In "The Wisdom of God?", Rev. Seth Enriquez explores the scriptural comparison of human wisdom to the Wisdom of God. Human wisdom is about feeding us the illusion control. The Wisdom of God breeds in us humility that allows us to forgive and love others as God forgives and loves us.
"We only live, only suspire, consumed by either fire or fire" St John of the CrossJohn the Baptist proclaims two coming fires: the fire of God's wrath, and the fire of the Holy Spirit. Which one will define you life?
A saint isn't a mountain sage with deep cryptic wisdom. A saint is someone who lives a life dedicated to Jesus. And Jesus gives us the shape of a saintly life in the Beatitudes. These words are comfort for the afflicted and afflict the comfort. Because Jesus promises to always be there, and to turn the wrongs we suffer into something beautiful. But we reject this when we choose comfort over Jesus. A honest faith proclaim "Christ died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again". This truth and its implications won't cooexist neatly with the spirit of the age. But our goal isn't to harmonize to the culture, but to follow Jesus even if it makes us uncomfortable in our world. We must do this if we are honest followers of Jesus, if we are to be saints.
The deadliest threat to an honest faith in Jesus is pride. Join Rev. Seth as we explore te ways we can experience God's life and love in our lives.
THE HOLY GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRISTACCORDING TO LUKE 5 The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith! 6 He replied, If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and planted in the sea, and it will obey you. 7 Suppose one of you has a servant ploughing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, Come along now and sit down to eat? 8 Wont he rather say, Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink? 9 Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? 10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.

O God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep,by the blood of the eternal covenant, make us perfect in every good work to do your will, and work in us that which is well-pleasing in your sight;through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Gracious Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came from heavento be the true bread which gives life to the world, evermore give us this bread, that he may live in us, and we in him,who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Father of mercy, alone we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves. When we are discouraged by our weakness, strengthen us to follow Christ, our pattern and our hope;who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Almighty God,whose Son was revealed in majestybefore he suffered death upon the cross, give us faith to perceive his glory, that being strengthened by his gracewe may be changed into his likeness, from glory to glory;who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, abides under the shadow of the Almighty. He shall say to the Lord, "You are my refuge and my stronghold, my God in whom I put my trust."
Materialism makes citizens as such merely passive. Irreligion is the opium of the people. G.K. Chesterton
But to you who are listening I say: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who ill-treat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Looking at his disciples, he said:
Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. I theLordsearch the heartand examine the mind
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here am I. Send me! Isaiah 6.8

18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,to set the oppressed free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lords favour.
