more sense than leasing, and why finding the right balance of leverage creates flexibility and long-term opportunity.
The conversation also examines the value of relationship banking, highlighting why trust, integrity, and ongoing strategic conversations are often more valuable than transactional thinking. Looking ahead, we discuss why Orlando continues to be a strong market for entrepreneurs and business growth, along with advice for building a business that can adapt through changing markets while creating lasting success.

A failed family retail business, a changing industry, and a willingness to think differently became the foundation for a career built on discipline, adaptability, and long-term value creation for Andy Weiner. Andy is the Founder and CEO of RockStep Capital, and on this episode, we talked about what it takes to invest successfully through multiple market cycles while staying committed to a clear strategy.
While headlines often focus on the impact of e-commerce and shifting consumer habits, he explains why strong retailers continue to expand and why limited new construction of shopping centers has created favorable supply-and-demand dynamics for owners. He shares how RockStep identifies opportunities in what it calls "Hometown America," focusing on growing communities outside major metro areas where quality of life, population growth, and local engagement drive long-term success.
The conversation also examines the importance of underwriting discipline, conservative use of debt, and the patience required to walk away from deals that do not meet strict investment criteria. Andy discusses why complexity often creates opportunity, particularly in retail and enclosed malls, where fewer investors are willing to do the deep work required to uncover value.
Listeners will gain insights into contrarian investing, navigating uncertainty, building resilient teams, and creating enduring value through disciplined decision-making, community engagement, and a long-term perspective.

But for C’jon Armstead, the journey started with uncertainty, cold calls, and a willingness to show up every day, even when the results were not immediate. Commercial real estate is rarely a straight line, and Brittany Megrath’s journey proves it. From professional ballet dancer and Las Vegas showgirl to founder of a national commercial real estate brokerage, Brittany built M Square Commercial by leaning into reinvention, discipline, and a willingness to specialize where others stayed broad.
We explore how Brittany carved out a niche representing STNL developers and expansion tenants on ground-up retail developments across the country. What began with cold outreach during the uncertainty of COVID evolved into long-term relationships, national deal flow, and a brokerage model centered around one highly specific type of transaction.
The conversation also breaks down how STNL development really works behind the scenes, from sourcing land and evaluating trade areas to navigating environmental challenges, municipal approvals, and shifting retail trends. Brittany explains why relationships remain the foundation of the business, especially in an industry where deals can take years to materialize, and local market knowledge still matters more than ever.
Listeners will learn about retail development, tenant expansion strategy, and why specialization and consistency can create long-term success in commercial real estate.

Faith, discipline, and identity are not formed in a single moment. They are built through the quiet, consistent decisions we make every day. In this conversation with Michael Walker-Thomas, educator, author, poet, and mentor, we explore how purpose is discovered and shaped over time through mindset, faith, and intentional living.
Michael reflects on his journey from a young writer who used poetry for self-expression to becoming a published author and mentor. Grounded in faith, he shares how spiritual practices structure his daily life and shape his approach to both creativity and high-stakes decisions.
A major focus of the discussion is the tension between authenticity and social pressure, especially for younger generations navigating constant digital influence. Drawing from his experience in education, Michael highlights the importance of imagination, mentorship, and developing confidence rooted in self-awareness rather than external validation.
We also explore how to recalibrate when life feels misaligned, through reflection, prayer, and intentional habits that create clarity and direction. Listen in to learn how faith can guide decision-making, how discipline builds identity, and how the choices we make today ultimately shape the legacy we leave behind.

What if the biggest driver of your career growth isn’t just the work you do, but how you’re known for it? In this episode, we sit down with Andy Storch, author, speaker, and career and personal brand strategist, to unpack the powerful connection between brand ownership, career progression, and life design.
We explore the idea that personal brand is not about self-promotion or social media presence alone, but about your reputation. In today’s fast-paced and competitive environment, Andy explains why simply “doing great work” is no longer enough. Visibility, relationships, and intentional positioning play a critical role in unlocking new opportunities.
The conversation dives into how brand shows up both internally and externally. From how you collaborate within your organization to how you share information publicly, every interaction contributes to your overall perception. Andy emphasizes that being mindful and intentional about these moments can significantly impact your trajectory.
A major focus is self-awareness as the foundation of brand clarity. By understanding your strengths, values, and what you want to be known for, you can align your actions with your long-term vision. We also discuss the importance of balancing confidence with humility, setting boundaries, and sharing your journey in a way that feels authentic rather than promotional.

Strategy, trust, and brand are no longer separate pillars in commercial real estate, they’re deeply interconnected, and Reid Bennett has built his career at that intersection. In this conversation, we explore how he has differentiated himself in a crowded CRE landscape by combining thoughtful deal strategy with a consistent and authentic personal brand.
Reid shares a key shift in mindset: success isn’t just about who you know, but who knows you. By leaning into visibility and creating content that resonates, he’s been able to build trust at scale, often before ever speaking with a client.
The conversation also dives into how Reid navigates complexity in today’s market. Rather than acting as a transactional broker, he positions himself as a strategic advisor, someone who understands market nuance, crafts compelling narratives around assets, and identifies the right buyers through intentional targeting.
We also touch on the importance of consistency, discipline, and ongoing professional development. From earning his CCIM designation to embracing the daily fundamentals of the business, Reid emphasizes that long-term success is built through repetition and focus.
Listeners will learn how to build credibility, stand out in a competitive industry, and align strategy, trust, and brand to create lasting success in commercial real estate.

Agriculture remains one of the most important yet often misunderstood industries in the United States. Behind the farms, ranches, and food systems that sustain communities is a complex business environment that requires thoughtful planning, strategic leadership, and strong legal guidance. Amanda Perry Carl, Founder of Florida Agricultural Law, has built her career helping agricultural businesses navigate these challenges while protecting the legacy many families have spent generations building.
With nearly two decades of experience across litigation, in-house counsel, and private practice, Amanda brings a unique perspective to the legal needs of the agricultural sector. She explains that agriculture today is far more sophisticated than many people realize, with evolving federal and state regulations, food safety standards, and operational risks that require specialized legal expertise. In Florida alone, agriculture represents a massive economic engine, supporting millions of jobs and generating significant economic impact across the state.
Amanda emphasizes that the law should not only be viewed as a safety net when problems arise. Instead, a proactive legal strategy can serve as a powerful tool for growth. Family-owned agricultural operations present an additional layer of complexity. Amanda highlights how legacy, land ownership, and generational transitions often create difficult decisions for business owners. Open conversations about succession planning, retirement, and leadership transition can help families preserve both their businesses and their heritage.
Alongside her professional work, Amanda balances running her firm while raising five children, offering a perspective grounded in both leadership and service. Her work reflects a commitment to supporting the people and communities that keep agriculture thriving.

Most careers in commercial real estate stall not from lack of talent, but because no one explains how advancement actually works.
In this episode, we sit down with Marcy Moneypenny, Founder of The Moneypenny Collective, to talk candidly about what it really takes to move from strong execution to sustained senior-level influence in CRE.
Marcy draws on more than three decades inside institutional commercial real estate to explain why the industry functions as an ecosystem. We unpack why so many capable Directors and VPs plateau, and why “just keep producing” is incomplete advice for long-term advancement.
A key highlight is the distinction between mentorship and sponsorship. Sponsorship, Marcy explains, is where real acceleration happens. It's what occurs when someone is willing to spend their reputation and social capital on your behalf in rooms you may never enter.
We also explore how leaders can intentionally shape their professional signal, navigate organizational dynamics without compromising integrity, and build career durability over decades.
This is a strategic, clear-eyed conversation about influence, retention, and career longevity. Listeners will leave with the knowledge of how to move beyond execution and intentionally design a career that scales.

In this episode, we sit down with Jackie Hirsch, founder of Crowne Atlantic Properties, to unpack where business value, exit strategy, and real estate decisions truly intersect. Drawing on nearly three decades of advising owners through sales and valuations, Jackie brings a grounded, experience-first lens to how businesses are actually priced and why “valuation” and “value” are not the same thing.
We explore what buyers really look for, from normalized EBITDA and owner dependence to customer concentration and capital expenditure needs. Jackie explains why clean financials, realistic owner compensation, and a business that can operate without heroic effort from the founder often matter more than the headline revenue number. We also dig into how exits unfold in the real world, rarely in straight lines, and why waiting too long to prepare can quietly erode both leverage and outcomes.
We discuss when owning versus leasing creates flexibility and optionality, and how real estate decisions can either support a smooth transaction or become an unexpected friction point that complicates deals.
Listeners will walk away with a clearer framework for building real, transferable business value and making decisions today that support better outcomes tomorrow.

The Performance Mindset Show helps business owners, leaders, and investors make better decisions without the noise, hustle culture, or transactional thinking.
Hosted by commercial real estate advisor, investor, and author Amy Calandrino, each episode blends real-world strategy with the mindset required to execute. You’ll hear honest conversations with high-performing entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, and advisors about how they build resilience, create alignment, and grow long-term wealth without burning out.
This show is for you if you’re navigating decisions with real consequences: scaling up (or right-sizing), leasing vs. buying, evaluating a deal, planning transitions, or simply trying to turn what you know into what you do. Expect clearer thinking, better questions, and practical takeaways you can apply immediately in business, commercial real estate, and life.
If you’re ready to trade quick wins for lasting progress, you’re in the right place.
In this episode, we sit down with Gabe Einhorn, founder of VryfID and PRAYS, to unpack why trust is becoming harder to establish, and more essential, across real estate transactions. Drawing from his early experience in NYC commercial real estate, Gabe explains how brokers and landlords still rely on fragmented, unverified documents, even as AI makes it easier than ever to fabricate proof of funds or identities. That gap between speed and certainty is what pushed him to build VryfID: a platform designed to organize sensitive information, verify both sides of a deal, and remove bad data before it wastes time or creates risk.
We explore how verification changes outcomes in practical terms- from cutting down unqualified applicants to helping professionals avoid months of lost rent or failed deals, and why technology should simplify decisions, not add noise. The conversation also moves beyond tools into mindset. Gabe connects his background in competitive soccer to the discipline, teamwork, and emotional leadership required to build something meaningful early in a career. He shares what consistency looks like as a founder, and how faith and purpose, expressed through PRAYS, help him stay aligned under pressure.
Listeners can expect a grounded, practical discussion about trust as infrastructure, the real risks of unverified data, and why work ethic still matters when you’re building for the long term.
