As human beings, we are inherently social creatures. We crave connection and community, and finding our people is an essential part of feeling fulfilled and happy in life. For women, this can be especially true, as we often carry the weight of caring for others, whether that be as a mother, daughter, sister, or friend. In particular, for moms, finding friends and people they can trust is essential for their well-being and the well-being of their family.
Motherhood can be an isolating experience, especially for new moms. The demands of caring for a newborn, coupled with the physical and emotional tolls of childbirth, can leave moms feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. In addition, the shift in priorities that comes with having a child can make it difficult to maintain existing friendships, and the prospect of making new ones can be daunting.
However, having a supportive network of friends is crucial for moms. These are the people who will cheer you on during the tough days and celebrate your victories, big or small. They are the ones you can turn to for advice, a shoulder to cry on, or just some much-needed adult conversation.
But finding these friends isn't always easy. It can be hard to feel comfortable enough with people to show all our sides, especially when we are navigating the challenges of motherhood. There can be pressure to present a picture-perfect image, to hide our struggles and pretend everything is going smoothly. But when we do find people we can trust, who we feel safe enough to be vulnerable with, it is a truly beautiful thing.
When we allow ourselves to be seen and known, flaws and all, we open ourselves up to deeper connections and richer relationships. We find people who can relate to our experiences, who can offer empathy and understanding, and who can share in the joys and struggles of motherhood with us. These are the people who become our tribe, our village, our chosen family.
So, to all the moms out there, know that finding your people is worth the effort. It may take some time and a bit of vulnerability, but the rewards are immeasurable. Seek out opportunities to connect with other moms, whether that be through mommy and me classes, playgroups, or online communities. Don't be afraid to be yourself and share your truth. The right people will love and support you for who you are, and together, you can navigate the ups and downs of motherhood, one day at a time.

The term "girl boss" has become a popular buzzword in recent years, often used to describe women who have achieved success in their careers through hard work, determination, and a strong sense of self. Being a girl boss is about owning your power and creating your own path, rather than waiting for someone else to give you permission to succeed.
One key aspect of being a girl boss is having the freedom to pursue your passions and create a career that aligns with your values and goals. This can involve starting your own business, pursuing a non-traditional career path, or advocating for change within your current industry.
Achieving career freedom as a girl boss often requires a combination of confidence, creativity, and perseverance. It may mean taking risks and stepping outside of your comfort zone, but it can also lead to greater fulfillment and success in the long run.
Ultimately, being a girl boss means taking charge of your career and creating the life you want, on your own terms. It's about embracing your strengths and talents, setting goals that excite you, and staying committed to your vision, no matter what challenges may arise.

Becoming a mom does mean you change. Doesn't mean you lost who you were or are, but we all go through that caterpillar morphoses moment to becoming a butterfly.
Being a mom adds so much strength, patience, and love into who we are that we don't realize it until the years down the road. Trust me, took me too long to realize how amazing I am after having my kids. I always hear that Flamingos lose their color pink after having a kid, but they slowly gain it back. I think that is the best way to explain having a baby and raising your family. We get caught up in being a mom and caring for our little ones that alot of stuff we love to do and our passions get put on the back burner. BUT THATS OKAY!
This is only a season, your baby is only going to be this small once, accept and enjoy this time. You don't need to rush in finding yourself again or making yourself fit into the world's standard of success.
I am enjoying my time with my little little and when I am ready, I will fall back in love with my passions and maybe some new ones. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Stop rushing it.
As time goes, make those boundaries, make time for you, quality time with your spouse. That will help you reset and decompress so you can enjoy those moments with your family even more.

Some life updates as I go back to work from having Skylar.
There will be so much change in this next year as we learn to live as a family of four. I and my husband have new passions and dreams we are striving for. We will have a new home by the end of the year. Just so many fun things coming up!
Even though these 2 months were so special, they came with so many challenges that I never thought we would face. Things that I and my husband never thought were issues, started to come to a head and we realized we had a lot of unresolved issues in our marriage and our relationship. This time was a time of rest but also a time to work on ourselves and our marriage.
No one is perfect but marriage has become something that you do rather than a promise for the rest of your life. I have so many friends whose marriages are ending after only a few short years together and it is getting so hard to see relationships make it.

Why are we so quick to have an all-or-nothing approach to life? This mindset can have extremely detrimental effects of us, especially those of us who struggle with executive functioning, ADHD, and other similar things. I realized that I don't have to pick between doing it all or doing nothing at all. I can do SOME and that is ok because I am closer to my goals than I was before. I want to share my tips with you and encourage you that you can meet your goals, getting there just might not look like how you think it will or how society has made it seem like it should.

It is important to be aware of the rights and resources available to women and to use them to empower ourselves, both personally and professionally. We must strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all women, so that we may all thrive and reach our full potential.
Absolutely! Women have the right to make their own choices and pursue their own paths in life. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to living, and each woman should be supported in whatever choice she makes. From career paths to lifestyle choices, women should be empowered to make their own decisions without fear of judgment or criticism.
Most of the time, women try to put 150% effort into every aspect of their lives every day. And that is just not realistic! Come and relax with an open mind to hear from 2 full-time moms and career-oriented women and how to balance it all.

Every day is a struggle. I wake up and I already feel exhausted from the day. No, the whole week.
I am already thinking about all the things I need to accomplish. Mom guilt will slowly creep in. I am not doing enough.... I have so much I need to do for work...etc
Why are we wasting our days with these thoughts? Why are we allowing this negativity and discouragement to fill our lives?
Stop..it's time to change our perspective and focus on the good.
Enjoy all those little moments, the smiles and laughter. I don't know about you but I am tired of people acting like kids only bring trouble and stress into our lives. I am tired of thinking that it makes my life harder to have kids. It's not easy at times but more than anything, it brings so much fun and excitement.
I want to spend all my days with love and hugs. I want butterflies and rainbows. And dang gone it! I am going to fill my days with butterflies and rainbows.
As a mom, it can be difficult to find time to reflect on our lives and take a step back to shift our perspectives. However, it is important to take the time to do so in order to gain clarity and a better understanding of ourselves and our roles as mothers. One way to do this is to take a few moments each day to pause and reflect on the day or week. This can be done through journaling, meditating, or simply taking a few deep breaths and being mindful of the present moment. It can also be helpful to engage in activities that bring joy and relaxation, such as taking a walk, reading a book, or listening to music. Taking the time to engage in activities that bring peace and reflection can help us to gain a new perspective on our lives as moms.

I had a very "crappy" weekend (pun intended!) and while I let it get to me, I was quickly humbled by something I scrolled upon through social media. I realized that I was letting those things get to me, and I mean really get to me. It was changing my entire mood and how I interacted with and spoke to my children. It was NOT worth it. Join me as I discuss why it wasn't worth it, what I saw on social media, and what I am planning to do instead.

How can we give ourselves grace? How can we change ourselves for the better? For our sanity? For our friends and family?
Not being our own critic
Setting boundaries
Saying NO
Saying Yes to more oppurtunities
Surrounding yourselves with positive people and a positive environment
Remember- You can be yourself and be free to be you and not get caught up in discouragement.

2023 means a new year. Wether you are looking at this year as a clean slate or it's just another year for you. You don't need a new year to make goals and reach for them. We all deal with struggles and sometimes, thinking outside of the box can make our lives easier.
I just had a baby and now a mom of 2. Giving myself grace is one way I am making my life easier.
