Guest: Leslie In the aftermath of several high-profile police shootings of black people, there has been heightened tension between blacks and whites in America. While some people are taking action to try and address this problem, others are keeping their heads in the sand about it.
The solution does not lie with one race or another, but instead is something that both can assist with. Trust needs to be built again between communities so that everyone feels comfortable speaking about these issues and being open to listening. There needs to be a lot more understanding on both sides so that everyone can feel safe speaking with one another without worrying about being ostracized for it.
Stories From The Heart W/ Brandon Trailer
Growing up my mom would take my sister and I to the public library to listen to a storyteller. It would be a different person each time who told a captivating and inspirational story. This sparked an interest deep inside of me to listen to people’s stories.
I have grown to believe that everyone has a story and it is everyone’s birthright to tell that story.
On my show, Stories From the Heart With Brandon, you will hear from interesting people with spectacular stories. Some stories will be serious while others will be lighthearted. However, there will be something for everyone.
