Social and cyber sci-fi! A complex and colourful future projecting how a Government might keep its population in thrall, believing everything is for the best. As long as there is no evidence of criminality and a person can shop - what else matters? Our protagonist, Anaïs Balanchine, has escaped from a psychiatric hospital, having been there, excluded from society for the first twenty years of her life. The novel follows her as she finds a role in society and uncovers the gruesome details of what they did to her in those twenty years.
