Revivals come and go, whereas a renaissance permeates and transforms the culture – like yeast does to the dough. It influences and ultimately changes art, education, government, religion, social systems, etc. It transforms the way we think and act toward each other, especially those who are lost and broken.
Christians seem to have forgotten what ‘apostolic’ meant in Jesus’ day. (Hint: It had nothing to do with being at the top of a hierarchical ladder.) Look around. Our world is a dark and dismal state. The remedy will most assuredly be found by igniting an apostolic renaissance. Let the chips fall where they may…

Honor is both a predecessor to faith and a demonstration of it. Honor is key to healing! When Jesus went to his own hometown, Nazareth, He could do no mighty miracles because of their unbelief. In the story, the townsfolk were contemplating how they knew his earthly father and mother; they knew his brothers and sisters. Who did He think He was? Honor was the key that would have tapped into the faith for them to experience the miraculous. You don’t believe in what you don’t honor. –Do you believe healing is for today? Or do you honor religious traditions that say it’s not for today? Do you honor your experience more than what the Bible says about it? “These signs will follow those who believe...”–After listening to the episode, comment and let me know what you think. Today's episode is a special message from Susan, preached at Freedom Life Church, January 15, 2023: "The Shalom of the Family."
Building on a previous message at Freedom Life called "The Shalom of the City" (Jeremiah 29), Susan took it further with "shalom at home," the simple idea that the kingdom of God cannot come fully in the world until it first starts at home.
Every human is shaped by their family of origin, so when transformation happens at home, it filters out into the world. This is how change happens!

Sometimes in the "gender wars," it seems like feminism argues for retribution, for punishing men who benefited from male supremacy. Susan responds with a resounding, "No!"
