POP QUIZ! Can you name one animal that is the color pink? That's right! The beautiful, "pretty in pink" flamingo is one of them! But are flamingos always pink? Well today, we'll learn the famous saying, "You are what you eat" and about a special pigment (the stuff that makes color) in their food that gives color to their feathers! It also reminds us that "we are what we eat" too! Not just the food we eat, but also the things we watch, read, and listen to that can influence who we are. We also have a special guest with us with our Amazing Fact of The Week! So join us in today's fun, pink-filled episode called, "Pretty In Pink".
Today, we're blasting off back into space and exploring our big and mysterious...Moon! We'll learn just how important the moon is to all life and our planet, and most importantly how God has made it that way! Did you know that our bodies need to say at about 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit to keep up its necessary functions like breathing, digesting food, and making new cells? But when your body gets too hot, that's when your brain gets your sweat glands to work! As sweat evaporates into the air, it cools your skin. Pretty cool, huh! But our bodies aren't the only thing that can get too hot--our tempers can too! In today's episode, we'll explore why we sweat and what the Bible says about anger. The Ozone is a tiny little gas molecule with a GREAT, big job to do. It mostly hangs out in the Earth's upper atmosphere and wraps around our planet like a huge shield to protect us from the Sun's dangerous, ultraviolet rays. God's love and goodness also WRAPS around and protects us too! And nothing can separate us from that love. Today, we'll hear the Christmas story of Jesus being born. Our Savior, Jesus, was coming into our world but there weren't a lot of things ready for him. Well, at least not like how we would normally prepare for a baby to be born. His parents weren't ready, there were any hospitals or 5-star hotels, or even diapers, toys, or a normal bed! Instead, God prepared for Jesus to come in a different way. He prepared the hearts of His people.
