Many of us don’t realize the importance of thinking in terms of future interviews when you’re working in your first years as a professional. At certain point it becomes more relevant to be much better prepared for an interview.
In this episode I give 5 recommendations to ease the job for future interviews for significant better positions or places.
- Keep track of your work
- Save your performance reviews
- Write blog posts/articles
- Be open to apply to new tech companies (even if not interested in them/doing well in your current place)
- Constantly ask for recommendations
In this episode I give my three reasons (could be more for sure) of why developers could be reluctant to do refactors more frequently:
- Lack of knowledge of what is good and what is bad code.
- Think that someone could be offended by redoing previously done code
- Fear of breaking things
Addressing technical debt also in big part in our own hands as developers. It's our duty to keep our kitchen clean.
