The ERDB EcoYouth Podcast aims to raise awareness on pressing environmental concerns while engaging the youth sector to normalize conversations about environment and natural resources.
Studies revealed that climate change is already affecting even uninhabited areas. There is also increasing evidence that human activities affect all major climate system components. Join our hosts, Ms. Jonah Nuisa Garcia and Mr. Aaron Abel Banayo as they discuss the steps we could do in the face of this massive climate problem. We have also invited the ERDB Director Ma. Lourdes Ferrer inspires and challenges the youth to actively shape the future of our nature.

The pandemic has given us an overwhelming sense of uncertainty but this will not stop the creativity of our youth! Art has long been used to cope during times of pandemic. Us humans have always been expressive and in time of crisis we find comfort in seeing our feelings validated, at a distance. Joining us today are Kenneth Gray Alebio and Emelou Pacimos winners of the ERDB Youth Art contests 2020 and 2021. They will be sharing how art helped them during the pandemic and how art inspired them to create awareness for the environment.

In an organized consultation conducted by the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS) with the Italian youth (ages 18-30) asking their opinions about the most pressing issues, they found that 87% of the respondents ranked climate change as a top priority (The Forum Network, 2021). For the continuation of the previous episode, we are still joined by Cheng Pagulayan from Oxfam International, and Alyssa Gabrielle Camacho from UP ECOSS. They will be sharing their active involvement in the environmental sector through their personal advocacies and the organizations to which they belong.

This 2022, she will be representing Canada in the Miss Earth pageant.

**For the pilot episode of the ERDB EcoYouth Podcast 2022, we intend to introduce the ERDB Youth Program and invite the previous ERDB Youth Desk Officers to share their experiences in engaging the youth in raising awareness about the most pressing concerns in the environment and natural resources during their respective terms.
The guest speakers for this episode are the YDOs in 2017 Ms. Donnabel Elpedes-Hintural (TTD), and in 2019 Ms. Anne Valerie Gillado who was the former partner of one of the podcast hosts Mr. Aaron Abel Banayo. The goal of the ERDB Youth Program is to empower the youth in taking on an active role in conserving, managing, and protecting the environment.**
