Okay, that's enough. Uh, I just got done listening to Drake's new project. Honestly, Never mind. Um, when I say done, I don't mean like, I listened to the whole thing. I got to track five or six, and I you know, I got the message pretty much, you know, And the drinks discography there are quite a few. Debatable is about which project is his best hands down. But I think that with this project, there's absolutely no debate about the fact that this is his worst drop ever. Okay, I think even the title is a troll. Honestly, never mind. Like you expect Drink to be dropping some heat, and then you listen to it. And you're like, Honestly, never mind. This project sounds like something that came about as a result of Drake losing a bet to a friend. And the result of him losing that bet meant that he had to put out House album and then bring 21 savage into the fuck re. Of course, for a good measure. Um, this sounds like the kind of music that will pop off on tiktok. Um, on shows like euphoria, you know, it sounds like music. that are playing the background at a pool party. I can't really tell who's supposed to be listening to this. Actually, I can actually see a community of people listening to this, and I think that's the community because a lot of the songs on here sound like the kind of music that they would vote to. But outside of that, not quite sure what drink was Richard for here. But you know, it don't really matter that any day, honestly, never mind.

listen, I'm really proud of how far afrobeats has come, um proud of the artists, proud of the producers and I understand that, you know, this afrobeats to the world movement, um, won't be ex assess fel without collaboration. Right? So over the years we've seen afrobeats artists collaborate with various american or you know, Canadian artists to help bring attention not only towards their artistry but the culture as a whole, but I have to say I'm tired of seeing the chris brown and black features. Where's the originality? There are so many other dope black american artists that Nigerian, you know, Afrobeats artists can feature on their songs or jury mixes that will make the ship go heavy. You have a lucky day gold link, um, Ship Don toliver, Harry, Lennox Amber Mark, Chance, the rapper, maybe, you know, uh, these are people that can definitely add some flavor to some afrobeats songs. Where is the originality? Can you guys please switch it up? I was just listening to low jay's uh, well at least I really mixed with chris Brown and I just felt like chris Brown was such a poor fit. There are other songs that chris Brown is doing pretty good on, right? But this song he was not a good fit for and trying to do the whole Nigerian or african accent thing was not just working. I don't know why he felt the need to do all that on that song, but please guys just switch it up a little bit, we would really appreciate that and you know, once you do try it, I'm sure that you guys would be satisfied by the results, too.

What's up guys? I know it's been a minute since I dropped something on here, I've just been out sick I guess. Uh The boys just so cold, I called my damn Self, but I wanted to give a quick review of a project that I'm really fuckinwith right now. A Nigerian hip hop project by the by the way, uh it's 2022 by Zilla Oaks and Makamba Makamba handling the production on this project, So five track ep uh and uh she said, I can't say this is the first time review because I had the privilege of hearing this month ago, but it still has the same way that it did the first time that I heard it shout out to Zilla oaks for putting the work on this one. I spoke with three tracks on this heavy. The intro, 11 11 dope song, track number 2, 2022 hits hard and track number four more Tamina is like my personal favorite off the project the first time I heard it, I was cruising around Lagos at night and it was just really perfect. You know, had it on repeat and I still do this project is dropping at a great time because again, there have been a lot of extended conversations about the place of hip hop in Nigeria, you know, in the Nigerian musical market and Zilla is pretty much leading the charge by being the first rapper, right? Uh to drop something, drop a dope project by the way. I personally give it an eight out of 10 buddha boy boy boy, you know uh repping And I think that this project could end up opening doors to several other conversations about what it is that hip hop has to offer in Nigeria, Y'all check it out and let me know what you think.

man. I'm sick. I'm sick. I can't I can't believe my ears, Man. Um, Nigerian rap is going to be in the mood for a minute. Drive hip hop Specifically, some of us have been having conversations for months for weeks about how to revive this culture in Nigeria and how to get people to recognise and appreciate Nigerian hip hop artists. Finally, we get something that seems to me between Y, p and D and D, and it's nice, you know, nice trade of bars and everything. You know, everybody's picking your size and voting who they think is better. Then you guys get in a Twitter space and you're preaching love and light and doing all this Kumbaya stuff, and then it goes from a rap conversation. So you guys talking about whiskey should've won the Grammy. So now you've turned a rap conversation into a glorified afrobeats podcast. Nobody's looking for that from your rappers. The only reason why it's a rapper would run away from the potential of rap beef is because you know that your pen game is not up to par and you know that you can't hang. That's the only reason why you'd be preaching Love our lives. If you're really about that life, then you'll be looking to shame and disgrace to affairs. But again, people are afraid of being discussed on social media. They don't want to be laughing stock and soldiers running away from it and pretending like as if it's just peace and love. No, no, no. It's not all you niggas do not fuck with each other for real. Stop it! Stop it, Dick. Writing is not a safe form of transportation. You had the opportunity to build that audience again and you blew it, and it's really unfortunate to see, but it is what it is.

What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? It's your boy, Wuchi aka, The Chocolate Monster, aka The African Wizard. And you are now tuned into Afrobeams. Uh, real quick. Wanted to give a first listen review to Omah Lay’s “Woman”. Um, decent song much better than the last two or three releases that he's had, which include “Attention” featuring Justin Bieber and “Free Mind”. Uh, dope…. first verse. The hook is decent. Although I noticed that the hook sounds a lot like “Testimony” by P- Square, but it's a much better offering in my opinion. Um, one thing that I've noticed with Omah Lay recently is that this is no longer the Omah Lay that gave us Get Layd. It's that obvious. I think that he's fallen off and not in popularity or relevance, but just as far as his pen game is concerned. Um, definitely not the same pen game that we got when he first broke out and it is what it is. Because sometimes this happens with artists. I just didn't expect that it would happen so soon with an artist like Omah Lay considering how promising he was when he first dropped. But um, still looking forward to the album. Uh, definitely looking forward to hearing what he has to offer. He's talked about how hard it's been writing for this album. So I understand the drop in quality with a lot of the songs, but nevertheless still want him to win. And looking forward To seeing what he has to offer us 14 tracks on the upcoming album, June 26. And uh, yeah, let's have it. So I give it like a six .5 out of 10 for now.
