Vonnegut’s Crusaders: Recent Episodes

In this episode we will be discussing the perception in the novel, how military and war experiences, and the similarities with the mentalities of Billy Pilgrim and Kurt Vonnegut.
In this episode will we be discussing Billy’s time jumps and how the novel seems to be written from an outside perspective that examines society, soldiers and people who have been through trauma and how they can recover from it, and reasons why soldiers like Lazzaro enlist along with soldiers today.
We will be focusing on the topics of ptsd, how different types of people react to war, and periodic hallucinations in Slaughterhouse-Five and we will relate it back to how all these topics are still very prevalent today.
