February 24, 2022 FFA used to stand for Future Farmers of America and was geared toward those going into agricultural production. The organization has expanded to include much more to meet the growing demands for leadership in these areas. In 2019, Ethan Dado joined Mankato Area Public Schools as its first agriculture/foods/natural resources teacher. Dado's duties also include leading the Mankato FFA chapter.

Mavs of Action Committee (MAC) is a student-run organization supported at Minnesota State University, Mankato. MAC focuses on social justice through education, advocacy, and activism with an inclusive and intersectional feminist lens. MAC strives to unite MNSU students in an effort to create change on the MNSU campus as well as in the Mankato, Minnesota community.
