💙 The abundance of water available on Earth is one of the main reasons why it is often referred to as the 'Blue Planet'. 💙👨🔬 With nearly 70% of the planet's surface being covered with water, scientists have always wondered about its origins. 🤔❔
✨ The health benefits of probiotics include improving gut health, the immune system, and brain function! 🧠 Make sure you add probiotics to your diet! 😃👍
PS: This is not an AD. We just like this soda @drinkculturepop, so Science Boy wanted to make an episode on it! ❤️
♻️ The 3 Important R's: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle! ♻️ #NYClimateWeek
👨🔬 Story goes Science Boy was very tired when he filmed this video, but he was so inspired by this cute Earth plush @faoschwarz that he still wanted to spread a positive message... best he could at the moment! 🌎✨ He talks about protecting the environment almost daily! ❤️ He wants to come up with creative solutions to help the environment in the near future! 😇
🦠 Prokaryotes (bacteria) were the first forms of life on Earth, existing for billions of years before plants and animals appeared. ⏳
✨ Every living organism falls into one of two groups:
✔️ prokaryotes
✔️ eukaryotes
🧍♂️ Humans are eukaryotes because we have a complex cell structure! 🤩
❗ Cellular structure determines which group an organism belongs to! 🆒
🤔❓ How did creatures like us form? Most biologists are convinced that eukaryotes emerged when one cell swallowed another one nearly two billion years ago. 💡
😋 Cotton Candy™ grapes have a flavor that is unmistakably like cotton candy. It is very sweet, with a higher Brix level than the average green table grape, and has a soft, but crunchy texture. There is very little tartness, which holds the sweetness on the tongue, and a finish with hints of vanilla. 🤍
✨ The grapes were developed by horticulturist David Cain and his team at Bakersfield, California-based fruit breeder International Fruit Genetics. 🧬
🌟 We have this wonderful convenient way to eat ice-cream thanks to the brilliant Harry Burt from @goodhumor_icecream who was a great innovator and visionary that forever changed how we eat! 💡
👀 Watch the video to learn about the great impact Harry Burt made in the US food industry! ❤🇺🇸
✨ Pringles is Science Boy's favorite snack in terms of taste and innovation! 😋💡 Did you know there is some serious Science behind Pringles? 🧠 Please watch the video to find out about it! 👀
🤤 Next time you take a bite of a delicious @pringles you will appreciate it so much more! ❤️ I can't imagine a world without Pringles! 🤩
😳 OMG look at this big wasp's nest Science Boy accidentally found! 🐝✨ Bees and wasps took separate evolutionary paths over 100 million years ago. Bees are vegetarians, collecting pollen to feed their young, while wasps and hornets are carnivores, feeding on other insects. 💡
✨ Sundials once served entire civilizations as the only means to tell time! 😮
🏖️ If you go to the beach with the family and pitch your umbrella in the sand, you can get a basic understanding of how sundials work. As you enjoy the afternoon by the ocean, you may notice how the shadow your umbrella casts on the sand changes throughout the day. Without even looking at your watch, you probably know when it’s time to head home by where the Sun is in the sky and the position of your umbrella’s shadow. ⛱️🌊🌌
💡 Smart Bites are now called STEM Bites! 🧠
✨ This is a new chapter and Science Boy is still experimenting to get the format just right! 👌 He is still very young and has lots to learn and progress... 😇
👨🔬 Please be patient until intro text of the video matches this change! 😊 (9 episodes lol) 😂 Creating content is not easy, please show some support for Science Boy who is always trying his best and wants to make a difference in the World! ❤️🌎
👨🔬 Summer Solstice will be celebrated at Stonehenge from 19:00 hours on Tue 20 June to 08:00 hours on Wed 21 June! 🌞
✨ I've made this video a while back when my friend @stem_with_stephanie challenged me on the Stonehenge subject. 🤔
📝 This was my hypothesis and Steph also had a very cool hypothesis. 👽 What better time to post than right now when the Summer Solstice is being celebrated! 🥳 Who is excited about Summer? 🎉
🚀 The epic quest to build a permanent Moon base! How do you Terraform the Moon? 🌕
👨🚀 The handful of astronauts who have set foot on the Moon spent as little as a day on the surface. How do you build a settlement that will last for years? 👨🔬 Science Boy is mapping what are the steps to build a permanent Moon base and what it takes to make the Moon more like Earth. ✨ Science Boy is very excited about these amazing @nasa, @esa developments! ⭐ Go team Artemis! ⭐

Science Boy talks about his favorite Carnivorous Plants! About 70 million years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, a genetic anomaly allowed some plants to turn into meat eaters. This was done in part, with a stealthy trick: repurposing genes meant for their roots and leaves and using them instead to catch prey, a new study finds.

Can nuclear fusion reactors save the world? The process is called nuclear fusion. Nuclear fusion works by forcing atoms together in order to release energy. In some ways fusion has all the advantages of nuclear fission without any of the drawbacks like risk of meltdown or long-lived radioactive waste. Scientists believe that if fusion technology can be successfully harnessed as a human energy source, it could help save the world from future environmental catastrophe. Proponents of nuclear fusion believe it will end the world's dependence on fossil fuels once and forever.

A crash course with Science Boy on high-mass stars and the fusion stages they go through. Stars fuse light elements to heavier ones in their cores, giving off energy in the process known as stellar nucleosynthesis. Stellar nucleosynthesis is the creation of chemical elements by nuclear fusion reactions within stars. Element formation in our universe relies on nuclear fusion reactions.

You've heard we're all made of stardust... We're magical beings of light! We asked Science Boy if he could be a star which star would he be? There are countless stars glittering in our night sky so the options are also countless. Some stars shine a little brighter than others, so the brightness level from one star to the next can be significantly different. There are other features stars have that make a star different. Stars may differ from one another in mass, size, temperature, color, age, luminosity, and composition. Check this short video from Science Boy to find out what kind of star would he be if he could be a real star in the sky!

Science Boy tackles the very interesting subject of Terraforming Mars!
Terraforming Mars is a hypothetical procedure that would consist of a planetary engineering project with the goal of transforming the planet from one hostile to terrestrial life to one that can sustainably host humans and other lifeforms. Could we transform Mars from the cold dry desert it is today into a more Earth-like, capable of supporting terrestrial-type life? Science Boy thinks so... Nothing is impossible with science. Science Boy believes is possible in the future to take an inhospitable planet and make it suitable for life. Future explorers will build colonies on Mars and transform the planet to our advantage.

Stellar evolution is the process by which a star changes over the course of time. Stellar evolution is inevitable as stars deplete their initial fuel sources. Science Boy talks about the stages of evolution of our Sun. Within the interior of stars, fusion creates new elements from the basic elements (H, He). The search for new fuel sources affects the properties of stars as they evolve. This evolution is a process that consists of many different stages with fuel consumption as the dominant life cycles of an evolving star. While this process takes billions of years as measured by human standards, the life of a star is minor in comparison to the age of the universe. The stages in the life cycle of stars are a vital part in the formation of galaxies, new stars and planetary systems.

A 7 year old Science Boy brilliantly explains string theory using an apple! In physics, string theory is a theoretical framework in which the point-like particles of particle physics are replaced by one-dimensional objects called strings. String theory describes how these strings propagate through space and interact with each other. String theory is a broad and varied subject that attempts to address a number of deep questions of fundamental physics.

Science Boy talking about the Grand Tack The Grand Tack is a scenario for early inner Solar System evolution. The `Grand Tack' model proposes that the inner Solar System was sculpted by the giant planets' orbital migration in the gaseous protoplanetary disk. Jupiter first migrated inward then Jupiter and Saturn migrated back outward together. There is a good deal of debate on the physical mechanism governing the very early stages in our solar system formation. Science Boy also formulated his own theory about Pluto and how Pluto settled down it's orbit after being affected by Jupiter and Saturn.
