Following the 10 commandments can bring us happiness, stability, peace, joy and more. Not following them can have some serious repercussion.

The seven corportal works of mercy told as a story:
1. feed the hungry,
2. give drink to the thirsty,
3. clothe the naked,
4. give shelter to travellers/homeless,
5. visit the sick,
6. visit the imprisoned, and
7. bury the dead.
By looking at just a few stories from the Old Testament, I convinced myself that the Eucharist is not a symbol but the actual body of Christ. Makes perfect sense to me. Here's why.

We all remember how difficult we had it while we tried figuring out who we were. Our kids will or are already stuggling with that question. Here's one suggestion on how to get this point across: be yourself.
It can be difficult to keep the faith when you feel abandoned by God. But, if you know what's going on, it's way easier. St. John of the Cross calls it the Dark Night of the Soul.

Confronted with people that we disagree with, the temptation is to outcast rather than accept and love. Is it really possible to hate the sin but love the person who is committing that sin?

It's not difficult to correct our children when they are confused about what is a boy and what is a girl. Small corrections wins the day.
What is the meaning of Advent? What should we be doing during this? It's a penitential time so God is asking us to turn away from sin and turn back towards Him.
Heavenly Father, please bless this little tree and let it us help us to prepare for the coming of your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Let each ornament remind us that we are to increase our charity, increase our prayers and increase our love.
May each light remind us that though we are many, each of us is called individually by you to be a light unto this world.
As we gather round this tree, let it remind me to mend any brokenness in my family and forgive those things that may be keeping us apart.
We pray for those who do not have a little tree in their home. We pray that we our open to give to them as abundantly as you, Lord God, have given to us. Amen.

Little instances throughout our lives give us the opportunity to be an angel for others. But do we see them? Our we in-tune with our family, friends or strangers?
What does it take to care of our families? Is it just the financials? Let's dive into the three pillars of our responsibilities.
Were you married in the Catholic church but then decide to get divorced? Many people don't know that they are still married under the Catholic Church and under the eyes of God because they ONLY got divorced civilly and did not seek an annulment. What is an annulment and is it the same thing as divorce? There is no divorce in the eyes of God. Whatever He puts together, let no man put asunder. However, what if it wasn't a valid marriage to begin with? Also, what happens to the kids if your marriage is annulled. Please don't miss this episode if you are divorced and don't know the answer to these questions.
Things get really tough sometimes and we want to stay strong in our faith but wow, it's so tough to see God working. What then? How do we keep the faith? By trusting that God has something greater not just for you but for all of us.

I often thought that praying was enough but it isn't. Look at the wedding at Cana, feeding of the 5000, Peter walking on water. All of these required collaboration with God. Can God do a miracle without you? Yes, but He prefers that you work with him.
