It is a story set in New York City in the United States of America and it is the story of one guy who, without seeking to do anything except mind his own business, ended up taking on the system, that guy’s name is Sunny Sheu.

This is the Chattory’s first-ever Halloween special and I have to be honest, this is an episode where I got more than I bargained for. It's an episode that was inspired by a text message I received out of the blue. The text message contained several photos of well, we will come onto that all in good time.  

So, without further ado let's lift the veil and hear what's coming up. 

First, we will be looking at something called the stone tape theory. Secondly, and with the stone tape theory in mind, we are going to turn our attention to a real pile of stones-so a building that has dominated one village in Northamptonshire for over 200 years. Thirdly, we will then be joined by a very special guest who let’s say captured something mysterious on camera in the building I’ve just mentioned and whose photos were the initial inspiration for this episode. Fourthly we will use some modern and real ghostbusting equipment to try and get some answers as to exactly what our guest captured and fifthly, ultimately try to come up with some conclusion as to what on earth could be behind this whole saga and what, if any is the connection between a theory, a building and a set of photos.

I am so excited about this one because it's a topic I have been interested in since the 90’s when I remember news reporters' frenzied coverage of the topic.  I will tell you straight off the bat-This one, I would describe as a whodunit.

A lot of people think they know who did it but actually, even after a whole lot of reading and researching the area for this episode I am barely any the wiser.

Well, I am sure that you have all heard of a State in America called Georgia. Atlanta is the capital city of Georgia and roughly 90 odd miles to the East of the capital and 7 miles from the town of Elberton which is spelt like Albert as in the boys name but with an E- Elbert, we come to Elbert County which could be famous for lots of things-but it isn't. It is famous because of a great big unmissable stone monument.

The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge' . However, let me say, in my opinion this ain't no Stonehenge because there are obvious differences. Unlike that big old pile of lovely slabs at Stonehenge, we know who ish built the monument in Georgia and -we know exactly when it was built- You will see why I say who ish built it soon. .

So where's the mystery then?-Well, the mystery that has never been satisfactorily explained is why the monument in Elbert County was built and who the messages written on it are aimed at and exactly what is the secret the stones hide or refer to? The stones at Georgia that this episode is based on are called the Georgia Guidestones.

In part 1, which was yesterday's episode we set the scene by discussing who the Sackler's are and something about their background:

So, without further ado lets move onto tonights focus which is:

1. What did the Sackler’s do?

We said in Part 1 that before he died, The last surviving Sackler brother-Raymond told his children they should leave the world a better place than when they entered it- you can decide for yourselves then whether or not some of the Sackler kids have achieved that while we look at this second question maybe. Let's see.

In America, all medications for human or animal consumption must be approved by the US Food and Drug Agency. The agency is more frequently referred to as the FDA and that’s how we shall refer to it going forward.

In 1994 then, The Sackler’s decided to apply to the FDA for a licence to market and sell a prescription medication or drug by way of a tablet called Oxycontin. The tablet was based on an earlier tablet sold by the Sackler’s which had been marketed between 1916-1990 but had been banned due to addiction problems. The only real difference as far as I understand is the ‘delivery system’ which Oxycontin used and which the Sackler's earlier pill did not use. Both contained the active ingredient Oxycodone but Oxycontin is a ‘slow release’ drug. This basically means that the tablet is wrapped in a purple film or coating which dissolves within a patients system over a period of time, and more specifically over a period of either 12 or 24 hours depending on whether one or two tablets are taken. Years later these purple tablets would be referred to by drug addicts, who purchased them for 40 USD each and who removed the purple film, crushed, snorted and injected the tablet as purple peelers.

Perdue advised that in most cases two doses should be taken 12 hours apart and therefore the maximum impact of 24 hours a day 7 days a week of pain free life could be achieved.
