Hello Hivers

I can hardly recall when was the last time I work my body out in the gym. I've always been a pro-active with regards to my health and fitness. In fact, I set aside some personal time in the gym while having a daily exhausting job in the field. That was from the first 3months of my job till January this year.

Everything has changed because of COVID, as we know it. But good thing we have some DIY dumbbells in the house. A 15kgs dumbbell that I can make use of for my daily workout. Alternatively, I also indulged myself in doing calisthenics for flexibility.

So for today's impromptu design, I made a small dumbbell. Dumbbells are perfect weights for muscle toning especially targeting isolated parts/muscles or commonly known as isolation. There are also many exercises that involve the use of dumbbells, from easy to advance exercise sets.

Hello Hivers!

Time flies so fast, isn't it? I'm barely recovering from the last week's heavy work and hectic schedule. Two days of rest are not enough even though I spent almost the whole day resting. But I'm still here, always ready to share some impromptu 3d designs.

For today's subject, I have chosen to remodel a motorcycle disc brake. Disc brakes were first introduced to motorcycles in 1975, where Honda was the first motor company to implement. These are more durable than shoe type brakes. Disc brakes have a simple working principle where friction is involved. Pads are used to squeeze against this disc to create friction and thus reducing the rotating speed of any moving wheels.

I made my own disc brake design with not so complicated details. I made my own bike's disc brake as a reference to this.

Hello Hivers!

Today I want to share a tool that I see regularly on tire shops, the cross spanner. Whenever I brought my bike to a tire/vulcanizing shop for an air-fill, I noticed that this tool is still regularly used despite the presence of a much powerful tire tool like the electric impact driver.

Cross spanners are socket type wrench formed in a cross pattern that is used to tighten or loosen lug nuts of cars' wheels. The 4 sections of a cross spanner may vary from sizes from one another. It is perfect to use cross wrenches in hard to reach areas where lug nuts or bolts are located, for example, nuts from wheels.

In this impromptu design, I made a huge and highly observable difference in its sizes. I made 10, 14,15, and 18 sizes of a socket-type key for this cross spanner.

Hello Hivers and Sketchbook fam!

I have set a new personal record of my impromptu design today, making a 3d model tool in 2-minutes time. Well, the truth is, it only took me more about 30-40 seconds to create this subject, the remaining seconds were utilized to give exposure to the subject. My regular impromptu designs will take 10-15 minutes in total but it'll be shrunk to 2 minutes when uploaded. But this time, it only took me less than 3 minutes in a normal pace. :D

The subject for today is Allen wrench or sometimes called hex key or Allen key. Hex comes from its end shape which is in hexagonal form. Allen wrench is a common tool used for motor repairs and enhancements thru Allen bolts and screws. I bought myself a set of Allen wrench for my bike.

The key is in L body form. The small arm perpendicular to the long arm is used to easily tighten/loosen a bolt or screw while the longer arm is used to remove quickly the bolt from the surface. The longer the arm the more efficient is the energy exerted to the bolt making the work easier to do.

Hello Hivers!

Welcome to another episode of my 3D impromptu design!

Today, I want to feature something I commonly used on a regular basis, a machine tool, and a tool for my bike. I seldom do some maintenance works of my bike on weekends or prior to traveling using a set combination wrench. I do bolt tightening and cable readjustments using these tools.

A combination wrench is a type of wrench that has two different ends for riveting, one is an open-end while the other tip is an open-socket type. I used the socket type on changing oil while the open-end for cable readjustments. Combination wrench comes in different sizes like the regular one-end wrench.

This is just me on a regular riding day with friends and brothers. It may seem so reckless and so fast but I'm only at 70kph at that pace and in a semi-controlled area.

I will be posting soon some of my riding videos in the blockchain just in case if the need to erase them on my phone arises. I also want them to have a safe place of preservation.

I will also be sharing some of my riding adventures through videos as soon as this COVID is entirely gone in our place. :D

Hello Hivers!

I got you a new design for today. I made a simple and is ready to wear golden-crown. It was supposed to be a crown for kings but it did not go through as expected. So maybe, this could be a unisex crown. :D

I did not go on too much detailing, instead, I just add some minor curves and rounds on tips. It took me 10mins to finish this thing up w/ proper scaling/proportion. I don't like to have a messy design even though it was an impromptu but of course, I try to finish them as quickly as possible.

Here's the rendered image at 5000x5000 pixels.

Hello Hivers!

It's good to be back for some design postings. I'm still looking for some interesting designs to feature on my next AutoCAD 3D modeling. I like to remake anime or movie weapons and I am open to your suggestions. And since I haven't found anything yet, I want to share this impromptu design first.

It's a classic design of a ship's steering wheel. I am not sure if it still exists today especially the wood kind but I do find it very durable than metals or ceramic types. I do think the design is still present and commonly used for any applicable kind of marine vessel.

Here's the rendered photo:

Hello Hivers!

How are you guys today? If you're now free to go outside, how does it feel then?

Me, I just had a quick visit on our site this morning, finishing some turn-over documents for our project that has been pending for 3 months. It's exhausting to be fully back on irregular work with an irregular schedule, my body's aching after the duty and when I went back home, I was down to take a 2-hour sleep. I woke up with a back-pain(not a covid symptom :D ) and a rambling stomach.

Anyway, time for an impromptu design. For today's random subject, I picked a birdcage. A lengthy process for a very simple looking cage. I finished it at most 15 mins in time. I planned to create a bird inside, but Nah! I can't make one. lol

Here's the rendered design...

Hello Hivers!

This is my impromptu design for today, a classic ring with an embedded blue gem on it. The blue-colored 3D gem was one of my first 3D designs when I started to create 3D models to share. I made use of it for this impromptu design. If you want to take a look on how did I create the 3D gem design, visit it here.

This design took me less than 7 minutes to finish and this is so far my fastest creation. Most of my impromptu designs last for about ten minutes or more. By the looks of this model, it's clear that I only attach a typical type of a ring, similar to one on the Lord of the Rings.

Here's how it looks when rendered into image file.

Hello Hivers!

Finally got some time to do a quick design to share. Been so busy lately that the only thing I could do in Hive and twitter is to read some updates and crypto news in general. We are still in the process of adjusting to the new normal, there would be times that I will be off of work so basically that leaves me unpaid for that day or hours. And the worst is, the curve isn't flattening, every day there are additional COVID cases being monitored. It's still not safe to go outside.

So back to the topic of this post, I made a 3D design of a flower vase with a flower design on its lateral surface. The design is easy to do without any additional details. I would love to add more flower designs but it would be a lengthy process and probably would take 20 mins without fast-forwarding.

Here's the final output rendered in 5000x5000 px.

Hello Hivers!

I feel so excited to be back again on posting and designing 3D stuff. Despite having a very stressful week of transitioning to work and adjusting to the new normal, I do find some time reading and checking Hive. Also, Twitter has been so helpful with regards to the recent updates and news about the chain.

So here's my latest impromptu design - a simple champagne bottle and a glass. It took me a couple of minutes to finish this up and I am happy with the result.

Speaking of the subject I featured for today, our local government announced last week the lifting of the liquor ban after the provincial has declared the implementation of General Community Quarantine. For the entire week of preparation for the resumption of work, I enjoyed myself a single bottle of beer every night of the week.

Works and businesses are slowly opening but with strict adherence to the new normal working guidelines. We need to rebuild the economy back again!

Hello Hivers!

Welcome to another episode of my impromptu design. For today's random subject, I present to you my own claw hammer 3D design.

I didn't use any reference guide for this design just like those previous ones I made. The whole structure was purely based on my first interaction with the real object and trying to recall those images I stored in my mind.

Claw hammers are your typical hammer for building materials and most likely being used to pound nails to the wood/blocks or pulling out nails from those surfaces. The common handle of a claw hammer nowadays was a welded metal connected to the head. But during those old times as far as I remember, our claw hammer's handle was made out of a strong kind of wood, punched inside to the head's hole.

Below is the finished output of my design. :D

Do you have some ideas or things you want me to design? Comment them below and I will look into it. :)

Ahhhwe, my imagination never failed me this time. After finishing this subject up, I couldn't help but stare at it vividly. I think I just made the deadliest shuriken ever? lol!

Well, guys, this is just another impromptu design. My own design of a shuriken. Shurikens are other tools/weapons used by ninjas before. It's a lethal weapon that has to be thrown to an enemy. The final object has some similarities with the weapon/object from the jeepers creepers movie, the crow.

The whole process took me 10mins to construct the figure it was worth it after all.
