Welcome to session 2022-2023. Our new House Captains will give you a roundup of what's going on in Laxdale at the moment. We hope to have all our P7 leaders contributing to the school podcast over the coming months. We hope you enjoy!
Our working groups spend time together on Fridays to plan for the school. We call it 'Power Hour' as the pupils feel a great sense of responsibility and ownership doing this. Here's a little update from the Eco committee, House captains, P7s and Sports Council about what they were working on today.
Primary 7 pupils performed a Nativity play over Zoom for the school today. Abi and Peter will tell you all about it.
The Sports Council give a brief update on what they've recently organised. Laxdale pupils will take part in a Cross Country which is being run by the Stornoway Running and Athletics Club. Good luck everyone.
The Sports Council organised a Cross Country event for all the pupils in the playground today. It was a Crazy Costume Cross Country and there was a brilliant range of outfits on display. Pupils gave maximum effort, and you can hear what they have to say about it in this episode!
In this episode we speak to pupils out and about on their sponsored walk to the Newmarket Play Park. The whole school has been raising funds for the maintenance and upgrade of the equipment at the park. As you'll hear in this episode, they love their local play park!
