Psalm 118:1-18
Proverbs 28:2
AFFIRMATION: I can’t change the past, but I also can’t let it rob me of my present peace, or steal the joy of my future.
APHORISM: A man should conceive of a legitimate purpose in his heart, and set out to accomplish it. He should make this purpose the centralizing point of his thoughts. It may take the form of a spiritual ideal, or it may be a worldly object, according to his nature at the time being; but whichever it is, he should steadily focus his thought forces upon the object which he has set before him. He should make this purpose his supreme duty, and should devote himself to its attainment, not allowing his thoughts to wander away into ephemeral fancies, longings, and imaginings. This is the royal road to self-control and true concentration of thought. Even if he fails again and again to accomplish his purpose (as he necessarily must until weakness is overcome), the strength of character gained will be the measure of his true success, and this will form a new starting point for future power and triumph. ~James Allen

AFFIRMATION: I am great, because God is great in me. He has created me in his image and likeness, and he has called me by his name. He has given me his grace and his gifts, and he has prepared me for his purpose. He has made me a part of his story and his kingdom, and he has promised me his presence and his power. I will not boast in myself, but in the Lord, who is my strength and my salvation. I will not be proud or arrogant, but humble and grateful. I will not be selfish or greedy, but generous and loving. Proverbs 25:25-27
AFFIRMATION: That inner sense of unease when things don't feel right - it is the voice of God within me, guiding me to truth. Those flickers of insight and unsettled feelings in my core are messages from the Holy Spirit, who knows the path I should walk.
This gift of spiritual intuition is a blessing, desiring only my best according to God's perfect will. Though often gently spoken, the Spirit's promptings are vital for me to heed. I must learn to appreciate each quiet nudge, whether it be a timely warning, peaceful assurance, or subtle restraint.
I choose to trust the Spirit's inner wisdom, not brush it aside. For even when my understanding lags, the Spirit knows the way. I embrace these holy instincts as guideposts from heaven, not obstacles in my path. By listening closely when that still, small voice within speaks up, I allow godly discernment to direct my steps into the fullness of joy and purpose God intends.
APHORISM: A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch but on its own wings.

Resources on Biblical Womanhood
The Bible vs. Biblical Womanhood : How God's Word Consistently Affirms Gender Equality - A biblical defense of egalitarianism that relies on Scripture to affirm gender equality in the church and in the home. It examines 14 Bible passages throughout the Old and New Testaments, using careful exploration of Greek and Hebrew word meanings, historical and cultural context, and examples from Scripture.
Discovering Biblical Equality: Complementarity Without Hierarchy by Ronald W. Pierce and Rebecca Merrill Groothuis - This is a collaborative and comprehensive book that advocates for an egalitarian view of gender equality in the church and society. It covers various topics such as biblical interpretation, theology, history, ethics, psychology, sociology, and spirituality.
How God Sees Women: The End of Patriarchy by Terran Williams - Argues for an egalitarian view of gender equality in the church and society, based on a careful examination of Scripture. The book also challenges the traditional complementarian view that affirms distinct roles and authority for men and women, based on a selective and biased interpretation of Scripture. The book covers various topics such as biblical exegesis, theology, history, culture, science, education, marriage, family, and ministry.
Two Views on Women in Ministry (Counterpoints: Bible and Theology) - This is a dialogical and respectful book that presents two views on women’s roles in ministry: an egalitarian view by Linda L. Belleville and Craig L. Blomberg, and a complementarian view by Craig S. Keener and Thomas R. Schreiner.

And if I concentrate on how bad I am or how wrong I am or how inadequate I am, if I concentrate on what I can't do and how there's not enough time in which to do it, isn't that what I get every time? And when I think about how powerful I am, and when I think about what I have left to contribute, and when I think about the difference I can make on this planet, then that's what I get. Ephesians 4:1-16
Psalm 68:19-35
Proverbs 24:3-4
AFFIRMATION: Goodbye guilt, goodbye shame, goodbye fear, goodbye doubt. Hello love, hello joy, hello forgiveness, hey thanks!
APHORISM: Shame is closely related to guilt, but there is a key qualitative difference. No audience is needed for feelings of guilt, no one else need know, for the guilty person is his own judge. Not so for shame. The humiliation of shame requires disapproval or ridicule by others. If no one ever learns of a misdeed there will be no shame, but there still might be guilt. Of course, there may be both. The distinction between shame and guilt is very important, since these two emotions may tear a person in opposite directions. The wish to relieve guilt may motivate a confession, but the wish to avoid the humiliation of shame may prevent it. ~Paul Ekman

Proverbs 20:24-25
AFFIRMATION:
I am the boss, yes it's true,
Of each thought that I think, old or new.
My thoughts aren't me, they’re a part of my mind,
I can choose the ones I want, and leave the rest behind.
A thought may come, a thought may go,
Some are high and some are low.
Some are green and some are blue.
Some are false, and some are true.
I choose the thoughts that come to play,
Some I invite, some I shoo away.
A thought can be fun, a thought can cut too.
But I am not my thoughts, I thought you knew.
My thoughts and I, we're not the same,
"Thought-Boss" might as well be my name.
I choose my thoughts, each and every day,
And surely, that's the Jennifer way.
