Anyone who has lived or are living through their 20s know that it comes with a big old learning curve and a whole lot of self growth.
In this episode of Shaded, we talk about our biggest learnings from the last (almost) decade of our lives. It gets a little deep and personal but we wouldn’t have it any other way! We hope that this episode gives you some flashbacks into your own experiences. And if you’re one of those lucky ones yet to experience the delightful decade, we hope you take away some lessons to add to your armoury and enjoy the ride!
We know that a lot of you may be stuck in lockdown once again, but if we all do the right thing and support each other, we’ll make it out unscathed. Hey, it’s a team effort! So check on your circles, and reach out if you need some support.
Thank you so much for listening and sharing the love, we really appreciate it as always!
Make sure to go show us some love on our Insta, and share our little podcast with anyone who you think might enjoy it <3

Hey Shaded fam! This weeks episode is all about identity. But before we get into it, we take a trip down memory lane (because it's been that long) about our vulnerable reflections from our last episode (Ep 2 : Milkshakes, Consent and Online Dating - have a sneaky listen 😉). We then take a deep dive into that question that grinds our gears - "Where are you from?". It's a question that brings up all kinds of feelings inside of us, and through speaking to our other fellow shaded friends, we've discovered we aren't alone. We share some of the stories and strategies we can implement to address this question differently. Truth be told, we still don't know if we have figured out the best way to address this question 'Where are you from?', but have found a lot of catharsis through shared experiences. We also want to shout out some organisations that embrace diverse identities. Here are some of our faves - @Saaricollective https://www.instagram.com/saari.collective/?hl=en https://saaricollective.com.au/ @whereareyoufrom__ https://instagram.com/whereareyoufrom__?utm_medium=copy_link

TRIGGER WARNING : The following episode goes through themes of sexual harassment and assault. If those are themes that might make you feel uncomfortable, please skip this episode and listen to one of our other ones.
Hey, everyone! Welcome to episode 2 of Shaded Girls 😊
On this week’s episode, we’re talking all things CONSENT! In recent times, there has been a lot of conversations around consent, and how we as a society need to do better when addressing it. If you’re in Australia you may have seen or heard about the infamous “Milkshake” educational campaign video. In this episode we talk through our personal opinions on the Milkshake video, discuss some of our own experiences where boundaries were crossed, and lessons we’ve learnt along the way.
We know that this is sensitive topic for many, so if anything discussed in the episode has brought up any concerns or emotions regarding your own experiences, please reach out to someone you trust for support and/or organisations listed below that also provide support.
If you feel that someone you know may benefit from this episode or the resources mentioned in the episode or linked below, please feel free to share the love. While you’re at it, show us some love and make sure you give our Instagram a follow, share, and subscribe to the podcast wherever you listen to podcasts! Thank you sooo much for the support, we REALLY do appreciate it!

Heya!
Welcome to our podcast. We're so thrilled you've made it to this point. This is our first episode ever, but let's be real, we don't know what we are doing, we're rambling a little (okay, maybe a lot), but hey it can only go uphill from here. In this episode we cover who we are (not-so-famous and therefore very relatable) and what to expect in the episodes to come (dating, relationships, work, personal development, woo-woo spirituality etc. and most importantly, brown people perspectives).
Shout out to Ash for our Podcast's cover photo, definitely check her work out! https://www.instagram.com/facesandwhatnot/?hl=en
And while you're at it, check us out too and give us a cheeky follow, like and dm us your thoughts! https://www.instagram.com/shadedgirls/?hl=en
That's it from us! Until next time, much love to you all <3
