The BS (aka Bamboo Star) Podcast is a platform for individuals to discuss and document the experiences and thoughts of Chinese people growing up within a western culture. These individuals are commonly referred to as a slang term, 'Jook Sing' (in Cantonese) which means they don't fully belong to either Chinese or Western culture. This term has a somewhat negative/derogatory connotation, but we hope through this platform, we can grow to accept this term and show that 'Jook Sings' are perhaps a vital link between both cultures. Our podcast hopes that through our candid banter, we are able to bring awareness, understanding, and some entertainment to our audience.
