You may not think of it as an adventure, but being a follower of Jesus could be described as life's Greatest Adventure. If you are familiar with J R R Tolkien's book, The Hobbit, you might remember Bilbo's response to the offer of going on a great adventure. When invited by the Wizard Gandalf his initial response was - “I should think so-in these parts! We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!” Bilbo eventually gives in and joins in the adventure that eventually saves Middle Earth. Our invitation from Jesus is an even greater adventure. One filled with personal transformation, intimacy with God, and eternal significance for others. I hope you'll join the adventure, there is a place for everyone.
