Just a heads up that this is a replay of one of our most loved episodes: Dismantling Internalized Capitalism. So while the content is still relevant, the ads you hear during the episode may not be.
—
Has busy-ness become the norm for your life? Have you felt that you’re living to work rather than working to live? If you are, you’re not alone. So many of us are impacted by internalized capitalism – it can feel like every decision we make is based on our productivity. This way of living wreaks havoc on our nervous system and doesn’t foster an environment where we feel like we can truly flourish.
This concept of internalized capitalism is something that I have spent more and more time thinking about, and seeing the impact of in my own life. Today on the podcast, I'm really excited to dig into this topic, this topic of internalized capitalism, what it means, how it plays into our life and how we can start to break up with this systemic challenge that many of us, especially ambitious empaths are still living and operating inside of so let's jump in.

If you've been tuning into the podcast recently, you've likely noticed that I've been doing things a little bit differently. I have been sharing some of my most favorite and powerful tools, frameworks, and coaching distinctions that I use with my clients and myself as I've been sitting with the despair, grief, and fear of what's going on in my own country and cultures around the world. This week is no different – I want to share what can support you in a changing and unpredictable job market and periods of transition in your career, whether you’re at a place of wanting to finally leave the nine to five and pursue your own entrepreneurial dream, whether you have been laid off in this current job market, whether you've been fired, or whether you've chosen to see yourself out. These tools and exercises that I'm sharing with you today have been some of the most impactful for my clients in navigating periods of transition in the job market with intentionality, with purposefulness and with integrity. I hope you find today's episode not only useful but as a tool to bring you a bit of peace and direction.

I've been reflecting a lot over the past week on how challenging it is to be a human being right now, given the state of the world, given the state of the political climate, given the emotional angst and grief and pain and fear that is so pervasive. It is challenging to be ourselves, to be embodied, to embrace our own emotional interiors, and for us empaths – who over index on feeling – that much more difficult. However, I do believe that one of the most radical acts we can take right now is to embrace our own humanity, to embrace being a human being, rather than a human doing.Throughout this episode I’ll be sharing 12 truths that will help you protect your heart from calcifying and commit to thrive rather than survive as an empath.

I've been thinking a lot about a term that I referenced on the last podcast episode (listen in if you haven’t), this idea that we are currently living in a VUCA world—volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous and for empaths in particular, it can be incredibly challenging to feel grounded, centered, and connected with our higher self in this reality. So today on the podcast, I want to share with you a framework grounded in teachings by Michael Beckwith that has fundamentally supported my clients and myself in changing the way we look at things so that the things we look at change—The Four States of Consciousness. My hope is that today's conversation can provide a little bit more inspiration, peace, self compassion, acceptance and empowerment to support you in changing the way you might be looking currently at the things that are going on in our world.

Welcome back, today I want to talk about some ways that we as empathpreneurs and leaders can set ourselves up to thrive in a world that is feeling increasingly chaotic and unsafe for so many. As empaths are uniquely motivated by impact and mission, now more than ever, we need to be committed to thriving—not surviving. I think that leading with heart, learning how to make continued strategic decisions in the face of uncertain times in this VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world that we're facing is the key to creating lasting positive change.

I’m currently spending a lot of time supporting my 5.5 month old in learning how to sleep in his crib, and what I've noticed is sleep seems to be something that moms lack, and oftentimes first time or seasoned entrepreneurs lack as well. This thought is exactly what I want to talk about in today's episode – the overlaps between parenting and empathpreneurship. So many of my skill sets and the lessons I've learned over the past decade as an entrepreneur, have helped me being the older first time mama that I am. However, I recognize that there's so much to learn and work through and it can be incredibly overwhelming, but it’s not something you ever have to do alone. So, listen in to hear the most common overlaps and struggles along with some practical tips to help you manage both effectively, and hopefully get a little bit more sleep in the process!

In my work, I have found that it is particularly hard for empathpreneurs to embrace change, to close their businesses, to open new ones, to chart new courses in their careers, to change directions, to end business partnerships, and more. So I wanted to record this episode on embracing change because I think so many of us are in a period of change right now—which as a heart-centered entrepreneur isn’t always easy because we are emotionally invested and care so deeply. But it’s okay to allow our businesses and ideas to evolve as we do. Listen in to learn how to trust yourself in order to lean into transition with more confidence.

Welcome back The Prosperous Empath®! Since it’s still January when this episode airs, I wanted to talk about a new and refreshing perspective for you to consider as you reflect on your goals and your visions for the new year. My intention is that today's episode will guide you into action, because I think that for many of us, goal setting can be so overwhelming–and there’s a reason for this! If you live in the northern hemisphere, it’s still winter, and energetically for empaths, this season is often not a natural or aligned place to be exerting ourselves and feeling energized and resourced to be jumping into goals. Instead, we should focus on ritualizing our lives to create new habit loops while stepping into the identity that is in alignment with our new level of success. Find out how by tuning into the full episode.

If you’re listening in real time, happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and were able to fill it with the people and things that are meaningful for you. The first episode of the year is one of my favorites to record because it’s the episode in which I share my word of the year. Having a word of the year has consistently served as such an empowering practice for me, for grounding and for calling in a new experience or a way of being that I want to cultivate in the new year. Another thing that I love about a word of the year rather than resolutions is that it focuses on being instead of doing – which is something that can be so restorative for empathprenuers. With that, I’m excited to reflect back on 2024 and what my word of the year made possible as well as my word for the upcoming year. I hope this episode encourages you to take the time to reflect and declare your own word. May your 2025 be prosperous, and may it be filled with purposefulness.

I’m delighted to have Sarah St. John on the show today, who’s past podcast, The Uncensored Empath, was a source of inspiration for my own. Along with being a podcast host, Sarah is the founder of Empath School, an author, a somatic coach, and creator of Become an Empath Coach™ certification. Throughout the episode, she shares how personal health challenges, becoming a mom, and other instances of grief led her to retire her podcast (despite its success) to take the time to redefine her own identity and focus. Sarah is trained in somatic healing, neuro linguistic programming, emotional freedom technique, yoga, meditation, and more and she shares how these modalities have helped her heal and reconnect with her body while embracing the messiness of liminal spaces so many of us often find ourselves in. She believes that empaths are uniquely wired to be potent healers, as you listen in you’ll see why. I appreciate Sarah’s openness throughout the whole episode and if you’re on your own personal journey of healing, I think you will too.

Something that I really appreciate about thriving and having it all as an empathpreneur, is that we get to create our business around the lifestyle that we're committed to. For me recently, that has looked like creating more spaciousness and more free time in my schedule to be with my son, while also re-evaluating my business through the lens of what's enough. This has opened up so much more joy and peacefulness in my everyday life and I am loving every moment of it. So with that, I'm delighted to have Anne Rajoo, a Peaceful Productivity Mentor, on the show today. Anne owns a boutique VA agency and is a two time graduate of our Emerge Mastermind, and she's someone who I appreciate and find a lot of peace in her presence. I hope you enjoy today's episode with someone who truly embodies what they stand for in business and is committed to continually reinventing her own experience of peaceful productivity as she supports her clients in doing the same.

I am so delighted to have one of my team members join me to share all about podcasting today. Haley is the founder of Heart Centered Podcasting, and she not only helped me launch my own podcast back in 2022 but she has produced every single episode of the podcast ever since. I can't tell you how many conversations I have with clients and colleagues around giving themselves permission to take up more space and own their own authentic voice and message. As empaths and heart centered individuals, we are so practiced in contributing and being focused on the other, on serving, and on wanting to contribute that we often don't give ourselves permission to connect with our message, to connect with what's the most important thing for us to say, to connect with the legacy we want to build, and to share it powerfully and in a compelling manner. Working with Haley has been all about that for me, and that's a little bit about why I wanted to have her on the show today, because I think that in the wake of the 2024 election, we need to hear the voices and the messages of empathpreneurs even more often – we need to hear them take up more space, and to do so in a more compelling and empowered way. Haley has been that partner and accountability structure for me to do so and I'm excited to have her on the show today to share some of her wisdom with you.

I'm recording today's episode on my first full week of work back in the office after my maternity leave. Life feels so full, joyful and different than when I was here prior to having Micah. So I'm excited to bring many new insights and life and business lessons to you as I rebrand the podcast a little and share a bit about what we're celebrating today on this episode and what you can expect going forward. As you tune in, we’re in the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election here in the States. I’ve got a heavy heart, but a renewed importance to share my message and take up more space as a woman, as an entrepreneur, and as someone who's committed to living and honoring my values, both in and out of my business. I have been looking forward to recording this episode and celebrating the crap out of reaching 100 episodes with you, my beautiful listeners. If you haven't already tuned into last week's episode, do that now! I shared a recap episode of how life and business have gone over the past year, what our pregnancy journey has been like, and some of the lessons learned in life and business. If you’re new here, I want you to know that these episodes are a little more personal than what I customarily share on the podcast, but this is a huge part of my life now, and becoming a mom has been a huge yearning, a huge goal, and a huge dream that I've held for myself for so long that I couldn't not share it. Moving forward, I will be sharing a lot more about parenting and some of the wisdom I learn along the way and how parenting applies to business and being a Prosperous Empath® and and vice versa. Now today, I am so excited to share my birth story with you, some of the lessons we've learned (again), a look at what maternity leave has been like – what has surprised me and delighted me and what has felt really challenging. It feels really vulnerable and special to share this, I hope that you can use a bit of it to connect with whatever transition you may find yourself in.

I’m back! This is the first episode I’ve recorded since becoming a mom, so today’s episode may be a bit more personal than business; however, as you know, the two often spill over into each other. Throughout this episode, I want to share what life looked like a year ago for me because it was radically different than it is today. I also want to speak on some of the lessons that I’ve learned through not only trying to get pregnant, but pregnancy itself. I am so grateful to be welcoming a baby into the world at this point in my life with the knowledge, support, experience, preparation, and financial stability that I have – but even with all of that there’s been so many new things to learn. At the end of the day, I have a newfound appreciation and respect for the mamas who are also entrepreneurs. I hope you enjoy this episode and then tune in next week when I go a little bit deeper into my actual birth story.

Last month, we released a mini series called The Prosperous Empath’s Edge, and we released the first two episodes in a three part mini series all about the key strategies and tactics that distinguish between the Empathpreneurs who succeed in business and the ones who don't. It was such a joy recording those first two episodes because the lessons feel so familiar and relevant. They're ones that have been a deep part of my own journey over the past decade in business, and there are themes and topics that come up over and over again in conversations with clients. So in today's episode, we're going to round out the third and final part of that mini series by talking about the key qualities that distinguish givers and takers in leadership, in business and in life. For a little context before you listen, I do not believe that givers do business the right way and takers do business in the wrong way. I think that both givers and takers have both positive and limiting aspects of how we operate in business, but as we become more self aware, not only of our own tendencies and our own default habits and ways of engaging in business, but also what to look out for in the people that we typically tend to attract in business and in relationships, we can set ourselves up for creating mutually beneficial relationships. I hope this episode serves as a good starting place for you in doing so!

On this episode of The Prosperous Empath®, I’m thrilled to sit down with Saleema Vellani, an accomplished 9x founder (3 exits) and award-winning author of the bestselling book, Innovation Starts with I. She’s the founder and CEO of Ripple Impact, which helps seasoned professionals and corporate exiters build profitable, purpose-driven portfolio career businesses and pursue their dreams. She invests in women-owned early-stage startups, sits on the National Speakers Association DC Chapter board, and teaches Entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University. Saleema also speaks five languages and has traveled to 100+ countries. But what many people don’t know about her is that Saleema experienced profound burnout as she was scaling her business. As part of her recovery process, Saleema had to accept the realization that entrepreneurship is, first and foremost, a personal growth journey. She had to dig deep into herself to uncover what it means to truly invest in your well-being, come out of crisis mode, and build a business strategy that was aligned with her values. Listen to our conversation to learn more about burnout recovery and the valuable lessons Saleema discovered along the way.

As we are getting close to 100 episodes of the show, I'm feeling so reflective of the synergies and similar stories that I've heard time and time again during our guest episodes on the show. There's a couple of topics that are super important that I want to take the time to speak to because they feel like breakthroughs that empaths need to overcome in order to prosper. Specifically, I’m thinking of burnout, boundaries, and energy management. Today I want to focus on burnout because it is so worth talking about. Something I have so appreciated in hearing the stories and the journeys of some of our guests over the past two years is that their experience with burnout provided such an invaluable doorway to their success. I’ve found that oftentimes, the burnout experience can create a no looking back, opportunity to break through, to turn a corner, to start a new chapter, and ultimately to pave the way for success. I think that's why I've created such a beautiful, surrendered experience for myself with reaching burnout, but also being with clients when they're in their moments of burnout or breakdown. So listen to this episode to hear how you can focus your efforts to avoid giver burnout and cultivate more energy all the while prioritizing your own ambition and intentions.

I’ve been reflecting on my journey of growing my business as an empath and came across an interesting question: What sets apart empathpreneurs who prosper from those who fail? The hard truth is that empaths are not always successful. They have a tendency to give too much, sustain their business with self-sacrifice, and burn out. But what I noticed is that empathpreneurs who succeed always have a breakthrough in their capacity to receive. They’re the ones being vulnerable and asking for help when they need it instead of trying to do everything by themselves. So, how do you become better at receiving both in your personal relationships and at work? I’m sharing my best strategies on this episode of The Prosperous Empath®.

In this solo episode, I’m continuing the series on the foundational conversations I’ve had with all of my clients - as well as myself - as an empathpreneur. Many people talk about self-care and taking time to rest, but the truth is that it’s not easy to slow down. When things are going well in life and business, you may want to lean into that and pack your agenda with even more exciting things to do. In turn, when you find yourself in a bit of a slump, slowing down is challenging because you feel undeserving of resting. I’ve been there, and I’m focusing this episode on the importance of cultivating space in your schedule. I hope that after you finish listening, you’ll feel inspired to build a spacious life because it’s a gift that keeps on giving.

As you’re listening to this episode, I’ll be on maternity leave learning to take care of our new baby which is just wild to think about. But, as I prepare for my leave, I have been thinking about what I want to share with you during that time. What am I wanting to bring more voice and power to? What has been really speaking to me is that I want to share more about some of the mindset work that I do with clients because I want you to have a little more access to some of the power and transformation that coaching can open up regardless of wherever you are on your own journey. So these next couple of solo episodes will dive into a different facet of this work that I love. Starting with this idea of “being” and “doing”. As an ambitious empath, I've come to deeply appreciate the importance of balancing being and doing in my entrepreneurial journey. I've learned that overemphasizing doing can lead to disconnection from our intuitive wisdom and emotional intelligence. By grounding in our essential being, we can tap into our creative potential, make more intentional choices, and experience more joy and fulfillment in our lives. Throughout this episode, I’m sharing six practices you can implement today to strengthen the muscle of balancing being and doing in entrepreneurship. I hope they’re helpful for you!

As a result, you may often get overwhelmed and need to find ways to manage or regulate your nervous system. I’m so excited to have a conversation with Shana James, a relationship coach and author with 20+ years of experience facilitating workshops on communication, mindfulness, psychology, and sensuality. Shana uses her gifts of empathy and compassion to support men and help them connect to themselves and their potential. In our society, men have a lot of power, but they also suffer alone and often struggle with emotional intimacy. As a result, they become more likely to harm themselves (suicide rates for men are three to four times higher than for women) and others. In our conversation, Shana and I dive deep into the nuances that are often lost in translation in heterosexual relationships to answer important questions: What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be human together? If you have a male figure in your life, listen to this conversation to learn more about using empathy for more understanding, connection, and meaning.

This is the second episode of a two part series where I’m sharing the top 13 self-leadership books that have changed my life and the trajectory of my business. If you haven’t already, go back and listen to last week’s episode! It’s linked below. Now, I talk about this a lot, but as coaches who are truly committed to our own craft, we can only go and grow with clients to the degree that we are willing to evolve with ourselves first. I understand that if I haven't had an insight or a breakthrough in my own personal journey in a specific area, then I will never see or be able to reflect that same gap in a client. In this episode, I’m sharing some of the top books that have helped me unlock new insights, deeper learnings and levels of self awareness and spiritual development in the realm of relationships, overcoming resistance, and money mindset. Again, if you pick up one of these books, I'd love to hear from you! I truly believe that these books have the possibility to change your life, and I hope you enjoy them.

Welcome back to the Prosperous Empath®, during today’s episode, I'm excited to share with you some of the books that have completely unlocked new perspectives, levels of growth, transformed experiences in my relationships, with my finances, and have ultimately made the biggest difference for me in business and life over the past decade. Each of the books are either related to relationships, money mindset, or overcoming resistance. I’ll be sharing the top 13 books, but breaking them into a two-part series so make sure you’re subscribed to the show to be reminded of next week’s episode. Now, something I really appreciate about personal development books, leadership books, and self-help books is that some people can be empowered by them, and others not so much... If you are someone who uses personal development books to justify why you are where you are, consider not listening to this episode because I don't want to provide more fuel to that fire. But if you're willing to check your own assumptions and start questioning some of the bounds of what's possible for you and the people in your life, then listen on. After listening, let me know which book you are adding to your TBR!

This week on The Prosperous Empath® Podcast, I’m having a conversation with Julie Bjelland, a Highly Sensitive, Autistic, LGBTQ+ Licensed Psychotherapist, author, and founder of the Sensitive Empowerment Community. Julie specializes in high sensitivity and adult-diagnosed autism in women, helping them reach their fullest potential and excel in their unique talents. She shares her own story of understanding autism, unmasking her authentic self, and how it allowed her to replace the feelings of being flawed with deep self-compassion. Our conversation doesn’t only apply to autism. We talk about the freedom that comes with embracing your quirky and unique self so you can thrive - whether you’re empathetic, highly sensitive, or autistic. Regina Carey joins me on The Prosperous Empath® this week for a truly heart-centered conversation about neurodivergence and how it is often interconnected with being an empath and/or HSP. Regina is a special ed teacher turned Executive Coach who has spent the last three decades educating, empowering, and advocating for those who feel stuck, yet long to take that next great leap. Recently, she returned from an adventurous trip to Machu Picchu and shares her experience of how saying yes to physical challenges has helped her balance intense emotions as an empath. But something I deeply appreciate about this conversation are Regina’s insights on neurodivergence, especially ADHD, and the importance of managing energy and advocating for oneself. Regina reflects on her upbringing and the influence of the women in her life, emphasizing the need to break patterns of burnout and dis-ease to live authentically. This episode is for anyone who is neurodivergent (or loves someone who is) and is seeking energetic balance in their life. Tune in for actionable steps on thriving more as an ambitious empath.

I’ve been in the world of personal development for the past decade, and I often see high-level coaches and leaders zoom in on the big transformations and results they’ve achieved without revealing the breakdowns, breakthroughs, and learnings they experienced and overcame along the way. As I’m recording this episode, I’m 27 weeks pregnant and recovering from COVID-19, which has been an interesting experience in surrender and allowing myself to receive more meaningful support from the people around me. I’m also reevaluating how I market my business, getting clear on how & where I want to show up for my community, and navigating moving into a new home as a minimalist. Tune in if you’ve been yearning for more humanity & meaningful conversations lately!

Growing up in a Bed & Breakfast, I’ve always had an appreciation for a neat and organized space. It’s one of the reasons why I’m so excited about my conversation with Rebecca Jo-Rushdy, a KonMari® consultant who guides sensitive souls on transformational journeys by decluttering their homes, hearts, and minds into sanctuaries that spark joy and flow. As a fellow empath, Rebecca understands that the practice of decluttering your home is not about just freeing up the physical space. It’s also an emotional experience woven with our cherished memories, relationships with our loved ones, and our own evolutions as human beings. From cultivating awareness to setting goals that don’t upset your nervous system, you will walk away from this episode with newfound clarity and wisdom on creating a mindful environment that sets you up for success.

I’m beyond honored to have Bob Conlin and Alex Terranova, co-founders of The Alchemy of Men, on the show today. In their work, they’ve created a community and path to support men in discovering their authentic selves, evolving from boys to men, becoming more self-expressed, and building lives they can be proud of. Alex, Bob, and I used to be leaders together in Accomplishment Coaching, where we all individually trained as coaches together, served in different roles, and partnered in many different ways. We have a lot of experience knowing one another in multiple capacities, and I hope this is evident throughout the episode. I ask them a lot of deep questions about their work as it’s so important and needed in today’s world. In their work, Alex and Bob are cracking the door open for men to show them what is possible if they can tear down their walls. They know that getting men to show up to their retreats is the hardest part – because they have found that once they are there, it’s easy for the facades to fade and allow a new version of masculinity to appear. I can’t wait for you to tune in and find your own favorite takeaways.

If you had a month off of work, what would you do? Maybe you’d take the opportunity to work on your side business to increase your income to possibly leave your 9-5. Maybe you’d focus solely on healing your nervous system from endless burnout. The opportunities are endless – enter mini-retirements. Over the past 20 years, Jillian Johnsrud and her husband have taken a dozen mini-retirements while also paying off their debt, buying a home with cash, adopting four kids (and having two biological kids), buying rentals, traveling to 27 countries, and living abroad. In our conversation today on The Prosperous Empath® Podcast, she shares what exactly a mini-retirement is, how they can serve as a catalyst for major change, and how she helps her clients prepare for them. When you listen all the way through, you’ll feel like your biggest desires and dreams are that much more accessible (with action steps to make them happen).

I’m so excited about this episode of the Prosperous Empath® Podcast because I’m sitting down with Rebecca Arnold, certified coach, colleague and longstanding member of the UNBOUNDED Mastermind, to talk about her debut book, The Rooted Renegade. Years in the making, this book helps ambitious professionals reach holistic success and overcome imposed pressure and external expectations that many empaths struggle with, such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overwork, and difficulty with boundaries. If you feel that your nervous system is tapped out (or getting close to it), listen to this episode to start healing and embodying a more nurturing relationship with yourself.

If you often struggle with trusting yourself and taking risks in entrepreneurship, you’re going to take away a lot from this week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath®. I’m sitting down with Lindsey Epperly, CEO of Jetset World Travel which she has scaled from a one-person operation into a team of over 90 dedicated members in the unlikeliest of times - the COVID-19 pandemic. When the world shut down in March 2020, Lindsey was 5 months pregnant with her first child and her husband had recently quit his job in finance to integrate into her business. As travel restrictions were being put into place, Lindsey had to choose between betting on herself or succumbing to fear and uncertainty. Tune in for an insightful and motivational conversation on turning obstacles into opportunities, overcoming imposter syndrome, and being a light in a dark time.

I’m honored to have someone who I care deeply about on the podcast today, Matt Maxwell. He is dedicated to freedom, joy, connection, and stewardship of the earth. Beyond that, Matt is also the author of How to Hold a Cockroach and leads Hearthstone Coaching, where he helps individuals, teams, and organizations clarify and create what matters most to them. At the time of recording, Matt joined me from his car as he’s traveling across the country to move back home to have more support from his family as he navigates the effects of long COVID. Throughout our conversation, we touch on holding grief, giving ourselves the permission to receive, and how Matt is gracefully and intentionally coming to terms with his new reality. If you’ve listened to my past solo episode on receiving and the recent episode with Jenn Andreou on embracing grief, Matt’s episode will feel like a big picture moment on how the two are interconnected and aligned. If you’re in a period of transition, especially if it’s one that’s hard to grapple with, I hope you find some relief in this episode.

As an empath, it can often feel like we’re living in a world that’s grieving hardship and heartbreak. This is why I’m grateful to sit down with Jenn Andreou, an Executive Coach and Grief Recovery Method Specialist. In her work, Jenn helps grievers who feel stuck in the pain of their losses to move through grief and take action to regain their wellbeing. Throughout the episode, we talk about living with grief and allowing yourself to feel pain, sadness, and sorrow instead of fixing or bypassing them. After living through two tragic losses, it took Jenn seventeen years to truly begin to heal and find her way back to joy. Why? Because while grief is emotional, we as a society often intellectualize it and don’t allow ourselves to truly embrace and process our feelings. Jenn joins me for a heartfelt discussion on taking action (not the kind you may think), becoming more honest with yourself, and embracing the idea that it’s okay for things to not always be good so you can heal and move forward.

In this episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m jumping back into the mini-series on mindset blocks and obstacles that empaths and HSPs often struggle with on their entrepreneurial and leadership journeys. By nature, empaths are often people-pleasers and permission seekers. We tend to ask other people for their blessing before we make big decisions and even tame our dreams when they make our loved ones uncomfortable. In this conversation, I’m sharing insights and practical strategies on how to cultivate self-trust and start enrolling others into your vision instead of asking for their permission so you can own the full expression of your desires and dream bigger.

I am putting a brief pause on the series on challenges that empaths and HSPs often face this week to bring you a special, emotional & deeply personal episode. I’ve just returned from a spending over the last two weeks in Europe celebrating a milestone birthday - I just turned 40! I’m also officially more than halfway through my pregnancy, and it feels like a beautiful moment to pause and honor all of the becoming that it has taken me to get to this point in life. So, I decided to write a love letter to the baby in my belly to honor the version of me I am today and what I hope for them. Somehow, it also ended up being a love letter to myself and all of YOU as I reflect on learning important life lessons, finding answers to some big questions, and learning to deeply love myself along the way. I hope you find something meaningful and of value for yourself in this vulnerable episode!

In this episode of the Prosperous Empath® Podcast, I’m continuing the series on challenges that empaths and HSPs often struggle with and sharing practices, mindset shifts, and tips on how to overcome them. The topic of this episode - expanding your capacity to receive - has been one of the greatest transformations for me over the last decade and it’s something I routinely explore with clients. In life, there is an inherent polarity between givers and takers, and the majority of empaths and HSPs overidentify as givers. There are amazing benefits to being a talented giver (which is why many empaths thrive as service providers), but it can also be hard to allow yourself to receive and have your needs met, whether it’s in business partnerships or romantic relationships, to name just a few. In this episode, you’ll learn why empaths often struggle with giving too much of themselves, the consequences of this tendency, and how to nurture your ability to receive more and better.

Today I’m kicking off a series of episodes on the Prosperous Empath® Podcast where I will dig into some commonalities that empaths and HSPs experience in entrepreneurship and leadership. In my years of working with empaths from all walks of life, I’ve noticed that we often share similar struggles and obstacles that we need to overcome to thrive and prosper. In this solo episode, I’m talking about the power of manifestation and the process of reconnecting with your dreams, desires, and creativity. To tell the truth, I have a love/hate relationship with the word “manifestation” - even though I have manifested many things in my life and business. If there’s a logical part of you that resists the concept of manifestation, you’ll resonate with this episode! I’m sharing nuggets of wisdom on how to become intentional with your thoughts and beliefs as well as my favorite manifestation practices to try.

I’m ecstatic to sit down for this insightful conversation with Isabelle Griffith, the Founder of The School Of Somatic Leadership For Women™, on this episode of the Prosperous Empath®. Isabelle is a Somatic and Embodied Feminine Leadership coach. Her life’s work is to help women break the internalized narratives that are keeping them feeling stressed, depleted, burnt out, and doubting their worth. After spending 20 years in the corporate world and having two beautiful children, she found herself severely burned out - although her seemingly perfect life “ticked” all the boxes. For Isabelle, experiencing burnout was a doorway to reconnecting with her feminine essence and discovering that a completely different way of life and leadership was possible. Many women live in their masculine energy by default, not tapping into the part of them that’s cyclical instead of linear. Through our conversation, Isabelle and I uncover how to find a renewed sense of inner authority, regulate your nervous system, and, most importantly, what it means to be an embodied feminine leader.

If you’ve been a part of my community for a while, you know that intuition is one of my favorite topics to discuss. This is why I’m so excited to sit down with Jill L. Ferguson, serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, and international speaker, to talk about embracing your intuition and following a non-linear path in business and, perhaps even more importantly, life. Jill started her first business at the age of eighteen and has been in-and-out of self-employment ever since, authoring dozens of books and exploring different passions, from painting & photography to consulting & coaching. She learned early on that there’s no straight path to entrepreneurship, but along the way she has learned the importance of following your gut, saying yes to opportunities, and learning to trust yourself. Jill believes that all of us - especially Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and empaths - were born with divine creativity within us. Yet, in a world that’s so focused on “staying on track,” cultivating a strong sense of self and giving yourself permission to explore is no easy feat. Jill and I have a vulnerable and insightful discussion today about unpacking people-pleasing, taking creative action, and living authentically. If you find it hard to give yourself permission to do things your own way, you’ll undoubtedly learn a lot and walk away inspired from this episode.

In this episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m sitting down with financial advisor and UNBOUNDED Mastermind Alum, Cris Caruso to talk about a phenomenon that many people have experienced in recent years: lifestyle creep. Cris has been in the financial services industry since 2004 and a financial advisor since 2008. Beyond that, she has pursued additional education in understanding how our behaviors shape financial outcomes by earning the Behavioral Financial Advisor designation from Think2Perform. She also earned the Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor credential prior to 2015 as a way to support her LGBTQIA+bclients and continues to use this knowledge to work with unmarried couples and non-traditional families. You’ll appreciate her unique experience throughout today’s episode as she speaks on lifestyle creep, or lifestyle inflation, which is overspending on things that you don’t actually need as your income increases. When you’re early in your career, your spending habits focus on must-haves like housing and groceries. But as your income increases, it’s easy to lose track of what is a necessity and what are simply too many luxuries, and to just keep buying more. Cris and I discuss both values-based and practical strategies on how to identify the areas of your life you should spend generously on and where to be more mindful to reach your long-term goals. How do you live in alignment with your money, especially as an entrepreneur and an empath? You’ll get an answer to this question as you listen to our thought provoking conversation on purposeful spending, the importance of allowing yourself to have fun & fabulous experiences, and more.

Disclaimer: This episode could be hard for some listeners to hear, especially if you’ve been struggling with conceiving. I’ll share that we are pregnant, and we have been blessed to have NOT had any miscarriages.
On this week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m continuing to authentically share the behind-the-scenes of my pregnancy journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Be sure to listen to last week’s episode if you haven’t already! In the beginning, the process was incredibly challenging for me because I went into it attached to a certain timeline in my mind - getting pregnant immediately - and it just didn’t happen that way for us. Instead, I had to stop trying to control the journey, trust the process, and discover ways of getting support that I hadn’t considered before. From seeing alternative healthcare providers and sharing my struggles more openly with family and friends to considering IVF and getting a medical procedure that finally helped us conceive naturally, I’m sharing all the details in today’s episode. If you’ve been struggling trying to conceive or know someone who is, I hope that my experience helps you feel less alone on your journey and more empowered to trust your instincts.

Disclaimer: This episode could be hard for some listeners to hear, especially if you’ve been struggling with conceiving. I’ll share that we are pregnant, and we have been blessed to have NOT had any miscarriages.
I’ve been looking forward to recording this episode of the Prosperous Empath® for months now. I’m so excited to share that I’m pregnant! Yet, my journey to conception has been long and full of challenges. In this episode, I’m going to get vulnerable about my experience because there is so much information I wish I had known before my husband Parth and I started trying to have a baby. I mistakenly thought we’d get pregnant immediately, but it took us almost a year to conceive. Over that year, I learned the importance of managing unfulfilled expectations, self-advocating for my wants and needs, breaking down in order to break through, and many other things that I simply wasn’t ready for at the beginning of my conception journey. When you want something so deeply, it’s really hard to surrender - yet that’s just what I had to do. Whether you’re thinking about pregnancy or already trying to conceive, I hope that this episode helps you feel more supported as you navigate your own journey.

As I’m recording this solo episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m enjoying a week with no client calls & focusing entirely on working on my business instead of working in it. I block off my calendar like this every last week of the month and instantly feel more spacious and creative. This got me thinking about one of the most popular topics I discuss with clients: Becoming the architect of your ideal schedule. When you’re a 9-5 employee, being busy is celebrated as a sign that you’re a hard worker or an overachiever, while embracing leisure is frowned upon. When you transition into entrepreneurship and become the CEO of your own schedule, the “busy” mindset has to shift. Why? Because as an entrepreneur, so much of your success is who you’re being and how you’re showing up - instead of how booked your schedule is. In this episode, I’ll unpack the idea of transforming your relationship with time as you grow & evolve and how it’s one of the most challenging (and necessary) mindset shifts to make as an entrepreneur. You’ll walk away with practical strategies on how to lean into CEO thinking, change your perspective, and master your time.

On this week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath®, we’ll explore how to effectively lead as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), mitigate challenges, and work with your strengths. I’m thrilled to sit down with Nina Khoo, a Sensitive Leadership Coach and a Master NLP Coach who helps HSPs understand and embrace their unique wiring so they can become confident and empathetic leaders. It’s common for Highly Sensitive People to believe that they’re not capable of effective leadership and struggle with overwhelm, perfectionism, and second-guessing. Nina and I uncover how our greatest strengths can sometimes be the traits we feel most self-conscious about and pose a central question: How does a Highly Sensitive Person protect their gifts as a leader? As an empath and an HSP, your brain is physiologically wired to take more information in and process it more deeply, which can be an incredibly powerful leadership skill. Yet, it can also lead to overwhelm and self-criticism. Through our conversation, you’ll learn how to approach leadership in a more sensitive, empathetic, and compassionate way so you can own your gifts and make a bigger difference in the world.

Welcome to the newest episode of The Prosperous Empath® Podcast, I am so delighted to be here with you. At the time of this recording it is a Monday morning and I’m coming off the most magical weekend where I celebrated the Lunar New Year with a group of girlfriends in Boston. We spent time with Louise Hay’s book, Colors & Numbers: Your Personal Guide to Positive Vibrations in Daily Life, which in the past, has forecasted some very synchronistic and powerful moments in my life. I tell you this because the time spent this past weekend has allowed me to finally feel confident in choosing my word of the year for 2024, a word that has been calling me but I initially felt resistant to – simplicity. Throughout this episode I’m going to first rewind a bit to share how my word of the year for 2023, leisure, created a lot of amazing shifts in my life. Then, I’ll share the four areas where I’m inviting more simplicity in my life and business in 2024. Heads up that this episode also includes details on upcoming changes of how you can work with me. So if you’ve been thinking of joining our Emerge or Unbounded Masterminds, I invite you to listen all the way through then check out the links provided in the show notes. Enjoy!

I’m thrilled to have my colleague and co-coach in both our Unbounded and Emerge Masterminds, Laura Kline-Taylor, join me again today on The Prosperous Empath® to talk about the idea of selling vs. enrollment. If you’ve listened to the podcast before, you know that I’m a big fan of enrollment where, as a coach, I am committed to helping my clients cultivate self-belief to become who they want and fully trust themselves in the process (and this includes in trusting themselves to choose the best fit coaches and consultants for them vs. being sold on who and why they need to hire someone). This is often the opposite of some coaches and most consultants who are selling you on your own pain points – it’s more transactional than an ongoing co-creation. Laura and I share experiences where we’ve been sold a service and compare those to times that we’ve been enrolled in a service. If you’re a heart-centered coach who is an empath or HSP, this episode will give you a new way to share the transformation that you can provide and call in aligned clients without any of the ick. Remember, cultivating self-belief is an ongoing process, but it is 100% possible to not only charge competitive rates, but be confident in sharing your services and prices, too.

This week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath® gets to the heart of how to access your creativity to overcome hardship and build an aligned life. I sit down with Carey Kirkella, an award-winning photographer for purpose-driven brands and the creator of The L.E.N.S. Method™, to have a conversation about mental health, regulating your nervous system, and sparking your creative expression. Carey shares her story of living with bipolar disorder and experiencing postpartum psychosis and how she channeled her lived experience into creative self-expression. What if we go through life experiences - and even hardships - to ultimately use them as means to create, tell stories, and heal? As Wayne Dyer once said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”. Choosing a word of the year is a tradition that so many of us practice at the start of each new year, but how often do we really think about the impact it could have beyond it being a name for our hopes? Today on the Prosperous Empath®, I sit down with two wonderful women and members of our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community, Rebecca Arnold, executive & leadership coach; and Rebecca Eller-Molitas, adult education consultant, to discuss the practice of choosing your word of the year. Throughout our conversation, we share how you can use your word of the year as a touchstone to make better decisions, generate clarity, and hold yourself accountable. You’ll take away bite-sized pieces of wisdom that will help you elevate your goal-setting and experience of life. Do you always wait until January to set new goals? Can you modify your word of the year throughout the year? Is it possible for words to carry feminine and masculine energies? These are just some of the questions that we untangle during the episode. Whether you’re already set on your word of the year or are still in the process of choosing one (like me), I know you’ll enjoy this conversation!

I’m excited to have Liz Rohr back on the Prosperous Empath® today, where I’ll be sharing an episode that we originally recorded for their show, the Real World NP Podcast. If you listened to their past episode, you know that Liz is committed to embracing their zone of genius as an empath and avoiding burnout while staying committed to their values. Our past conversation was chock full of insights, and I am excited to expand on them and more today. We’re unpacking caretaking, boundaries, codependency and how to stop neglecting your own needs – something that is all too common for empaths. We get vulnerable as we both talk about recognizing how sometimes we take care of other people to feel good about ourselves and ways to shift this behavior pattern. You may take care of other people because you feel capable and ambitious, just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should do it. This is especially true as a coach, where you can only take care of others to the degree that you take care of yourself. If you’re practiced in stepping over your needs, it’s normal to feel like you don’t know what your needs and desires are, but we give you a practical framework to start developing your authentic voice and boundaries with yourself and others. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!

In today's episode, I'm excited to share my recent experience as a speaker at the HSP Awakening Virtual Summit co-hosted by my friend and past guest of the podcast, Josh Speraneo. During my talk, I share what it means to be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) for me and how embracing my empathic nature has reshaped my understanding of strength and vulnerability. I dig into the topic of internalized capitalism, what it means, how it plays into our life and how we can start to break up with this systemic challenge that so many of us, especially highly sensitive intuitive empaths are living and operating inside of. This discussion is a heartfelt exploration of how HSPs like us can turn our sensitivity into our greatest asset. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the world's expectations or struggled to honor your inner sensitivity, this episode is a gentle reminder that you're not alone.

In this final episode of our three part series on habits, I want to take you back to the beginning of my own journey with habits and becoming consistent in daily habits because it wasn't always like this for me. I have been practicing intentional habits for the past decade, but when I first started out in my coaching journey, I was wildly inconsistent with habits – they were something I longed for, it was a problem in my life that I wanted to change but I felt like I did not have the knowledge or the skill set or the willpower to follow through. I think often on our journey as ambitious empaths, we're often so focused on what we're producing, what we're creating, our goals, our drive, our ambition, that we forget how we can set ourselves up for success so that we can continue to grow and evolve and maintain healthy relationships and scalable success without being at the expense of ourselves, our own well being and our burnout. I cannot tell you how many empaths I have spoken with over the years who have all experienced burnout, who have all learned how to take better care of themselves at or on the brink of being burned out, or some essentially even just feeling a need to walk away from their relationships, their business, or their career because they haven't learned how to have it all they haven't learned how to show up and operate in a sustainable scalable way. Tune in today to hear some other options to this all too common problem!

Welcome to the second part of my series on building habits. In this episode, I want to talk about how my relationship with habits has changed over the last decade as well as share three daily habits that I’ve been practicing over the past year. As you already know, I’m incredibly passionate about creating new habits, but it used to be something that I had to exert a whole lot of mind power over to follow through. In this episode, I’m going to cover how I built more muscle memory around habits and share some tips. I’m also excited to get a little vulnerable and share the three habits that I’ve been practicing over the past year and discuss the changes I’ve noticed in myself and my relationships with others. This episode is quite personal and I talk about my relationship with my husband, my decision to practice sobriety, and how I truly feel about meditation (it’s not what you expect!). I can’t wait to share these insights with you.

As I’m recording this episode, the holiday season is in full swing and I’m planning my 2024 vision, goals, and still noodling on my word for the year. If I’m being honest, I have a mixed relationship with New Year's Resolutions and believe that you can start a new habit any day of the year. This is what this episode is all about - The Art of Creating Habits, whether it’s to gear up for the new year or at any other day of your life. This is the first of a three episode series that I’ll be doing on habits. I’m incredibly passionate about this topic and am going to share my tips over the next couple of episodes on how to build consistent habits, starting with using my most recent (crazy!) habit, going for daily dips in the ocean, as an example. We’re going to cover how to transform your habits into deeply satisfying expressions of your identity, how to become consistent with them, and why building healthy habits is especially important if you’re an empath. We’re also going to talk about staying present and choosing habits that actually matter. I believe that committing to a new habit can open the door to an entirely new way of life for you, and can’t wait to share what I’ve learned over the last decade of habit setting!

At the time of recording this episode, I am just still landing from hosting our first ever Unbounded Mastermind retreat a couple of weekends ago. I wanted to record this episode to share what I'm still processing from the retreat, how it went, some of the lessons learned, and some of the highlights. In last week’s episode, we had Kerry Dobson on the show, and if you listened to that episode, you'll remember that I shared with her that I was feeling vulnerable going into hosting this first ever in person retreat for the mastermind. I had a lot of expectations and hopes for how it would go and sometimes my own anticipation and pressure I put on myself can get in my way, so we workshopped my own blocks on our podcast episode together. It was so incredibly helpful, reassuring and affirming that I was on the right track. So I actually wanted to record this episode and give you the download and behind the scenes of how the retreat ended up going as well as some of my own takeaways as facilitator and some of my own personal insights that were reflected back to me. I know many in my community have shared their own dreams of wanting to host a retreat of their own, so I hope you’ll find this conversation helpful as you consider what to include in your own.

I’m thrilled for this new episode of the Prosperous Empath© because we are celebrating this week! At the time of this recording, we celebrated the one year anniversary of launching the Prosperous Empath© podcast. I can hardly believe it and honestly it is still outside of my comfort zone hosting solo episodes and I still dislike talking to myself into a mic! So this past year has been a growth journey for me and it has been one that I am deeply honored to lean into because I really believe in the message of what we're here to talk about. I truly believe that we need more empath entrepreneurs who are thriving in business, so thank you so much for being here.
In this episode, I want to share some of my thoughts from this past year and how I have learned to be fully authentic. So much of our work in becoming Prosperous Empaths has to do with this idea of learning how we can become fully self expressed and authentically ourselves in business, in relationships and everywhere else. This week I want to share with you some of the lessons that have supported me in overcoming that roadblock, and also some of the guests we've had on the show that have really spoken to this concept. I hope you enjoy this episode!

This conversation with Barbera Schouten today left me with more questions than answers, and to me, that’s the sign of a good conversation. Barbera is an experienced transformational coach, speaker and author. She has helped thousands of highly sensitive people (HSP's), empaths, intuitives and spiritual entrepreneurs all over the world embrace and accept themselves fully and connect to their true, authentic self. In the episode, Barbera shares how she finally leaned into being a HSP after experiencing extreme burnout. You’ll also hear more about the different personality traits she’s leaned into that ultimately helped her thrive in business and beyond. I learned a lot from her and I hope you will, too!

Parenting and entrepreneurship is not a solo sport, but oftentimes we feel like we have to go through it alone. Orlesa Poole, therapist and parenting coach, is on the show today to share how she’s shifted her mindset postpartum to get really comfortable asking for help as a mom and as a business owner. There are so many overlaps in motherhood and entrepreneurship, and even though I’m not a mother yet, this conversation left me with so many actionable takeaways for receiving support, relinquishing control, and setting healthy boundaries. [Original show notes] Welcome to our very first episode of The Prosperous Empath Podcast. I am so excited to be here with you today, and a little unnerved too, if I'm being honest. As an empath, introvert and highly sensitive person, I am much more comfortable on the listening end of a conversation, getting to be the one who asks questions and offers insights and reflections. However, I’ve had countless clients tell me over the years that I needed to start a podcast, and not only does the timing feel right, but auspicious. More on that in the episode! Also, on the inaugural episode of the show, I thought I would share the four structures that I believe every prosperous empath must have to achieve the success they are craving. I’m so happy and honored that you’re here, and with that, let’s go!

If you’re an ambitious empath, you probably feel the misalignment of hustle culture marketing almost daily. I know this was a huge problem for me early on in my business before I really gave myself permission to do things my way. With that being said, I’m so excited to have Sarah Santacrose on the show today. Sarah is the author of Marketing Like We’re Human, and it’s her mission to show how we, as prosperous empaths, can revolutionize the marketing industry.
You can WIN Sarah’s book! We’re partnering up to do a giveaway. All you have to do is leave a review of the show over on Apple Podcasts then shoot me a message on Instagram (@unboundedpotential) to let me know you’ve submitted it. There’s a quote that I love: “The quality of our success in business is only as good as the quality of our relationships.” This especially rings true for those of us who identify as ambitious empaths because we naturally prioritize the relationships with individuals in our lives. For me, so many of my clients have become friends and that is so true for today’s guest on the podcast, Laura Kline-Taylor. Laura’s been on the podcast before to chat about cycle tracking, but today we are sharing more about our relationship as client-coach, colleagues, and now co-coach. Laura works deeply in our newest offering, the Emerge Mastermind, so I wanted to have her on the show today so you can get to know her deeper and have a felt sense of how we can collaborate together. This episode will also help you to identify who you can strategically trust to offload some of your work to. I hope it resonates!

I’m back from my summer vacation and I’m feeling refreshed and inspired – I wasn’t always the best at this, but I’m feeling this way because I was able to stay in integrity with myself and my boundaries in order to be truly off grid. This is a reflection of what I wish I had had when I was first starting out in business back in 2014. So in today's solo episode, I want to share with you five of the things that I wish I had had when I started in business. These things are included in our newest program offer, The Emerge Mastermind (which I am very excited to tell you more about!), but regardless of whether or not you're interested in the mastermind, I think you'll find this episode useful. At some point, you're likely going to hire a coach or consider your next business investment or consider a container or community that you want to invest in and belong to and I invite you to consider whether these things are present and which of these feels important for you to consider as you make your next business investment.

I felt so at home this week on the podcast with guest Fifi Mason, The Introvert’s Impact Coach. She inspires quiet introverts to find their voice, get visible and confidently share their ideas with the world and this is evident throughout our conversation. Fifi’s work centers around helping her clients overcome what she coined “self-silence” – something that we all struggle with and will feel familiar as you listen. She shares the importance of belonging and creating frameworks that support your vision, values, and ideas that you want to share with the world. We fit so much into this hour and I can’t wait for you to tune in!

Today’s podcast guest is Kristin Quiroz Bayona, a podcast coach & content strategist, and I’m honored to have her on the show to talk about the importance of tapping into your message and really knowing your why as an introvert and highly sensitive person. Today’s podcast episode with couples therapist, Jelisha Gatling feels like a real treat for me and I hope it will be the same for you! The biggest thing Jelisha and I chat about is how to have it all as an empath – how to feel fulfilled and loved in your relationship while also thriving as a business owner. This is something that I specifically struggled with for a long time before I met my husband, and if it’s something that I can help even one of my listeners with, I consider this episode (and maybe even podcast) a big win. She started her business in 2018 and was able to quit her full-time job 3 months later (while pregnant) as she was fully booked and had surpassed her previous full-time income. Beyond that, we’re chatting about the importance of communication, crafting long-term relationships with your team members, and of course, the thing that has supported Sadie the most in becoming a prosperous empath. I’m so thrilled to share today’s interview on the podcast with Amy Mariani, attorney and litigator turned mediator. When I first met Amy and learned more about her values and her empathy-driven business, I knew that I wanted to not only get to know her better, but have her on the show. There are so many reasons that I particularly enjoyed our conversation; as empaths and entrepreneurs, so many of us have work left to do in learning how to manage conflict and have difficult conversations. Something I really took away is how being an effective mediator and communicator has a lot to do with how we take care of ourselves and set ourselves up for success. Even if you’re not immediately needing a mediator or in the midst of crisis management, you should listen to this episode today because you’ll leave with action steps you can take to protect yourself in the future while becoming a better leader, a better spouse, and a better friend.

Hello, friends, and thank you for tuning in to another episode of the Prosperous Empath podcast. Today, I’m sharing another solo episode, and we're going to talk about a topic that is deeply personal to me. It was a huge part of my earlier career and something I struggled with a lot at the beginning of entrepreneurship, and it's a topic that I notice across the board we ambitious empaths tend to struggle with – the experience of being burned out. I'm recording today's episode, at the beginning of April, and last month in March marked three years since the beginning of the pandemic. If you think about the fear, the economic struggles, the emotional struggles, and the challenges in our family life and work-life balance that the pandemic created, I think it makes sense that so many people are feeling burnt out right now. Then you combine all of that with the fears of an impending recession, and the great resignation, and all of the other themes that we've been noticing in our workforce, it makes a lot of sense. So in today's episode, I want to provide a little bit more of a historical framing for why you or someone you know may be experiencing burnout right now and what can you do about it. You’ll leave this episode feeling equipped with more choices and options to take care of yourself in the face of burnout.

I’m recording this episode on one of my off weeks – usually the last week of the month where I take a break from client calls to focus on business strategy, take a vacation, or to just prioritize some self-care. This week particularly, I want to address some requests that I’ve had for the show, which are to record more solo episodes! So, in this episode of the Prosperous Empath, I thought I would dive into the historical perspective on the life coaching industry, when (and why) to hire a coach, what the life coaching experience is all about, and explore some of the distinctions between coaching and some of the other support modalities. I'm also going to answer some frequently asked questions and share the answers to questions that I notice people who are new to coaching don't necessarily know to ask but literally make all the difference. I can’t wait to hear your favorite takeaways!

I’m so pleased to have Natasha Nazareth and Ginny Bonifacino on the show today. The biggest takeaway from our conversation that I’m excited to share is how the two have built a purpose driven business from the ground up – this is really the story, the heart and soul of today’s conversation. You’ll hear how they have developed their day to day processes, choosing to become a B corp, and how they cultivate authentic relationships with their clients. These women are not only experts in using law as a force for good, but building a business based in joy. Enjoy!

I always appreciate the reminder that for some of us, we find entrepreneurship by accident. This certainly wasn’t the case for me, but it was for today’s guest, Morgan Specht. Morgan, owner of Specht and Co., found entrepreneurship by accident when she realized the life of corporate marketing wasn’t for her. I only recently connected with Morgan, but we were able to speak deeply and to the heart in today’s episode. You’ll hear how she upgraded her business boundaries, finds aligned clients, and how to grow your business in a way that feels good despite what traditional business advice tells you. Happy listening!

We hear all of the time that we are either left or right brain thinkers, which one are you? If you’re like me, you’re very analytical and logical, but it’s so important that we learn how to connect with our more creative side. Today’s podcast episode with Juanita Molano Parra is teaching us how she unlocks her right brain as a left brain thinker. I’ve known Juanita since my time in the Peace Corps and I’ve seen her grow her coaching business from day one. We have a beautiful conversation about her journey and shifting from a life on the measuring stick to transitioning to a life and leadership coach. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did having it!

Drew Rabidoux, therapist, therapist coach, Coping with Herpes expert, course creator, mom, and boyband fanatic, is on the podcast today. In our conversation, she’s sharing about her recent course, Women Coping with Herpes. However, you can take out the word “herpes'' and replace it with whatever you might be struggling with right now, and so much of Drew’s wisdom will apply. Something that I am really struck by after recording this episode is that oftentimes when we are on our path, we don’t understand why we hit certain bumps along the way. But hindsight is always 20/20 and looking back we have the clarity that each step along the way has been in service of who we are meant to become and what we are meant to have. I’ve never talked about something so heavy and significant while also laughing so hard. Drew left me feeling deeply inspired, and I hope she can do the same for you.

We’re covering a lot of Anna’s journey as she transitioned from a full time therapist to full time business coaching to gain more time freedom on the cusp of the birth of her second child. She shares what it means to operate a values aligned business, why a good relationship with money is the foundation to your success, her favorite affirmations, and more.

Welcome back to another week of The Prosperous Empath Podcast. Today’s episode is yet another guest who I feel completely honored to have a conversation with to share with you – Jessi Michel Agadoni. Jessi has donned the term “Natural Sensitive” to describe not only how she has felt throughout her own life, but how her clients feel as well. You’ll hear how this differs from the more common term, Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). We talk a lot about physical and emotional healing that is sustainable for people like me and you. Jessi is also sharing why the language we use is important and the things that support her most. This conversation was deeply resonant for me, and I hope it is for you, too.

Today’s episode is about one of my traditions that I get to do every year – choosing my word of the year. Having a word of the year has consistently served as an empowering practice for grounding and calling in a new experience or way of being that I want to cultivate in the next year. Rather than making New Year’s resolutions which are often clouded in changing something about ourselves we don’t like and focusing on ‘doing’, a word of the year focuses on ‘being.’ Your word of the year will help you create a new, distinct experience of life. Listen in to hear how to choose your own word of the year to make 2023 one of your best years yet.

This episode is for any empath who’s ready to start feeling confident in who they are and all that they can accomplish!

Hello, hello, and welcome back to another episode of the podcast. I am looking forward today to sharing with you about goal setting, and before you disconnect and let your eyes glaze over, I want you to know that I have a very unique relationship to project planning and goal setting. I've come to realize that it's something that I do a bit different from other folks, and I'm also highly practiced in fulfilling on the goals that I set, and staying in relationship with the goals that I set and being empowered by the goals that I set – which are all very unique statements to make, and statements that I often find many struggle with. So we're going to talk about the anatomy of goal setting, why they're important, how they are really the heart and soul of what coaching is all about, and I'm going to share with you a structure that has supported me in setting my goals over the years.

The inspiration for today's episode, and actually, for the next couple of episodes resulted from a conversation that I overheard at a bar over the weekend. In short, another patron said this about Thanksgiving: “It was rough, I went to Gloucester, Hamilton and then Rockport, but there were no fights, so that was a plus.”
On the opposite hand, I’m someone who really does love this season, and one thing I can appreciate about the holidays is that it is a time of a lot of emotions, a lot of pressure, and a lot of expectations. Sometimes when there can be that hype and anticipation, judgment, preconceived notion of how things are going to go, it just can create a lot of pressure and human beings don't typically like pressure. As you may know, one of the ways we often resist pressure is avoidance. So for today's episode, I want to share with you a nod to the 12 days of Christmas, the 12 days of conscious holiday planning as a way to practice doing something different and as a way to practice bringing more intentionality to your holidays to create the experience that you want to have.

In a previous episode of the podcast I shared how it took 37 rejections before I finally landed my first client. That first client? Laura Kline-Taylor Roethel – which is why I’m beyond honored to have her on the show this week. Laura is a Life & Business Coach who specializes in supporting women who are spiritual entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial spirits who are interested in keeping motherhood powerful while remaining career driven. In our conversation, Laura is sharing her expertise of cyclical living and how this has created major shifts not only in her business, but in her life. Her teaching on this topic has endlessly grounded and motivated me and I hope it does the same for you.

Welcome to our very first episode of The Prosperous Empath Podcast.
