Fashion Stories, hosted by fashion designer and environmentalist Runa Ray, features female fashion changemakers, disruptors, and innovators that are uplifting and championing the global South Asian fashion community. Through the journey of Fashion Stories powered by the Fashion Impact Fund, Runa Ray showcases notable and progressive voices making a difference in their respective fields of fashion and sustainability and the important role they play in impacting change for the future of fashion and women entrepreneurs, echoing the ethos of social and environmental justice.
As an innovator, Runa Ray's designs encompass nature-based solutions. She is a featured speaker at the United Nations, the National Institute of Fashion Technology and Rutgers University. Runa Ray is the lead mentor of the CFDA and Swarovski’s Regeneration Scholar Award 2021. Her work has been featured in the Times, Huffingtonpost, Vogue, ID, WWD, Daily Mail and Harper's Bazaar.

Since graduating from Central Saint Martins as a textile designer and weaver, Josie has been living and working in South Asia, founding AMMA a social enterprise that harnesses the power of food waste and plants to create natural textile dyes. Josie is a fellow of the Edmund Hillary Fellowship in New Zealand and is currently studying Ecological Design Thinking at Schumacher College in Devon.
Lonali Rodrigo, is the founder and designer behind House of Lonali, the brand for all who believe there is unique beauty in every flaw. As soon as she graduated from the University of Northumbria she decided to take the challenge of starting her own social enterprise, House of Lonali, as the first up-cycling fashion brand from Sri Lanka designing and crafting beautiful unique pieces from textile waste.
Afsana Ferdousi is the name of a young, promising, international and a rising Fashion Designer of Bangladesh who stood out significantly with her marvellous designs in every festival and displays. Her focusing on sustainable design and aesthetical development yet her design explores Bangladeshi heritage of weaving, sustainable textiles and knitting. She is nonetheless an expert in Fashion Technology, also a fashion activist based in Bangladesh.
Nawshin is Managing Director and Creative Director for a fairtrade brand Aranya which focuses on revival and conservation of natural dye, local handloom and handicrafts of Bangladesh. Aranya, established in 1990, is known for its success in commercializing and promoting the use of natural dye , and empowering rural artisans .

Huma Adnan (born 23 July) is a Pakistani fashion designer and one of the first to introduce a fusion of European bohemia with a Pakistani twist, mixed with traditional crafts and contemporary cuts to give her label a very distinct signature style. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan.
Anuje Farhung is an apparel/ textile designer and an educator. She did her undergrad in printmaking from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi. She graduated with a distinction and awards, and did group shows for a year.
Sajna Jirel is from Kathmandu, Nepal. She has her Masters in Sociology and is currently the Executive Director of HattiHatti Nepal.
Mingma Sherpa is an ecopreneur and believes in a sustainable approach for economic transition. She is from Nepal but currently living in Italy since July 2021. She received the WOW women achievers award 2017 for entrepreneurship and innovation.
