I was not yet part of Hive family when typhoon Odette happened here in Cebu, Philippines. I considered that as one of the worst

nightmare that I had in my entire life. I never knew that this would ever happen to Cebu.

Now, I'm gonna be sharing to you the happenings during that time. I captured these clips after the typhoon. I was so eager that time to check my family in our province but I failed on my first attempt since some of the areas were not passable that time. It just breaks my heart to see everyone struggling during those times.

Moving forward, I am very grateful to God that I didn't give up even at the most difficult moments of my life. My faith to God was strengthened even more. Seeing Cebu now bouncing back is such a blessing.

No matter how strong we are as a person, there will be days that we will feel lost.

when I felt lost at some point in life. When I experienced quarter-life-crisis, this place really helped

me a lot to gain that motivation and INSPIRATION again to move forward in life.

I know some of your days may be good.

Some of it may be bad, but always remember that life is still BEAUTIFUL most especially

when you keep your faith to GOD. Some of our dreams may put on hold for now,

but always remember that God's plan will always prevail in the end.

If you’ve been into a Filipino fiestas, birthdays, anniversaries and any other special occasions, you’ll probably have seen a LECHON or the famous “Lechon de Leche.” Lechon is one of the most popular dishes in Filipino food culture. When you hear the word CEBU, PHILIPPINES this place is known for having the best lechon. The Cebuano version of lechon involves removing of the inside parts of the pig, and then stuffing it with different spices such as lemon grass, garlic, laurel, onion leaks and other spices to make it more flavorful. After all spices are complete, then it’s time to roast it with charcoals. You need to twist it again and again for about 4 hours for it to be cooked fairly on all parts of the pig.

With Cebu’s Lechon de Leche menu, you will surely love its savory aroma, crispy skin and flavorful tender meat of roasted pig. You could actually pair this with “PUSO” (hanging rice in English term) or with a plain rice.

Last Sunday, my youngest brother just celebrated his 21st Birthday. It is the “debut” stage for men. My family and I prepared a surprise for him in our province in Argao, Cebu, Philippines. I’m just amazed how time flies. God knows how grateful we are as a family when my brother was given a second life few years ago. He was battling with dengue when he was still a baby and we really thought that we’ll gonna lose him that time. However, we didn’t lose hope and we prayed so hard to God to heal my brother. He was given a second life then that’s why every birthday of him means so much to us. We really make it to a point to celebrate his Birthday every year no matter how simple it may be.

We celebrated the Birthday of my brother with family, relatives and friends. We are just so happy seeing everyone enjoying the celebration. Upon looking into the eyes of my parents and my family, I told myself that this was the life that I prayed for few years ago. We are so grateful to God for all the blessings He has given to us.
