Jesus says that there is a ripe harvest out there. The person who harvests it harvests for eternal life. What does he mean? This week we continue last week's story of Jesus meeting a Samaritan woman at a well, and we explore what this means for our own church in our own city -- what our Mission, Vision, and Values are.
To be marginalized and ostracized is to know a life of hardship and hardening, a life of attempting to meet our needs as best we can with results that are less than satisfying. This week in John 4 we see Jesus connecting with a Samaritan woman, an outcast living just such a life, and he offers her water that will satisfy. What does that mean?
