WE ARE BACK! After a super long hiatus, we are back with refreshed hearts and minds. And what better way to restart our engines than to introduce to our listeners an amazing personal project helmed by our own Marlysa. Marlysa and her friends have started a project called the "Projek Mencari Bendera Putih" to look out for those who need aid in these trying times. In this episode, Hannah spoke to Marlysa about this initiative and to dig deeper into the spirit of giving. If there was one thing to take away from this conversation, it's that Malaysians are a beautiful, generous and united bunch. #kitajagakita

This episode contains strong messages from our guests; Elvira, Sarah and Khairil that RAPE IS NOT A JOKE and ways to combat the issue in our society. This is probably our most serious episode so far and we want the message to be sent out loud and clear. Our guests and hosts stand against rape jokes, cyber-bullies and irresponsible adults. It is a shared responsibility to make our community and our schools a safer place!

This episode is one for the believers and skeptics. We deconstruct astrology and the influence it has on our personalities. We spoke to Dina Abdul, an astrology enthusiast, who gave us a run down on the subject. Marlysa tells us her Capricorn quirks. Hannah learns the difference between horoscope and astrology. If curiosity is your middle name, you won't want to miss this.

A note from Dina:

Clarification on horoscope: while there are tarot readers which do readings based on a person’s sun, moon and rising, and other factors in their birth chart, this isn’t exactly the basis for horoscopes as we know it. Horoscopes that we are familiar with in newspapers or magazines doesn’t always sit well with “proper” astrologists as they consider it to be a “vast oversimplification” of astrology, written mainly to increase readership, rather than tied directly to the complicated celestial calculations in astrology.

In this raw conversation, we touched on motivation, inner strength and even continuing our parents' legacy (among other things). And although this wasn't meant to be in conjunction with International Women's Day, the timing couldn't be more perfect for us to celebrate each other. Tune it and be inspired.

The hosts, Hannah and Marlysa, are excited to start this Dewasakah Kita? podcast. The idea to host a podcast or a platform to share our stories, lives and experiences probably started about two years ago when we were hanging out sharing our stories. The more we talk to our friends, peers and colleagues, we realised that most of us face more or less the same problems, issues and challenges. Then, we thought that it would be great and helpful for people to have a platform where they could listen to others who are facing the same problems and to share their stories with others,  in hopes that they find out that they are not alone. This trailer will give you a little sneak peek as to how we started and the idea behind the name "Dewasakah Kita?". We hope this to be the new beginning for us and we want to thank all of you for tuning in. Please LIKE, FOLLOW and SUBSCRIBE for more episodes to come.
