James 1:14-15 says. “But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.15Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”Did you know there is an anatomy of sin? Satan is very good at using our own desires to entice us to sin. In this podcast we are going to dissect sin in an attempt to help you break this cycle of sin.

What if you had the opportunity to make one person's day better? What if you could be a part of making a positive impact on the world you live in? What if you could bring a pre-believer in Jesus one step closer to entering into a relationship with Jesus simply by the way you treat them? If you had those opportunities, would you take them? In today’s podcast, we are going to talk about the Power of our Words because you already have those opportunities simply by the words you speak.

Were you taught that a Christian cannot be oppressed by a demon? Or that if you leave the demons alone, they will leave you alone? How is that working for you? If this is true, then why do so many Christians continue to struggle with ongoing issues? Many people have tried not to be angry, not to look at pornography, not to feel rejected, or tried not to overeat but just keep failing over and over again. Often, you can “manage” your behavior and not give in to it, but if the pressure is there it’s being energized by something! My friend, “managing” is better than giving in to it, but it isn’t freedom. If you have tried and failed to quit doing something repeatedly consider that the demonic oppression maybe involved! What me?

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone, and their emotional reaction to what was being said was more than the situation called for? Have you been in a similar conversation, and did what was said cause a stronger emotional reaction in you than was necessary? In both situations, the conversation triggered a wounded place, eliciting a strong reaction. The good news is that God has a way to heal those wounded places.

Do you find yourself stuck in sinful patterns and can't stop or figure out why you keep committing that same sin? It might be because of the pressure that is on you from your ancestors sin. Why do we love to watch movies where the main character is the hero? Why do we like to read stories about people who have done something courageous? Could it be that God has both a masculine side and a feminine side? Have we effectively put God in a box by only using masculine titles? But I believe that Father God also has a mother's heart. In Genesis 1:27, it says that “God created man in His own image. In the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them.” In other words, both male and female are created in the image of God, not just the male.

It is impossible for us to put ourselves in the place of the women who watched Jesus die a horrible death on the cross, and then watch Him be buried in a borrowed tomb, and then watch a huge stone be rolled in front of the tomb, sealing it forever. Can you imagine what it was like for Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James, to go to the tomb to place spices and find that it was empty? Then, when they went back to tell the disciples what they saw, the men did not believe them. Typical, right, ladies? Yet these women were the first people to know that the tomb was empty. In this podcast we are going to look at the significance of the tomb being empty for us today.

For the rest of your life you are going to hear two voices. One voice, the voice of our Father God says, "This is my beloved son or daughter," the other voice says, "if you are a son, then prove it." Gods voice is the voice of affirmation. The other voice is the voice tempting you to prove you really are who God says you are. Which voice are you listening to? In this podcast I am posting a message by my Pastor Jarod Smith that will really help in this struggle with the two voices.

Have you ever walked into a room filled with familiar faces, yet no one seemed to recognize you, even though you had been in that place countless times before? In that moment, a wave of emotions may wash over you—loneliness, insignificance, and a profound sense of being unseen or undervalued. Now, imagine the contrast: you step into that same room, and instantly, someone spots you from across the way, rushing towards you with open arms. They envelop you in a warm hug and exclaim how deeply they’ve missed you. If you were God, how would you have introduced Jesus, the Messiah, Your Son to this world? I don’t think most of us would have done it the way that God did it on that very first Christmas. I would have put all of the glory and splendor of heaven on display that would have made Hollywood pale in comparison. But that is not how God chose to introduce His Son. I’m sure you have heard the phrase in church about having Wholehearted Devotion to Jesus. I heard it again this week at church and I found myself agreeing with it, yet not being sure what it means and how to do that. Our hearts are so divided between our family and friends, our hobbies and our desires. Then you throw in verses like Psalms 86:11 that says to “Unite my heart to fear Your name.” How can we say with all integrity that we are wholeheartedly devoted to Jesus with so many things tugging on our affections? I believe that RTF can help you answer that question. That is the topic of this weeks podcast.

People all around the world know the emergency phone number for their country. It is 911 for those of us in North America, I believe it is 999 in the UK, and 112 in Europe. We know that you only dial those numbers when you need emergency services like an ambulance, or the police, or the fire department. Unfortunately many people have a 911 relationship with Jesus. They only call on Him when they are in an emergency. Yes, Jesus will be there for you when you are in a crisis, but He is much more than a 911 Jesus.

There are two conditions that are a bit hard to define because they are invisible boundary lines, yet they often have a very strong effect on your life. Those two conditions that may be interacting are soul ties and being able to establish healthy boundaries.
Both of these are hard to define because you can’t point to a specific behavior to verify them. They both have to do with our heart attitudes, and they are both important because they can hinder our free will. Money can be a blessing or a curse in our lives. Most of us who have been in church for any length of time have heard many sermons about money. John describes three levels of maturity in the body of Christ. We need the fathers and mothers who are ahead of us to help pull us along. We also need those young people who are thick in the battle with the Evil One. We also need the children, those new to the faith, that we can walk with and encourage in their relationship with Jesus. Notice the wonderful picture. The fathers and mothers reach back to the young people and pull them along. The young people reach up to gain strength and knowledge from the fathers and mothers. They also reach back to pull the children along toward maturity. I love this picture because no matter if you are one of the children, one of the young people, or one of the fathers and mothers, you have purpose in the body of Christ.

In today's podcast we're going to talk once about boundaries, because having healthy boundaries is vital for living in the peace, the joy, and the rest that Jesus came to give you.

Have you ever wondered why Restoring the Foundations International uses an integrated approach to ministry? Why is the ministry so effective? What are the four problem areas that are addressed in a person's life for this integrated approach?
The seeds of the ministry were brought to life through revelation of this systemic process given to Chester and Betsy Kylstra in the late 80's and has grown and continued to impact so many people's life giving them freedom in areas they were previously struggling with for years, or their entire life.
Stay tuned as Lee Whitman, shares more of the how and why the integrated approach works so well in the ministry of Restoring the Foundations in people's lives.

In today's podcast, Lee shares with us what is perhaps a new point of view for many on the old popular marketing phrase, "What Would Jesus Do?". It goes much further than the simple bracelet many people wore with the "WWJD" letters clearly visible as a reminder in making decisions as we live our lives.
But what would Jesus do? As we review that question, we find scriptures that clearly define exactly what Jesus would both DO and SAY as he performed his ministry during his time here on earth.

You're not good enough to live a Godly life, and you can't do enough to earn God's affection or favor. In fact, In Isaiah 28, God's word clearly says that all your best attempts at righteousness are in the same category as used toilet paper. When you look at it that way, it makes you re-think how you approach this Christian walk.
Does this mean we give up trying, and live however we want? We'll unpack that question in today's podcast.

It's easy to conflate our identity with our activity and define our worth based on our what we do. If you measure your value by how successful you are, what happens when you fail? In most cases, this is when depression and hopelessness set in. God did not intend for use to be defined by our actions, but by His. That's not to say that our actions are unimportant. On the contrary! Our actions are a result of our beliefs. What we believe about ourselves and about God shine through our actions.
