Celebrity Salute was created to honor our veterans, active duty military, their families and those who support them. Through conversations with celebrities, we recognize our nation’s true heroes and the sacrifices they make to protect our freedoms. We owe them greatly, and hope to raise awareness and support for them and their families while in active service and as they transition to civilian life —many continue to serve in the communities in which they live.
We welcome actress Charlene Tilton to the podcast to discuss her iconic role on the TV classic “Dallas.” A large collection of “Dallas” memorabilia has gone up for sale, and Randy discusses with Charlene how important the program was to American pop culture in its day, its influence on entertainment today, and more. Charlene also gives her well-wishes to all of our servicemembers and veterans listening to the program.

It will be a very special Memorial Day this year as it is both the 250th birthday of our Nation, as well as the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks on 9/11. Taking part in these festivities is the 43rd Surgeon General of the U.S., Lt General Patricia Horoho, who was present at the Pentagon on September 11th when it was hit by a hijacked airliner. Patty will be telling her story of the events of 9/11, and we hope you’re able to tune in on PBS!
Son of Jimmy Carter, Chip Carter, and Habitat for Humanity CEO Johnathan Reckford join Celebrity Salute to promote the annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project for Habitat for Humanity that is making a return to the Atlanta area, providing housing for those in need, as they mark the 50th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity and President Jimmy Carter’s presidency. Randy speaks with Chip and Jonathan about the great endeavor, and extolls the virtues of NEVER retiring.
Celebrity Salute is proud of our longstanding partnership with the incomparable Home Depot Foundation, serving veterans and their families to address many issues, especially veteran and accessible housing. Home Depot Foundation has improved the homes of over 70,000 veterans across out country, and Erin Izen fills us in on where Team Depot is heading next. Celebrity Salute is thrilled to welcome a force in aerospace achievement, the first woman to ever command a US spacecraft, a retired NASA astronaut and Air Force colonel, Eileen Collins! Eileen is the subject of the new documentary Spacewoman, which chronicles her trailblazing NASA career and personal life, based on her memoir Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars. It is receiving a select theatrical release in March 2026.
Alfonso Ribiero returns to Celebrity Salute to talk all things TV, and a big BIG milestone being hit by the long-running series “America’s Funniest Videos.” AFV is celebrating its 800TH episode, and Randy gets the scoop from Alfonso on what viewers can expect from this episode, as well as some of his thoughts on touring our amazing country.

Intrepid. “The Sailing of the Intrepid” is written by Williams and David Fisher, and the book tells of the Intrepid’s initial combat voyage, during World War II, when the ship and crew survived a Japanese torpedo plane attack in 1944.
