In I Samuel 4 we see the Israelite army deceived into thinking they have God's presence, only to discover the next day that the glory or the Lord had departed. Christians today make the same mistake, believing God is blessing, when He is not.
Familiarity breeds inappropriate behavior, which will lead down the road of immorality. We need to learn how to behave in the House of God.
God's work is not our responsibility, it is our privilege. Getting this wrong always leads to compromise.

Long prayers are evidence of a lack of righteousness and a lack of belief. Pray means to ask, and to ask over and over is to nag. Nearly all effective prayers in the Bible are precise and concise.
Proverbs 11:30 says, "He that winneth souls is wise." Sadly, many who can coerce someone into a sinners prayer are revered as wise, when in reality they are just good salesmen. Soul winners should not be salesmen.

Lets talk about some of the verses that critics use against Christians in Leviticus 19. What about mixed fabrics, and mixed breeding cattle, and mixed seed in the field?
God is a God of hate as defined in the Bible. To the degree that we love we will also hate, as God hates. We are commanded to hate iniquity and every false way. God hates those that bear false witness and those that sow discord among the brethren (Proverbs 6)
Christians are commanded to be angry. Just as we are supposed to rejoice, we are to purposefully be angry. Anger is something we can and should control, or else we will be controlled by our anger.
Mental Health by and large is a hoax. The mind doesn't get sick like the body does. Mental distress is spiritual in nature, and needs a spiritual solution from the Word of God. Pill pushers and therapists educated in atheistic psychiatry are not the answer.

Most Independent Baptist Pastors are compromisers. Yes, they say the same thing, but now they say it with qualifiers. They talk about getting Biden out of office, when we should be talking about how we are going to get these "qualifiers" out of office.

I cannot believe that haters hate the truth so much they are against me saying that if a crime in committed in an IFB church then it should be reported to the police. Sadly we are quick to believe gossip, negative information, and unsubstantiated claims. The Bible says, "love covereth all sins" and "he that covereth a transgression seeketh love." We should not believe accusations, slander, or gossip.
Why does a loving God permit evil? To the atheist, this is their trump card; but the atheist's position is unsustainable as we shall see.
Many Christians do not understand the true tactics of Satan. The Bible admonishes us not to be "ignorant of his devices." Satan's great threat is that he is a master counterfeiter and presents truth with a little bit of poison. He presents himself as an angel of light, and many followers of Satan are "good" people.
God's work should be funded through the free will tithes and offerings of the church members. When we start trying to use gimmicks and methods to boost giving, we are getting away from God's plan. The Bible says some have coveted after money and erred from the faith.
The faith-based and correct understanding of Revelation is to take it literally and chronologically. Other interpretations are the result of taking liberties with God's Word, and are rooted in doubt rather than faith. Revelation and all of the Bible, should never be interpreted in light of current events, but rather we should interpret current events in light of the Bible.
Eleven biblical teachings that are directly related to, and directly affect physical health. Living right is true healthcare. And much sickness is caused by a lifetime of rebellion to, or ignoring God's Word.

The only mistake is our approaching the perfect word of God as a cynic, and judging it by our understanding. The Bible stands alone and transcends all human reasoning.

Scholars are all too often unsaved people whose final authority is history, culture, Greek, Hebrew, and science. Scholarship as it is usually understood is the enemy of childlike faith. A man of faith will be led by the Spirit to the Scriptures. A scholar will be led by skepticism beyond the Scriptures.
The Bible is the real battleground. Sadly, many Baptists are on a slippery slope of Bible denial and are trying to make the Bible fit into a godless science falsely-so-called.
There is no KJV controversy. There is a Preservation controversy. The issue is not which version of the Bible is God's Word. The issue is whether or not God has the power to preserve His Word. Check out this informative podcast.

Let's talk about what ails modern Christianity. Sadly, Christianity by and large has forsaken holy living for a perverted teaching on the grace of God. The woke crowd doesn't see the problem of racism, but rather they see racism as the only problem. It is the duty of every true preacher of God to cry against thids evil that has permeated every level of culture and government!
The devil will do anything to make you think you are right with God. If you are living in sin stop praising God for your prosperity.
Part II on finances. Money is the most referenced subject in the Bible. God wants us to be well off financially. There are many verses that clearly teach that. If we live right and obey Bible principles, we will be blessed. This is not prosperity Gospel teaching, although there is some overlap. The difference is what the focus is. Seeking first the Kingdom of God brings wealth. Seeking wealth brings sin. Follow the ten commandments of financial freedom, because it is the right thing to do, and God's blessings will follow.
Face it, financial problems are the result of spiritual problems. If you are living pay check to pay check, you have spiritual problems. If you pay the IRS for the rapid return you have spiritual problems. If you plan your retirement with your inheritance in mind, you have spiritual problems. If you declare bankruptcy you have spiritual problems. If you don't keep a zero balance on your credit cards you have spiritual problems. A Christian should be well off financially. The Bible makes it clear that God is going to provide you with more than enough to live the life that He has called you to live. If you are in God's will and content, not covetous, you will not have financial problems. Most of the money problems that Christians struggle with are the result of ignoring clear Bible teaching. Jesus spoke on money more than anything else. If you're not obeying God's Word how can you claim that God is blessing you? If you are being "blessed," you are being blessed of the devil.

First let us say, we are heartbroken and grieve for the loss of life in the recent shooting. The families are in our thoughts and prayers. We want to shed some Biblical light on a dark subject and a raging debate. Democrats fight with republicans, conservatives fight with liberals. The debate rages over gun control versus addressing mental illness. Both sides of the debate are misguided and lost. Gun control is an infringement on the 2nd amendment and only serves to disarm the innocent and arm the criminals. Trying to solve gun violence through mental health care is equally foolish. The mental health industry is a scam and based on anti-biblical philosophy. The hope lies in a return to biblical morality and salvation in Jesus Christ which gives a renewed mind.

The Bible has a lot to say about what we wear. Like music, dress standards can be a gray area. It is hard to draw hard, fast lines from the Bible. However the Bible makes it clear there is an apparel that is "strange" (Zephaniah 1:8). There is an "attire of a harlot" (Proverbs 7:10). The Bible has much to say about what we wear. The problem is that many want to dismiss the plain and literal interpretation of the Bible and strip it of its power and application.
How can you say that you believe Christ, but deny His Word? If you say that Bible has errors, then you are saying Christ has errors, because His Name is Called the Word of God. If you trust Christ, and you are calling upon the Name of the Lord, then you are trusting the Bible. How can you trust God's Word and change God's Word at the same time?
It's not White Supremacy; it's Right Supremacy. If you stand with Christ and you believe in the sanctity of life and liberty you are a White Supremacist. The left is trying to destroy what is right. Puberty blockers are wrong. Homosexuality is wrong. Adultery is wrong. Racism is wrong.
We sit down and discuss an article that supposedly addresses an inconsistency in desiring the "old time religion." What exactly is the old time religion? Can it be found in the independent Baptist movement. Should we get back to the "old paths"? Most criticism of conservative churches comes down to dress standards and music standards. Everyone has standards. When we try to ignore standards of holiness, whether in the home or the church, they will become a problem that we will have to deal with eventually. So we might as well just keep the standards high.

Music is a gray area. Trying to define right and wrong music always seems to bring us to a dead end. There is little in the Bible that defines right and wrong music. Much of the preaching on music is subjective and inconsistent. The right kind of music is the result of the right heart. It is a personal decision each individual must make, and to do so, we must be right with God and walking in the Spirit.
Communism is birthed out of socialism, and socialism is birthed out of theological liberalism. We wouldn't have the problems we are having today if preachers would stop shaking people's faith in the Word of God.
The source of all liberalism is a poor handling of the Word of God. When we question God's Word, we are making our own understanding the final authority. The Bible says "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 16:25) A correct regard for God's Word will lead a person to trust that God has preserved His perfect Word for us today. We reject any doctrine that would attempt to erode this trust.
For America, it will either be revival or revolution. There will be no survival without revival. Pastor Hudson has always preached on revival, and strongly emphasized the need for national revival since the Covid scam began. Churches have bowed the knee to the false god of government and showed their true lukewarm condition. We desperately need revival. Is the movement at Asbury the beginnings of revival? What does the Bible say about revival? Does Asbury check those boxes?

There is a difference between the historical definition of Doctor and the "Medicine Men" of today. God heals, not medicine. Why can't we just believe what the Bible says? Physical problems have a spiritual root cause. Many Christians are just practical atheists - in practice, we don't believe God. We just need to get back to the Bible. That will bring health!
Satan and our enemies would love nothing more than for America to self-destruct. China is doing everything it can to infiltrate American infrastructure and government and undermine American values. A recent University of California study found that over half of Americans believe that we will have another civil war within the next ten years. The founding fathers predicted another civil war in the Declaration of Independence. Jesus predicted civil war when a house is divided. America is divided and polarized. The truth is we are already in a civil fought with ideas, lies, and propaganda. The battlefields on which this war is fought is colleges, churches, and congress.
Men are to be the spiritual leaders of the home. Men are to lead their wives and children. The absence of the man in his God-given role in the home in detrimental to the home and society. The breakdown of society is a direct reflection of the breakdown of the home. It all started with the subtle confusion of the roles of men and woman. Woman are to do the domestic work, men are to work outside the home. Men are to be the provider and protecter of the home. Men need to learn how to love their wives. Wives need to learn to submit to their husband. If we can get back to a godly home, we can rebuild godly society.
Laziness is the curse of this age. Being a mother and home-maker is hard work. Lazy husbands and fathers need to get right with God. Is the church enough or not? Early Christians and churches didn't have all of these seminars and conferences. You can fix your marriage anywhere and anytime. You don't need to spend a lot of money and hear from a special speaker to do so. It just comes down to repentance. We are so eager to complicate our situation and problems. The problem is simple and the solution is repentance. We read from a public school home economics course from 1950. What the public school taught 70 years ago is more conservative than what most baptist churches are teaching and preaching today! For a man or a woman to neglect the responsibilities of their God-given roles is to forfeit the highest calling. The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity. Are we supposed to change the world, or just live quiet lives of faithfulness and obedience? Success is not numbers, but rather obedience regardless of the outcome.
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Many if not most of society's ills are a result of Satan's attack on the home. Controversial and inflammatory preaching was just common sense fifty or sixty years ago. It use to be that society understood and reinforced the proper roles in the home. A woman's place is in the home. The reversal of God's design is the result of man's rebellion. We listen to Pastor Hudson's Sunday School lesson on marriage. Charity, not compromise, is God's desire for marriage. All of these marriage retreats and marriage seminars are a waste of money. The woman's role is to manage the home, the man's role is to be the spiritual leader of the home.
Let's keep mixing politics and preaching. There is an attack on the first amendment by government from the top down. Why is the truth ignored while lies are promoted? Covid has opened the door for the state to control the church. Defending truth with science is foolish. Responsibility should be the focus, not rights. What's the truth on white privilege and systemic racism? Is soul-winning the main thing?
We believe that Jesus was in fact born on December 25th, and it can be proven from historical records and Bible teaching. We first tackle several objections, then turn to documented testimony of first century Christians and church leaders, and finally look at the evidence in the Bible that pinpoints the day.
