Note: the pastor mentions a childlike faith has an implicit trust in the parent (or spiritually, in God). This is distinct from the Catholic doctrine of implicit faith, which teaches one must accept the teaching of the Catholic Church without question. To have faith in our Heavenly Father, without the full knowledge to express why, is the focus of this passage. Such will then grow as the Holy Spirit works in our understanding over time. To be saved, one must have faith... not a degree in doctrine.
