At ease, heroes! It's time to head back to The Quest Hub, where we turn in the bounty and sort the loot.
The Quest Hub is a monthly review podcast where we take a look at third-party modules and supplements for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, and see what they have to offer intrepid adventurers.
Each month we run a full module, as written, with the intention of exploring it as fully as possible in a single session. We also add a supplement to a character(in the form of a new race, class, archetype, etc.) to spice up the party and test out options for those searching for something outside the core books.
For each episode, we review the module and supplement we played, identifying their strengths, assessing their options, and exploring their faults. Our goal is to provide the TTRPG community an examination of this content so they can make informed decisions about these products while providing an entertaining and informative frame to engage with.
So pull up a seat, grab a drink, and settle your bones; you've made it to The Quest Hub.
Welcome back to The Quest Hub! In this episode, we briefly speak about The Griffon's Saddlebag 200-page supplement with tons of interesting additions for your games. Use your skills and guile to make your way out of the Tower of Song on the fourth layer of hell. Is it the promised land of epic adventures and god-slaying machinations or is it the wasteland of combat encounters with no end and boringly perfect characters? In this episode we talk about the game past max level and if it's really worth it to go there, or if you should maybe stay in familiar shores of Tier 2.

How you do you visualize your player character? Do you use art as a means of inspiration to jump start your creative process? Do you find the perfect piece to represent them after you've finished building? Or do you let the character's actions speak for themselves and leave it all to the mind's eye? In this episode JD and Dane discuss their preferred tactics of visualizing their characters throughout their creations.

Embrace your dark desires and collaboratively kill a bunch of characters using the trappings of your favorite horror films. JD and Dane explore the rules-light system and recount some of the sillier events of their experience with the game, so pull up a spot by the fire and have a listen.

Is it a robust and interesting character concept with a lot of metaphorical legs or just a gimmick that burdens your DM? Grab a spot by the campfire and find out.

The inaugural episode of Side Quest is here! On this show we'll take a look at supplements, modules, and games that don't really fit into the bigger Quest Hub episodes. That means we'll be exploring more experimental, esoteric, or abstract bits of TTRPG content. In this first show we played a 1 player-1 DM module referred to as a "Duet." We're excited to examine how it plays and expound a bit on what we see happening for Side Quest as it progresses.
