Ingathering Offering 2023
You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor. Exodus 23:16 (ESV)
November is the month we set aside for our annual Ingathering Offering. Taking Exodus 23:16 as our theme, this offering is gathered in recognition of how much our God has blessed us individually, and as a church family, throughout 2023.
We praise God that through the Ingathering Offering we’ve been able to complete many projects over the past few years:
Our parking lot has been repaired and repaved,
Our roof has been rebuilt and coated to prevent leaks,
We built the Cornerstone Café,
We’ve updated our Technical Equipment, (Audio/Visual/lighting, etc.)
We’ve remodeled the Worship Center, Quad, Children’s Department, etc.
As we see our attendance growing, our Ingathering Offering this month (which is over and above our regular giving) will be used to expand and enhance our “Inviting Spaces” where connections can be made with the people in Our Worlds. The Offering will be designated to the following areas:
We want to expand our ability to use the Outdoor Patio area with a custom patio covering, (including ‘misters’ for the hot summer months.)
As always, a portion of the offering will also go to our Local Missions Outreach program, (ReachLocal.)
Special envelopes are available for your Offering, (please make sure to designate your Ingathering Offering separately from your regular offering.) You can give to the Ingathering Offering through the end of December 2023. Any questions can be directed to the Office.

2023 Ingathering Offering
You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor.
Exodus 23:16 (ESV)
November is the month we set aside for our annual Ingathering Offering. Taking Exodus 23:16 as our theme, this offering is gathered in recognition of how much our God has blessed us individually, and as a church family, throughout 2023.
We praise God that through the Ingathering Offering we’ve been able to complete many projects over the past few years:
Our parking lot has been repaired and repaved,
Our roof has been rebuilt and coated to prevent leaks,
We built the Cornerstone Café,
We’ve updated our Technical Equipment, (Audio/Visual/lighting, etc.)
We’ve remodeled the Worship Center, Quad, Children’s Department, etc.
As we see our attendance growing, our Ingathering Offering this month (which is over and above our regular giving) will be used to expand and enhance our “Inviting Spaces” where connections can be made with the people in Our Worlds. The Offering will be designated to the following areas:
We want to expand our ability to use the Outdoor Patio area with a custom patio covering, (including ‘misters’ for the hot summer months.)
As always, a portion of the offering will also go to our Local Missions Outreach program, (ReachLocal.)
Special envelopes are available for your Offering, (please make sure to designate your Ingathering Offering separately from your regular offering.) You can give to the Ingathering Offering through the end of the year. Any questions can be directed to the Office.

Our world gives us SO MUCH to be worried about these days, while most people just want to be happy. Fortunately, God offers us something MUCH greater than happiness: Real JOY!
The goal of every Christian’s life should be to live in a way where we are growing in the knowledge of Christ. That is, to be spiritually mature. In fact, our mission here at Crosswinds is to “Be a community of believers who strive to grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ and to be so changed that Jesus would use us to make Himself known to those we interact with on a regular basis (our world).”
Temptation is a powerful force in all of our lives, but it can be overcome. This morning, Jesus shows us the way through those things that temp us!
Today, we meet John the Baptist, a man whose message had a huge impact on many people. Are you 'sounding the alarm' in Your World, or are you just going through the motions? John makes three 'alarming' statements to us.
Have you noticed that since you became a Christian, life has gotten more difficult? Well, it's because our flesh and spirit are at war with each other!
The mystery of the Kingdom of God has been given to us! We can now understand what the Kingdom is, and what is its purpose!
Life hasn't been that easy for Mary, Joseph, and Jesus; but today their lives will go from 'difficult' to 'dangerous' as they run from Herod. Nevertheless, there is reason for HOPE!
The Wise Men had conflicting orders from King Herod and God Himself. This option remains today: What should we do when faced with the choice to obey God or a human authority?
This morning, as we begin a new series in the Gospel of Matthew, we see Jesus' "Family Tree." We are encouraged when we realize the branches of this tree extend to US as well! Today, we'll learn some amazing things about Jesus...
The Apostle Paul preaches a "Message from Mars" this morning. In his sermon we see four things that I hope will characterize our ministries as we impact Our Worlds this year!
Today, Pastor James finishes his letter to his church. He's been encouraging them to put their faith into action! And now we see faith's finest work: powerful, effective, prayer!
As Pastor James is finishing his letter to his church, he now instructs them, (and us!) on how to put what he's said into practice: (wait for it!) have an attitude of patience!
James now turns his attention to the rich people among them; Those who were selfish with their money , and hurt the poor. But before you think, "That's not me!" read on...
As James continues his letter to the members of his church, he now has to confront some tough issues that are evident. The fighting hasn't stopped 2000 years later... so listen up!
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” - Luke 22:19
James continues with his theme: It's our actions that are important! Our faith should be visible through our works. Today we see that wisdom is also more than what you know!
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
So far, we've been seeing that it's our ACTIONS that are important; but that doesn't mean that our WORLDS don't also have an impact. Today James is all about the tongue!
James has been telling us, in so many ways, to DO something! But wait... we're justified by faith, so what part do our works play? He answers this question today; describing three kinds of faith...
James has been telling us to put out faith to work. Today he gives us some practical examples of just how to do it. Here are some things to consider when interacting with those in our worlds...
James has 'encouraged' us with the fact that Everyone will experience Trials and Temptations. Whether or not we respond well is going to be seen in our reaction to the Word of God!
Last week we saw the struggle with Trials coming at us from the outside! This week, it's temptations coming from inside us! Today, James focuses on three important things.
What is as certain as death and taxes? TRIALS! And that's where James begins his letter to us: "Have Joy!" Here are some things to know when the 'alarm' rings in your life.
