Life can be a lot. More than a lot. In today's episode I tackle the idea of "doing too much," and the idea of letting go and allowing life to lead you. Trauma show can up in ways we wouldn't consider, and the last few years have pushed many of us to the brink. Hell, I barely recongize myself these days, and I know I'm not alone. I'm still trying to find my "new normal," and it took me a while to accept being in this season, but it's okay. I hope you enjoy episode!

Happy 2023! In this episode i discuss the ways in which we often hide ourselves from ourselves with "stuff." Keep listening to learn how I'm "finding my way back."
In this week's episode I dive into some of criticism of the #gentleparenting movement. While I am 100% in support of conscious parenting (also known as gentle parenting), I recognize how the way in which this form of parenting is displayed on social media can be off-putting. I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge some of the ways I have been a part of the problem with this community. Can't wait to hear what you think!
Trigger Warning: Suicidal Ideation|Self Harm
This week's episode dives into why it's important to not only validate your child's feelings, but to also help your child process those feelings. We often label children as "sensitive" and then hurl that word around like a slur. This behavior can be hurtful and dangerous to the psyche of the child. I discuss, quite openly the effects of this kind of behavior has had on me and how it profoundly affected my life.
In Today's episode I dive into my recovery as a people pleaser. I consider the move to completely change this pattern of behavior to be revolutionary. It's the most freeing reward I've given to myself while on this healing journey. I truly hope the words spoken here inspire you to change the way you treat yourself and your children. As we know, what we tell our childre, what we teach them to be, is who they will be. So if we teach children to put their needs second to those of other people, then it stands to reason they will become adults who do not know how to put themselves first.
We're back with another episode of the Consciously Lisa Podcast. In this week's episode I discuss the toxic work place that led me down to discover why I am who I am, which ultimately translates to why I began my journey towards consciousness. I hope what I share here resonates with you as you journey down your own path of enlightenment.
