In this quick episode, I share the story outlined in Jeremiah 35 that discusses the sons of Jonadab son of Rechab, and how God uses this story to show us what a heart for Him looks likem I made a mistake in this - he is mentioned in 2 Kings 10, not 22!
I talk about what a life vision is (1:07) and then explain why it's important to have one (6:11). From there, I challenge everyone to do an exercise (10:15) and then reflect on what that exercise tells you about whether you think of your life in a Godly way (11:15).I end by sharing my wife and my vision statement and why we came to that conclusion.
Are we rendering ourselves to God? And are we spending time in scripture asking Him what that entails in the first place? What I didn't share in this podcast, is that later in Mark 12, Jesus tells the Sadducees that they are wrong because they don't know the scriptures!
The only way to fully follow Him is through His word.
