“Let’s Talk about Wellbeing” is a series of podcasts created and delivered by Jackie Allen and Lesley Malcolm. As Jackie lives near Aberdeen and Lesley is in Glasgow, these two ladies would perhaps never have met if it had not been for the Covid pandemic, but did, via (a networking group on) zoom, got chatting and realised they had so much in common, but particularly a huge interest in the concept of wellbeing through their years of personal lived experience and research, how to achieve and sustain it. In this series of conversations, Jackie and Lesley will introduce new ideas around wellbeing, challenge or validate old ones and plan to speak to many experts in their fields to (help) or (encourage) listeners to become the best version of themselves.

In the launch episode of Let’s Talk About Wellbeing, novice podcasters, Lesley Malcolm, who is based in Glasgow and Jackie Allen, who from Aberdeen, explain how they came together during a lockdown zoom conversation and the idea of this series was born.
Lesley, a mental health trainer and Jackie, who, as a Coeliac is passionate about the power of the gut on overall health, talk about their career backgrounds and how their interest in heath and nutrition stems back to their early childhoods experiences in Scotland and has developed over the years to working at keeping well as they age. They share their passions and experiences, eager to pass on their ideas and tips to inspire others and discuss current hot topics surrounding the issues of physical and mental health and the power of nutrition, exercise and positive attitudes to make steps towards effective changes and improvements to life day to day, at whatever age or stage of life.
