Napa Valley Sports is a sports media company located in the beautiful Napa Valley. Our podcast covers the events of the local high schools playing in the VVAL (Vine Valley Athletic League), and Prolific Prep basketball. Prolific Prep plays a national schedule and is one of the top prep school basketball programs in the country. On Mondays we have our Monday Morning Sports Report covering the highlights of the previous weeks local high school, college and pro events. We also have a pro sports episode on Fridays with co-host Daniel Poulter a local sportswriter based in the North Bay talking about NFL, MLB, and NBA.
Coach Bernardi stops in the studio this morning with Rick to talk about Prolific Prep training camp. Ryan and Rick also discuss the upcoming two home games this weekend against teams from Canada as well as living and running a basketball program in Napa Valley.
Coach Ryan Bernardi was in studio today with his assistant coaches Caleb Vanderburg and Matt Handy. The "North Carolina three" discuss with Rick what it has been like for them in their first few months in California, plus the big win in Las Vegas at the Border League Super 16 event. This is episode #1 of a weekly podcast we will be having with coach Bernardi over the entire 2022-23 Prolific Prep season.

The current Rutgers Scarlett Knight talks with Daniel and Rick about his time at Prolific Prep his first two years at Rutgers and his take on the NBA. Co-founder and general manager of the Prolific Prep of Napa Christian basketball program Philippe Doherty and new head coach Ryan Bernardi join Rick on the podcast this afternoon. Coach Josh DeGarmo from Vintage High School Boys Lacrosse is in the studio today talking Vine Valley Athletic League lacrosse. Coach DeGarmo is joined by Donovan Waters, Tanner Low, and Luke Haeuser from his varsity squad. The boys and Coach DeGarmo discuss the origination of lacrosse at Vintage with Rick as well as the boys careers in junior lacrosse. and the teams current season in the VVAL.

The Vintage High and Cal Bear pitcher talks with Rick and Jackson about his baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization , his time at Cal Berkeley and his high school days with Rich Anderson and the Vintage Crushers. Jacob Ray from the American Legion 19U baseball team joined Rick and Jackson in studio this afternoon. Jacob has coached baseball in the Napa Valley for over 15 years and is a past President of Napa Little League. They discussed the 19U season, the Around the Horn Baseball Classic, Napa Little League and the Napa Valley Niners travel ball club.
We introduce our new co-host today Jackson Cole. Jackson is a great young man who played varsity baseball and tennis at Vintage High School and just graduated this past June. Rick and Jackson discuss the Around the Horn Baseball Classic, Jackson playing tennis with his Dad and his favorite teams. It's going to be fun having Jackson part of the show the next year.
Philippe Doherty co-founder of Prolific Prep basketball stops in the studio today to talk about the Prolific Prep program. Philippe and Rick discuss how the program was founded, the support of the Napa Valley community and the six McDonalds All Americans the program has had in 8 years.
Josh McCormick and Logan Nothmann from Vintage varsity basketball join Rick in the studio this afternoon. The boys discuss their current season with the Crushers as well as when they started playing ball and a lot more. Great interview with these two athletes whose senior season has been effected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
AJ, Kullen and Rick talk about the amazing 2 finals games last night in the Grind Session World Championship that were played at the Phhacility in Phoenix Arizona. The Phoenix Prep girls team won the first ever girls Grind Session Championship followed by a last second buzzer beater from AZ Compass to win the boys title.
AJ, Kullen, and Rick have special guest host Casey Autenrieth head coach at St Louis Christian Academy join them to discuss the final four. AJ an alumni of SLCA first discusses the season with Coach Casey before the guys dive into yesterdays games.
