Jorge Loza and Wesley Reynolds

In this episode, we discuss the importance of self-belief, goal-setting, and persistence in achieving success. We emphasize that personal limitations often stem from self-doubt and fear, and highlight the importance of having a clear and actionable plans. The conversation touches on the value of breaking down larger goals into manageable steps and continuously working towards them.

We also discuss the significance of pushing oneself out of their comfort zone and taking risks as essential parts of personal growth. We also bring up the importance of surrounding oneself with supportive individuals and being adaptable in the face of setbacks. Throughout the episode, the overarching message is one of resilience, encouraging listeners to persist through challenges and remain focused on their goals to achieve success.

Here we are. Back in full effect.

Oh my gosh. Anyways, the other story, this is our first time we're doing this, but we're recording it. Yeah, and we're recording.

There's a pause. But the thing I was talking about last week is about how, you know, you have to follow through with what you're talking about. Change in terminology. And then you also have to understand that your words, yeah, give you the power. And having a clear and concise idea is what gives you, I guess, the direction of your life. And a lot of people just have these, like, wishy-washy dreams.

Like, when you were talking about last week about how, oh, you know, maybe what I'll do is I'll get better at my job and then maybe the next job. And then maybe the next job. And it's like, no, just think of the top guy. Why not? What's holding you back? You.

You say, no cap, no cap, and you're acting real sus. And that's where you live, girl. And, uh, no, so the second service I was talking to, good old Carlito, come on.

Isn't that what's supposed to happen? And it's kind of crazy because when you start thinking about it, you realize that a lot of the time, the only thing that's holding you back is yourself. You're the one who sets the limitations and boundaries on what you can achieve.

And I know it sounds cliché, but you really have to believe in yourself and have a clear vision of what you want. It's not just about having dreams, it's about having actionable goals and taking steps towards them every day.

You know, like when you were talking about getting better at your job, you have to ask yourself, what does that actually look like? What are the specific skills you need to improve? What are the milestones you need to hit? And then you need to make a plan and follow through with it.

Exactly. It's about breaking it down into manageable pieces and consistently working on them. And sometimes, you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone and take risks. That's how you grow and move forward.

Right. And you can't let fear or doubt hold you back. It's normal to feel those things, but you have to push through them. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you and your vision.

And be willing to learn and adapt. Sometimes things won't go as planned, and that's okay. You just have to be flexible and keep moving forward. It's all part of the journey.

Absolutely. It's about persistence and resilience. Every setback is a learning opportunity, and every step forward is progress. So, keep your eyes on the prize and don't give up.

A commencement speech with Gary Vee and he's like, "You got it beat into your heads that there's a participation trophy."

Yeah.

"That losing is okay."

Well, that losing is actually so bad that you have to make everything okay.

Yeah, yeah.

That you can't even feel loss.

And he's like, "That's some bullshit because then what inherently happens is that you get so afraid to fail, you don't want to try."

Oh, yeah.

Okay.

So, and then you see failures like the ultimate thing and then also it turns into "I'm not going to do something until it's perfect."

Yeah.

Like nothing's fucking perfect.

Yeah.

Well, nothing's perfect.

You never do it.

And so now that I'm doing my TikToks, what is your TikTok?

Because 13 inch man, dingo, hung warrior.

No.

I think it's the same thing.

It's a, oh, Wesley Reynolds WTV.

It gave it to me.

Oh, really?

Yeah.

And so.

And so he just went with a generated name.

You know it, girl.

And so, oh, I mean, I could change it later, but I, well, because I was like, I mean, TikTok, dude, I don't watch this stuff.

You know, I'm too old for this and actually what one thing that Gary Vee was pointing out was that everything ages up.

So like, if you think about it, Facebook started out as a college thing.

Yeah, I remember.

But only college people would get it.

And they're like, oh, you know, those are like for the 18 to 20 something year olds.

And then now, and then it turned into like 30 and 40 year olds.

Now it's like your parents and grandparents are using Facebook.

He's like, so every, and he said Instagram and TikTok are actually being used by people in the mid 40s.

So one of the things is that you never know.

You don't, you don't understand that that's what, uh, that that, that, so like when I look, here my, these are, I've only done nine TikToks.

The one I just released, it was a ...

If you're going to start something, start it. The best time to start something was 20 years ago. The next second best time is today.

So most people are like, well, I should have done this.

Oh, I wish I would have invested in Google.

Oh, I wish I had done this.

Well, fuck them.

Look around for the next Google, man.

You can't, you know, people, and I was talking to one of the mechanics.

He's like, oh, you know, if I would have done this, I would have, you know, because you said he was doing cocaine or something like doing like three thousand bucks a week.

Oh, he's like, if I would have, if I would have saved that money when I was younger, I would, I wouldn't be here.

I said, that's the thing.

I was listening to a book called The Power of Regret.

They were talking about how I know.

I know.

I said it.

I would have regret.

Yeah.

We've talked about it.

And it said, don't think you're smart, girl.

No, I was like, it sounds familiar.

Yeah.

And the guy said, you know, every time people say, I should have done this or, you know, I missed the boat on this, they're thinking of the best possible terms.

I said, if you would have fucking done that and then, you know, say you, you, you put your money in a company and you got like 10 million dollars, who's to say you want to just blow on that shit away?

Yeah.

Like, you know, you're always thinking of the best possible scenario and that's probably wouldn't have happened or might not have happened.

And you would have been in the sa
