The Interrupted Life is all about life's seasons, or interruptions, and how God can use them to reset our lives, just like He did mine! I'll sprinkle in some farm antics, some humor, and how we can use life's interruptions to dig deeper into His word.
Welcome to week two of 10 Bad Girls of the Bible! This week, we are taking a closer look at Potiphar's wife, (who I've renamed Mrs. P for today's episode) and how she attempted to seduce Joseph. She had it all in terms of title, house, and wealth, but that still wasn't enough for the original desperate housewife. Sit back, grab your Bible, and turn to Genesis 39 as we take a look at what landed Potiphar's wife on the 10 Bad Girls of the Bible list.

After taking a LONG hiatus to gather my thoughts and ideas and plans for the Interrupted Life Podcast, I'M BACK!
We're going to spend the next 10 weeks looking at women in the Bible who made the Top 10 Bad Girls of the Bible list, starting with Eve. She was the first woman, wife, and mother. She was also the first to sin. Her decision, whether it was intentionally bad or misguided, was the beginning catapult for the fall of man. Due to her blatant disregard for God's command and Adam's subsequent sin, things changed forever and we no longer live in Eden. HOWEVER, there are things to be learned from her mistake. Sit back, take a listen, and turn to Genesis 3 as we learn about what landed Eve on the list.

Hey guys! Welcome back! I really love where today's episode has taken us and I hope you do to! Parables are my favorite, and although I hadn't read this one prior to researching and writing today's episode, it really hit home. Justice and Prayer go hand in hand. We can't have one without the other but we can't live in the spirit of prayer if we don't take the time to listen to what God is saying.

Elijah, and many other Godly men in the Bible, experienced depression. And God gives us their accounts to help us better understand human sadness and how we can move on from that valley and to the mountaintop because just like God had a purpose for them, He has a purpose for us. Today, we're going to look at Elijah and his ministry which spans multiple chapters in 1 Kings and 2 Kings. We'll talk about his highs and his lows and how God brought him out of that depression to fulfill his purpose. We'll take a look at what we can learn from Elijah's battle with depression and how we too, can move from the valley to the mountaintop. If you find yourself struggling with depression or having suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a trusted individual or call the National Suicide Hotline at 800-273-8255.

Whoa buddy, do I get a little worked up this episode! I love Jael. I love her story and how she said YES to an opportunity God laid at her feet. We can all learn a thing - or 5 - from Jael and I'm here to tell her story! Although she's only mentioned briefly in 8-10 verses, there's a lot to be unpacked between her, Deborah the prophetess, Barak, and Sisera. I'm glad you joined me and I hope you're just as excited as I am for today's episode.

In 1 Samuel, we get to meet Hannah. Hannah struggled with infertility (like so many of us do), and when she was asked that daunting question "Are you pregnant yet?" over and over again, she didn't let it stop her. She brought it all to God. We can take a look at Hannah's story and her dedicated prayer life and learn from it. Join me today as we learn more about Hannah, what her go-to method of dealing with Peninnah was, and how we can be more like Hannah.
