A year ago, we first went to Kidzoona in SM San Pablo and I believe that we had enjoyed the experience. However, due to time and budget constraints, we could not revisit it and have Dyn play to the location.

After we got her assessment from her developmental pediatrician April and I agreed that we need to make her be exposed to a lot of people and one way to do it is have her play outside and not stay indoors while we are still waiting for her class this coming 1st of July.

Kidzoona's SM San Pablo is just 45 minutes away from us. We prepared around seven in the morning after we ate breakfast and left our home around nine. Though I am still groggy because my shift ended at around five in the morning we decided to continue with the plan.

Around 9:45 AM we reached SM San Pablo, the mall's still closed and we just roam around the area in the meantime. Dyn-dyn's not running thanks to the hack that we learned from the Facebook Group that we joined wherein they share that for kids that are too energetic we can use bags with some weights for them to channel their energy and at the very least regulate their actions.

The early bird gets the chance to enjoy the venue.

We were first to arrive in the place. While some kids are lining up we are already enjoying the venue. We first tried the slide.

In our first attempts Dyn-dyn's too afraid on letting go to the handle. When sliding she's too slow and feels like she is just pushing her butt off just to go down. We have tried it several times as there's no one in line until she got used to it.

| | | | --- | --- |

Trampolines are lifesavers to parents of some of their kids so that they can release the excess energy that their little one have. Dyn loves jumping around and we were thinking if we should buy one for ourselves, I told April that if Dyn enjoyed playing we might get one but if she doesn't then we will scratch off the idea. She played in the trampoline for quite some time but afterward she left. Hence it is a no for us.When she left the trampoline area, we saw a big inflatable slide and decided to try it. We first show Dyn-dyn how to climb the slide as she's holding onto April and standing, but slowly she learns that she needs to use her whole body to crawl up.

| | | | --- | --- |

After multiple slides. I got a bruise in my elbow as when we used the slide my elbow scratched the slide hahha. April mentioned that it does make sense why the signage says either we hug ourselves during slides or just raise our hands to avoid injuries. To which I didn't do btw.

| | | | | --- | --- | --- |

We also joined her with playing and teach her how to use the stuff around.

| | | | --- | --- |

At this point we are just roaming around playing and letting Dyn be familiar with people. There's a ton of kids already in the place and at some point, she's interacting already to some of the kiddo's in the area.

| | | | | --- | --- | --- |

We definitely saw a huge improvement on her over the past month after the diagnosis. With the help of the activities that we do in a daily basis we are seeing everything in a more positive note. What we look forward to is for her conversational skills to improve as she's not that conversant hopefully the webinar that we will be joining tomorrow will be of help so that we can learn more about the tips and tricks that we can do to improve her speech. This will be facilitated by a licensed speech therapist and after the session we can somehow ask her help with the diagnosis as we still need to have the speech therapy session to be completed for Dyn and while waiting for a slot to open we should do what we can in the meantime.

Also as we checked Dyn, we noticed multiple kids experiencing the same stuff that Dyn-dyn is having. To which we ask ourselves, what is really a normal kid?

Anyhow, here's a video of what we did earlier in Kidzoona.

In my previous post I have shared our Kiddie Themed Christmas Party happened three years ago. This time I will be sharing the experience that we had on our most recent party and get together as a team.

This happened last 19th of November this year, since I had been quite busy with real life stuff especially work I haven't had the chance to have it posted here in Hive.

Before we arrived in the conclussion that we will be celebrating our party in Teppanya there's a lot of options that we discussed. One was a team building party in Pansol, Laguna wherein we will be having at the very least an overnight stay and swimming party, we can still include our family members in the said team building as the majority of everyone know each other already since we had been teammates for more than three years.

Since some of us have babies and that includes me, I mentioned that I am not seeing that yet as possible this time as I want to be home in the evening. We crossed out the plan and checked other options, everyone agreed to have a lunch instead in Alabang Muntinlupa as the majority of the members reside near the area. I on the other hand lives the farthest around three to four hours away.

Having everything set, as they scur the restobars we encountered a small problem. The majority of the place that they had inquired doesn't have a separate room / function hall and that is where we arrived in Teppanya.

Travelling

Since I live in the farthestmost area, I have asked Inna one of our teammates if I can ride on their car and pick me up along the way. I am at the very least an hour or two away from her and she agreed that we will just meet in Calamba. I left home at around 9:30 AM and arrived in the meet-up location around 11:30 AM. I was greeted by Nema ( Inna's partner) and while we are travelling to the place we talked about our work and our issues with a certain colleague of ours in a different division. We just laughed while we are driving along the highway. It wasn't that traffic and we reached the place at around 12:30 PM.

Famished with the ride, when we reached our tables we were already offered with some side dishes that I failed to take pictures of. We picked the cheapest package per person btw since the meal was already a day's worth of our salary and it was just the vibe and somehow for video purposes since we saw in some food vlogs that they cook everything in front of you and there's some sort of entertainment coming from the chef.

The chef asked if he will have we want our beef to be rare, medium rare or well done. I am hesitant to pick the first two and opting to say that it should be well done as I experienced eating medium rare food and oh boy! The experience was terrible but he mentioned that the meat that they used is perfect for medium rare as we can still enjoy the sweet taste of the beeef and it's juicyness.~~nce he already decided that, why is he still asking us on how we prefer the food right? Paladesisyon din si bes~~ Upon hearing it everyone agreed to have it cooked that way.

It was unli servings from meat to shrimp and even rice. For the price, I can say that it was worth-it since meat products are quite costly nowadays. It was a once a year event so I guess it will pass and I have more than 300+ days to save up going forward.

The most exciting part for me is the juggling of the egg. The chef, did it perfectly ( no video available as I was busy enjoying the view) but when he asked volunteers from the team he pointed the men to do it since he mentioned that we are good playing with eggs (insert pun). So yeah I did and I failed at it haha.

How about you? Are you willing to spend a day of your salary just to eat a certain meal? For me, this is a good place but then again as cheapskate as I am this is something that I need to save up.

Saturday, after I logged off in my work laptop I tried to take a nap for a few minutes as the weather was good for being lazy.

It is cold, the airconditioner was off the whole night and wind started to blow in our house. It was not strong the night before, it is enough to keep your fans off the whole period.

After getting some powernap around 30 minutes I asked April if she's going to do the laundry. She said yes, however since rain starts to pour, she's not sure on where we will let our clothes hang to dry.

Indoor clothesline isn't an option for us, since we have two cats running and jumping everywhere that causes chaos in our home. Thus we decided to postpone it in the meantime, and wait for the weather to be better.

I heated the left over food from the night's work and we proceeded on eating our breakfast. A few minutes after, the lights are flickering and after some seconds everything was turned off. Power was out and heavy rain with strong winds began to howl.

We finished our breakfast and told April to check and see if there are news available where we can tune-in. I forgot to load my prepaid phone with data plans as I solely rely on the internet service that we had. Globe, Smart and Dito, the 3 main mobile network providers are unavailable. It seems that their towers are affected too.

I had received a text message from MERALCO saying that there's a power interruption and they are not sure on when it will be fixed. I am anticipating that the power interruption will be at least more than 12 hours as we are already in the eye of the storm.

Watchful on what will happen next I checked the outside of our home. Trees are still in-tact, and no flooding as of the moment. On the other side in my parent's house I am expecting a huge flood already and my siblings already moved their items in the 2nd floor of our house. Which later I had confirmed that happened, Biñan is still flooded and there's multiple people who are waiting for relief operations from the government.

In the afternoon, April and I talked about where should we put our equipment as I saw that the water coming from the mountain starts to fall down and I am noticing that the backyard's full of rain water already and around two to three inches it will enter our premises. She mentioned that she doesn't know as well and I just nodded let's see what will happen next.

We decided to sleep early that night. With no electricity and wifi there's nothing to do. Good thing we still have some small candles in our house that I bought previously as if there's none we will have a hard time on walking as the house was dark already.

When the rain stopped pouring the day after, and power was returned I tried to check our surroundings a lot of fallen trees and a small flood remains.

I told April that I will go to the market to buy some supplies as well since our home was quite dirty due to the rain. Water supply was cut off and when it got restored, sands started to pour for more than an hour.

What did I learn from this experience?

I am used to such weather condition back then but I become complacent.

I was not prepared as the supplies that we had in our home is just enought to keep okay that day. The idea, that I had left our home and I will not experience such bad weather is a scam and being a father now I should have known better and be prepared to whatever happens. I always forget on buying some tools such as hammer, nails, screws extra lighting etc. which now I realized as an important asset as well.

So always be prepared and make sure that you have available stuff around.

The video above is what I had captured after I went to the market to buy some of our supplies.

It has been months since I recorded something in Audacity and I am still finding my mojo to work on the said application.

Except from storytelling podcasting is one of the skill set that I do want to polish as I find joys on listening to stories and learning from the content creators that I am subscribed into.

Previously, I had worked with other podcast's but never managed to continue it as my fountain of ideas ran dry. It was quite a challenge on thinking on what to do and trying to get serious on stuff that I am doing and right now even though I will be making another attempt I am not 100% sure if I can keep it up.

Now why create a new one and an interview type?

One of the reasons why is simply because for sure I will not be running out of ideas anymore in this type of concept. Since each content creator is different for sure their story willbe different too with others.

I believe that we all have stories to tell and at times, a simple blog post isn't enough to portray on what our message is. We need to dig deeper and more often than not since the medium used is in English some Filipinos have a hard time in expressing themselves.

I mean, English isn't our mother tounge at all unless you migrated to an English speaking country then perhaps you will find speaking in Filipino difficult.

Who are your target audience?

I am targetting the masses by simply using the stories of the guest to empower them and encourage maybe to try and pursue the passion that they want to do in the future.

As of writing aside from Hive content creators, I am also thinking of working with some of the content creators that I do know of / subscribed to and see if they can support me on this cause.

How Do I Pick a Guest on My Podcast?

The first requirement is they should be a Filipino that can speak Tagalog, Taglish will work as there are some words that are hard to translate from the native tounge to English and vice versa.

2nd and last will be their availability to the schedule that I will be giving since this is just a hobby content. Usually I am available recording these stuff during weekends and preferrably the interview will be on weekends too.

If I become a guest will I be getting paid?

Since I am just starting there's no payment that will be issued to them. If they are in Hive yes I will be adding them as a beneficiary but if they are not then I might shell out something.

So that's it hopefully I can manage to work it out and if you have someone that you want me to interview or you want to share your story with drop a comment here or send me a message in discord or with my Facebook Page: T-Talks with TP

On this episode I made a mistake as I tried something new while recording.

There's no script at all! What happened was I just decided to think of a random topic from the internet relating to productivity.

Did some few research and voila! Hit record in audacity. Since it was quite tedious to re-record again as I completed the mp3 format I just kept the file as it.

Now can you determine what is the error?

Thank you folks for supporting my work. That means a lot to me and if you have feedback that can be shared please send it over!

I love to read such and will wait for your comments.

Ciao!

Being a beginner in writing or even content creation blog ideas are hard to think of. I myself don’t do a batch write-up as I only write stuff whatever comes into my mind. Our our first episode together with Adam and Claire we talked about our experience in Hive when we were newbies.

We discussed about some of the experiences that we had as a newbie and how we somehow learn the ropes of Hive ( formerly Steemit).

Each one of us answered the following questions:

  1. Was there an Onboarding Process before you joined Hive? If there was who onboarded you?
  2. How Do you onboard people in Hive what are your strategy?
  3. Looking at the current price of Hive do you think it is still okay to onboard people?

We were not surprised that each one of us learned Hive from trial and errors though Claire was onboarded by Kim still back then both are still newbies on the previous blockchain. We also talked about what will be our strategy on onboarding people, how we can promote Hive further and increase the user activity especially Filipinos here. Though we have Splinterlands that have a vast Filipino user on the blogging side, we are still lacking with content creators that we are supporting.

About onboarding newbies all of us agreed that we will still continue with what we do by doing webinars and inviting peole to join our cause. As per the recent announcement by the new admin of @hiveph Adam

Di naman kami yayamanin sa upvotes dahil walang pera sa hiveph pero kaya naman naming kayong turuan paano maging crypto literate dahil yun yung mas importante kesa sa upvotes na nakukuha ninyo.

Which is the core of what we do as a community.

Also Adam shared that he is willing to meet everyone in person as long as we visit him in Iloilo because he "cares" for us.

Welcome to Pod Spam - Spamming the Blockchain one episode at a time. This is your host @tpkidkai and for today's episode we will talk about How to Stop Comparing yourself to Others?

Envy comes from people's ignorance of, or lack of belief in, their own gifts. -

Jean Vanier -

Have you ever caught yourself in a scenario wherein you compare your life and the lives of others to yourself? I think this has been common for some and I myself isn't free for such a habit.

We sometimes compare stuff like finances, successful relationships, houses, and even social media reach especially us content creators. We wonder are we doing enough? Is there something wrong?

In most cases, after digging into the rabbit hole our mindset and self-esteem tend to go down beyond saving. We stop and produce a ton of pessimistic remarks on ourselves. Sometimes we bad-mouth other people in our minds. Knowing that it is "safe" because no one's listening except yourself.

So how can we fix this? I am using we because I still experience such and currently working on it.

Today I will be sharing some tips that at the very least helped me to minimize myself on comparing others.

Going back to the first quote from Jean Vanier at times we tend to belittle our strengths, what we are capable of, so let's start writing down at least things that you love about yourself. This stuff is what you can always brag on. Sometimes we are afraid to show off our strengths because we are afraid to be judged but we can always still be humble and recognize that we are good at something.

An example would be I love helping out people. If there's something within my capabilities I would always invest my time to be available because I know that it takes courage to ask for help from others and I myself received a lot of help from other people too.

Be mindful and avoid the one that triggers the comparison wheel.

What triggers you? Is it your friend's social media account? In this day of age, the majority of the triggers are social media posts wherein someone is posting that they are "living the life" that you want to have.

Have you considered the word "unfollow" / "unfriend" or even "block" at times? I am guilty of such before. I always think that "unfollowing" and "unfriending" someone on social media is something dangerous and can create a gap with the person but now I find it easy cause I understood that most of them do not even notice that I did it. Maybe because I have a very low social media presence and seldom use the platform lately. Welp, I really don't know.

Because Facebook knows that I am interacting with the people that I am envious of. It's algorithrim plays a joke on me daily and I get notifications that add more to the trigger. Thus I decided to unfollow and unfriend some to further avoid the damages.

Compare yourself to yourself.

Rather than comparing yourself to other folks why not compare yourself to yourself?

It might sound crazy but it works. If you haven't started it, why not do it now? You start listing down the things that you have achieved so far and you will notice how much growth you have as of the moment.

By thinking about your personal stuff, you tend to think less about others' achievements.

In my case, I always struggle with creating content in previous years. I always have a hard time writing at least 250 words per blog post. Now on average, I have at least 500 words written on my blogs and sometimes exceeding 700 words which is a great improvement for me.

The best way to do this is to create a journal about your plans try to stick with it and list your achievements too! You can join Hive and write down your plans, your goals, and dreams perhaps that you want to accomplish. This is a great avenue, as when you try to share yourself on the platform not only do you get some feedback from other people you also get some monetization with your content.

Lastly, be grateful.

As we tend to see what we lack at times have you ever tried to look at some good things that you have in life instead? I know it is hard, especially nowadays that it is a challenge to find good stuff happening in our lives but take time to appreciate things you have. Try to develop peace in your life and be content with what you have today. Still continue with building your goal celebrate success and failures and hope to achieve better results in the coming days.

Welcome to Pod Spam. Spamming the Blockchain one Episode at a Time. This is your host @tpkidkai for today's content we will talk about why it is hard to start at something.

By the way, this podcast will also be available on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and on Youtube in that way non Hivers can still enjoy and be aware of my main blockchain which is Hive. If you are interested in joining Hive and want to learn how to easily monetize your content you can just leave a comment on my social media accounts or send me a message.

So why it is hard to start something? May it be blogging, learning a new hobby, and exercising more often than not we tend to stop for a while. Ponder and then forget about the plan.

We tend to act within our comfort zone. Each time that we try to do something that is not within the normal program that we have, our brain will send signals to either delay the process or stop it. Also when we are in our comfort zone, we feel safe and no one's gonna harm us in that space.

We also emphasize the idea that everything should be perfect on the first try. We are more scared to look like a fool if we fail in our attempts.

At times when we think about expectations, we give 2 expectations. The first one is our own expectation about our work and the second is how the world expects something from us. When we plan, more often than not our expectation is equaled to the world expectation but truth be told, the world isn't expecting that much from us especially you are new no one will even care perhaps.

We are also distracted about the end product, we can only see the struggles that we may face while doing it, the reception of other people, and positive feedback from them. When we start especially in the creative side we are allowing people to criticize our work maybe they wouldn't like what they read, saw or heard we always focus on the negatives.

Now how can we fix this?

Start small. I would always remember the plan of getting fit by going to a gym. Never happened for the past years however, I am trying to do some basic exercise like running and walking now. As you try to build a habit you will be able to do more in the future. According to what I read, before you can create a habit you need to do it for 21 days straight, and to further evolve to a lifestyle you need to do it for 90 days. One great example that I can use is my manga reading at times I will find myself typing the manga website on my phone each time that I am not doing anything. Been reading manga for more than years and I think I already built a lifestyle because of that.

Jot down your plans on a piece of paper. Categorize which is important that needs to have a deadline and which are the ones that are just there because they are there.

Allow yourself to be a beginner that learns the ropes of everything.

Lastly, try to enjoy everything and let go of your fears. You don't want to have regrets in the future saying "what if I tried doing such right?"

Conclusion:

Doing something that is not within our sphere is truly frightening however, we need such to grow if you fail at least you tried. In that way when you start over again you will have the experience to do more amazing things in life. You have to start with what you have and what you know.

I believe in you, you are doing great each day!

Till next time, this is @tpkidkai sharing some nonsense talks here in the blockchain.

Last Saturday I together with @adamada and @indayclara finally had the chance to do a test recording for our podcasting project.

Our first topic should be talking about onboarding folks to Hive, however as we are new to the set-up we are trying to set the vibe first and try to feel on how we can do things sponteniously. As we always have chat interactions only, voice calls especially recordings are kinda awkard.

Now going to the test topic we had a short discussion unto "Why it is hard to accept compliments to other people." As Claire have shared, this is more on a personal level which involves not loving oneself that much and per Adam, it involves the environment.

I hope you will enjoy the small talk that we did and looking forward for you to listen on the other talks that we will have in the future.

If you have any suggestion on what are the stuff that we can tackle. Feel free to comment your suggestion in the comment side and if you want to guest on the show feel free to comment on this post too!

Hi Guys I hope that everyone is doing great today.

Last 23rd of October we had our very first onboarding session in HivePh. It was a nerve wracking experience for us as we never held such seminars before.

It was a great experience not only to the newbies but also for us as we try to relieve the reason on why we are still doing Hive for quite some time.

For this webinar, since some of our onboarders have already posted their introductory post to the community we will be asking them on what is their experience on being a Hiver. Things that we can improve as well being an onboarder in that way we can transition newbies better.

The webinar is open for all Filipinos that can listen and understand Tagalog, as we will be using vernacular language while we are explaining stuff here in Hive. The reason why we chose to speak in the local language is to avoid the newbies from being overwhelmed on how they will construct their sentences and blogs.

I agree that it is important to be a good communicator here but we also understood that the majority of us are not writers thus we want to make sure that they can embrace the community while they are also working on improving their blogs just like what we are doing. ( We are still working on improving our content)

The video uploaded is created by me and voiced over by my wife intended for this webinar as a sample of what they should expect if they join us on Saturday 4:00 PM MNL.

SHAMELESS PLUG

If you loved our voice-over, you may reach out to me via discord or even on the comment box. We can work with projects relating to infovids and other voice over materials too!

You may visit the original post of @romeskie relating to the invitation.

See you this Sat!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Most of us are not anticipating it but not for the Ramos' family. We decided this year that we will be visiting my inlaws in San Pablo to celebrate the event with them. Last year, we were not able to travel because of the quarantine protocols and restrictions so we are excited that finally we can stay for quite some time in their place.

Having lockdowns in our areas are one of the challenges that we encounter always in our plans for travelling plus recently we got infected with the virus. Our inlaws are thrilled to meet again their first grand daughter as the last time that she was held by them was when she was a month old.

To be honest, I just want to sit or go somewhere else outside the city. Sit and drink some coffee in the morning prepared by my wife and gaze to the nature. For the past 2 years of being inside the apartment complex we long to go to places where there's sunlight and people that we can interact with.

We also plan to celebrate our daughter's 6th month birth date while we are on vacation the reason for that is we are not sure unto when we can go home again and visit them thus we want to savour every moment while we are there.

Aside from the usual walk around the place, we will try to visit the location on where we are supposed to get married. It was a beautiful spot back then but due to power issues we were not able to push through with the original plan and rented a closed space. It was a wise decision, as on the day of our wedding it was raining hard and most if we went with the plan to rent the venue we might have some issues with the weather.

Here are some of the images of the place:

While we are at I do plan to discuss Hive with my brothers in-law as they are always in the social media sites. Either they are playing games or roaming around visiting blogs from others.

Last Saturday, we had our first onboarding seminar on Hive. To be honest our group @hiveph is not anticipating that much participants as we don't have that much reactions from the people that we are inviting.

As @romeskie, had mentioned we are only expecting 6 attendees on the said event. 4 would be the presentors and the 2 who responded to our Facebook event post..

It turned out that we have more participants who joined the event and we are thrilled that it happened! We got 21 participants in total which includes the people who were in Steemit and planning to go back to Hive blogging again.

How Did we prepare for the event? A week before our onboarding seminar we had multiple meetings to discuss what will be our agenda and how we are going to attract more folks to be interested in blogging through Hive.

We made Facebook Post in our personal facebook accounts and the Hive PH accounts as well.

Aside from that we also sent personal messages to our friends and invited people from the other communities that are into Hive. Since I am a moderator of Dcrops PH Facebook Group I did make sure to invite the folks out there because they already have an account with us and why not maximize the potential of Hive.

The Flow of the Program We first introduced ourselves, what we are into and the years that we had been doing this stuff on the platform ( Steemit included).

After the short intro from us we started on explaining Hive in a gist, the wallet, how to create their post using Peakd.com , the Do's and Don't in the community, question and answer and lastly the raffle.

As we are anticipating only 2 participants we expected that we will be done within an hour. However, we exceeded the time and we had 2 hours in total for the webinar.

The Participants The presentors from the event were : @romeskie, @juanvegetarian, and @adamada

Our friends from Cebu also joined @indayclara and @ybanezkim26 where they share their inspiring experience with Hive and the OCD onboarding details for newbies that will be joining Hive.

We also appreciate these folks from joining @mrnightmare89, , @olivia08 , @godlovermel25, @beyonddisability as it served as a mini meetup for us too! We haven't had the chance to meet with them personally and even via webinar.

The new folks that we met are @bisayakalog18, @marcusen, @aura89, @doctorfate, @mami.sheh7, @pinkhub

The rest of the participants doesn't have an account yet with Hive as they are preparing for their intro post but once they had completed everything as they promised they will sign-up and drop those awesome introductory post to the community.

What will be our next plan? We are planning to have this activity on a regular basis, as we promote Hive in our community. Our next webinar, would be relating to staking and powering up. Plus stuff that you can do with Hive aside from content creation like games and trading.

We are hopeful that we can encourage more people to explore Hive as a whole and attract more guys in the next series. ~~(We promised that @indayclara will be the next prize for the raffle so we need to work hard on promoting our next event so that she may find "the one" for her on the next webinar. )~~

Overall the event was a success, it was quite a challenge at first as we had some issues with the recording. Both Rome and I are not familiar on how googlemeets work as we always have our meetings via discord only. But we all have room to grow and learn, I was able to overcome my issues on sharing Hive to others which I am beyond grateful.
