Johnathan, also known as Masked_Off_Depression on Instagram, takes us through his life, from being the gifted child and poster boy of his secondary school to crumbling under the pressure of adulthood and self-esteem problems.
Johnathan is of Ghanaian-Irish descent but lives in London, he talks about how this contributed to his identity issues. He is 29 now and since this interview, he has left Instagram to take some time to focus on himself. We wish him all of the best and thank him for speaking to us so honestly. In this episode, we spoke to H, a young entrepreneur from London. He has a history in business and is currently working on a project called "Hustle Group LDN" which is for business owners to be able to collaborate and benefit from each other.
His mother passed away when he was 8 years old and since then it has been a turbulent ride fuelled by stress and caring too much about what other people thought of him, amongst other things.
More recently though he has decided to reinvent himself and become a better man. He took part in the David Goggins challenge where he and a friend of his ran 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours to raise money for a friend's father who passed away
In today's episode, we spoke to Varnell, a young man who's had ups and downs. He spoke to us about his 3 months in Jamaica where he was in a prison-like hospital and the aftermath house robbery that left him and his family traumatized.
